You can tell that this was his breaking point.
At some unused parts he sounds extremely aggressive and some where he sounds like he's losing his breath.
Honestly both the ingame and unused versions works this scene. Though i can assume some people would wish they kept the unused one for more emotional impact.

Technically this is the right shade of red for Wrath.
That aside, he's more heartbroken than angry in the scene. His angered venting giving way to sorrow and desperation honestly fits better than him getting angrier and angrier.

@@konoegiatanez3754 I just checked and well idk if you were being sarcastic with the shade of red because I actually agree now that the one used in game is better. But that's because (to my eyes, idk) the shade of red for this Bodysack corrosion and Wrath EGO (corrosion & awakening) are different. The red is more intense on bodysack. (I checked for both Ardor and Regret)

​@@shlflfe-cedprqul1891 Oh I wasn't being sarcastic. I was told the color of red for Corrosion Bodysack is listed as Special_Red or something and thus it IS a different red and thus has different meaning. Since its more of a Blood Red, I like to call it "Carmen Red."

I definitely prefer what was used in the game
The first one might fit with how the EGO corrodes into Wrath, but the one used in the game fits with the fact that Heathcliff distorts in grief
