I'm a new CK3 player and I think that I don't understand some mechanics. 1. I have an empire that will be divided into three kingdoms upon my death. Can I prevent that? I want to continue playing as a ruler of all my lands! 2. Who should I grant titles and lands too? Only my family? My court? Maybe if I divide it between court only there won't be a succession problems? 3. When I have few kids - who do you think it's better to marry? Only into other houses to form an alliance? To find somebody with good inheritance traits? Sorry to bother but I don't know any other pro players that could help....
1 check your line succession for each title you’re holding especially the kingdom titles. You might want to check what you’re current succession laws are. If they are Confederate Partition than you can force a change in voters to your preferred heir by getting hooks on vessels that hold the most votes. There votes could change the line of succession for now. I’m only assuming that you’re worried about this those three kingdoms aren’t apart of your empire’s de jure territory. If they are you now have three powerful vassals to deal with now. Since all titles are scaled by rank and emperor is the highest 2 you might want to focus on out titles to family members or people who are marrying into your family. This gives your family renown as they spend further and further away. Leading your family into snowballing into ruling multiple independent realms thus generating more renown. You can use that renown to buy Dynasty Legacies. These are permanent status buffs that will define your family throughout for the remainder of your save. 3 that’s really just up to you man. alliances are useful but you can also get one without a marriage if your a diplomat.

Przemek Dotka yes you can provided you can flip certain votes in your favor for each kingdom level title. Now Whether or not you use blackmail or bribes is really up to you. Since you’re playing Poland can also take the unique decisions that allow you to unite the western Slavic tribes into one kingdom title(mainly primarily kingdom title) . You could make your campaign about uniting the Slavic people under one empire thus making all Slavic owned kingdoms a de jure part of a single empire. Check the ck3 wiki man for any other interesting ideas that you might want to tryout for your campaign
Instead of weakening the Empire by lowering it's crown authority, you could instead aim to modify our feudal contract to allow us to wage wars on other vassals, regardless of the Basileus' crown authority.

My liege, in my humble opinion you since your best quality is being a diplomat, you should try to befriend as many people as possible. They would be able you strengthen you, as you will not only benefit from their strength (calling to war and such) but also improve you as a king as well. Iirc your character already has perk in his skill tree that grants him 2 skill points with every friend you make, which would be great for you and the realm.
Despot Nikephoros II, was a visionary and a man of knowledge. He saw what his father and grandfather did and the land they took. His Grandfather and father specialized in leading troops and combat. He took a different path and knew he was going need to do evil things to stabilize the family , the realm and the empire . He took that mantle on himself and put down the usurpers with a iron hand. I just wanted to let you know I am loving the storytelling in this series, I am really a bit Jealous as i have not yet gotten anywhere in a game yet. I am really new to CK3 and never played CK2 at all. I played a TON of Stellaris but this is a lot more complicated! Its been a really great series with the overall story arc you have created! Maaaaan you are sooo good with this game! Would you be able to help me with few issues? Im trying to google them but I only find answers to CK2. I'm a new CK3 player and I think that I don't understand some mechanics.
1. I have an empire that will be divided into three kingdoms upon my death. Can I prevent that? I want to continue playing as a ruler of all my lands!
2. Who should I grant titles and lands too? Only my family? My court? Maybe if I divide it between court only there won't be a succession problems?
3. When I have few kids - who do you think it's better to marry? Only into other houses to form an alliance? To find somebody with good inheritance traits?
Sorry to bother but I don't know any other pro players that could help....
1 check your line succession for each title you’re holding especially the kingdom titles. You might want to check what you’re current succession laws are. If they are Confederate Partition than you can force a change in voters to your preferred heir by getting hooks on vessels that hold the most votes. There votes could change the line of succession for now. I’m only assuming that you’re worried about this those three kingdoms aren’t apart of your empire’s de jure territory. If they are you now have three powerful vassals to deal with now. Since all titles are scaled by rank and emperor is the highest
2 you might want to focus on out titles to family members or people who are marrying into your family. This gives your family renown as they spend further and further away. Leading your family into snowballing into ruling multiple independent realms thus generating more renown. You can use that renown to buy Dynasty Legacies. These are permanent status buffs that will define your family throughout for the remainder of your save.
3 that’s really just up to you man. alliances are useful but you can also get one without a marriage if your a diplomat.

Przemek Dotka yes you can provided you can flip certain votes in your favor for each kingdom level title. Now Whether or not you use blackmail or bribes is really up to you. Since you’re playing Poland can also take the unique decisions that allow you to unite the western Slavic tribes into one kingdom title(mainly primarily kingdom title) . You could make your campaign about uniting the Slavic people under one empire thus making all Slavic owned kingdoms a de jure part of a single empire. Check the ck3 wiki man for any other interesting ideas that you might want to tryout for your campaign

Instead of weakening the Empire by lowering it's crown authority, you could instead aim to modify our feudal contract to allow us to wage wars on other vassals, regardless of the Basileus' crown authority.

My liege, in my humble opinion you since your best quality is being a diplomat, you should try to befriend as many people as possible. They would be able you strengthen you, as you will not only benefit from their strength (calling to war and such) but also improve you as a king as well.
Iirc your character already has perk in his skill tree that grants him 2 skill points with every friend you make, which would be great for you and the realm.

He saw what his father and grandfather did and the land they took. His Grandfather and father specialized in leading troops and combat. He took a different path and knew he was going need to do evil things to stabilize the family , the realm and the empire . He took that mantle on himself and put down the usurpers with a iron hand. He ruled through dread and made them understand the true family head and ruler of the shadow empire. But while doing this he made sure his heir, was trained in diplomacy and didn’t let him slack off on military training either.

Your reach should end at the isles maybe as far as Greece proper. I am not sure if our great empire is ready to make moves to the west against the catholic heretics yet. Establishing depsots in the Greek isles, Greece proper, Bulgaria should make the situation in the west more stable should you want to get mixed in those affairs. I cannot emphasize enough that further despots would only cause chaos and instability.
