I've used and like doing pushups with feet elevated on a bench. 15 reps with 30 seconds rest then 14 reps with 30 seconds rest then 13 reps etc. down to 1 or failure. Stole that from T-Nation too.
Great video! I'll have to try out some of these and I look forward to the others! For your lights, if you only have 1 raise it about 2 feet above your head height angled down toward your face and about 45-60 degrees to your left or right. It will give you a more dynamic light, hopefully cut down on some of the glare, and save your eyes so you're not staring straight into the light! If you have a second you can either go for what's called a fill light or a rim light. A fill light would be placed on the opposite side of your key/main light and either several feet back or around 50% power from your key/main light. Goal would be to brighten up the other side of your face without eliminating the shadows completely. This would help with shadows cast by your hat too. A rim light would be placed behind you wherever you can get it that it's not in the shot (typically high or low and directly behind the talent out of frame) and pointed at your head. The goal of a rim light is to give you a "silver lining", so to speak, and separate you from the background. Hope that helps!
I just got my die empty and RISE shirts! What a great motivation to start the decade right! I guess Americans sizes are a bit bigger than here in Israel though....but hey, train until it fits
Happy new year Brian. Lights are good. Although, the way the lights are currently positioned, this enhances the shadow from your hat. I do love this video. I've been running your programs for a while and anything that I can use as inspiration to help my exercise selection is monumental. Thank you sir.
Yes, please do conditioning for the other lifts. I'm very interested in finding other options especially the ones that are bodyweight or use dumbbells.
For bodyweight only, he made a video in 2019 with a warm-up or finisher with burpees, squats, pushups, mountain climbers and jumping jacks every minute on the minute. That one is pretty killer for me at least.
I split wood using an 8 lbs. maul as conditioning after my strength, technique giant sets and assistance finishers. I just worked as fast as I could for about 10 minutes. Heart rate was up! Fun too! Thanks for all the great content and programs!
Keep bringing the suggestions on! Nothing like making conditioning fun! Still working on your RPM workout you gave out for free. Your eyes do have a dot in the middle from the light, makes you look strange, but doesn't really bug me. It does look unnatural.
A lot of good ideas to through in my workouts for some added variety. I also like that they’re only ten minute so that I won’t start to feel like I’m burning to much and losing weight or strength. Keep the videos coming and thanks for all the motivation you bring to me and the others watching.
yes more!! as for the lights.. it looks like its setup very close to the lens.. try setting it slightly more to the side and maybe turn it down just a bit if you can.. so it just fills the shadows a little
It's good Brian. Such a simple way to add some conditioning to your workout. Love it👍. We've all come up with conditioning to fit the movement we are training, but for me I stop trying to change it up and stick with the same things over and over. So when something like this pops up, it good. CHEERS BUD
Big bro I'm happy for you, I like the new camera gear. And as always I snagged several nuggets from your experience and your sense of humor blended with all seriousness makes your channel a straight classic.👏 (Math major)
Awesome that you mention the Push Up challenge. For conditioning, I sometimes do four rounds of it mixed with five minutes of jumping rope before each round (i.e. Five minutes jumping, then the PU challenge, then jumping again, then the challenge etc until I did each part 4 times). Breaks up the monotony of jumping rope, pushes my heart rate up and I get some pushing volume in as well!
This is awesome Brian. And, despite actually feeling sick just thinking about some of these, I'll most definitely be trying them throughout the year. Wishing you all the best for 2020 dude.
Love these. Definitely keep them coming please. Just approaching the end of my first run through the 16 week advanced linear program and it's working really well so planning three full runs through this year to hopefully hit some PRs by the end of 2020. These conditioning routines will fit in perfectly. Thank you so much for everything you post
Uh, yes. Please do more conditioning videos. Thank you again for making these videos and inspiring me to be better. Also, the memento mori hoodie I got is amazing!
looking forward to the new things coming to your vids brother!! i like the backdrop instead of your living room wall! moving up in the youtube game man!
Brian, how is the health issue you were/ are dealing with going? Hope you have been able to get healthy and beat that 👍.. I hope you have a safe, healthy, happy, and prosperous New Year 👍🇺🇸👍🇺🇸👍🇺🇸
Yeah I like this stuff... I tend to stick broadly to old school full body compound WOs but I'm always open to adding in stuff that's not just BB based. BB channels tend to be boring as hell this is actually interesting to watch
I'll use these, might have to do something about finding some friends tho. Would love to see some for the other days, too. Merry Christmas and a happy new year from Australia. Glad to see you back, man
Blessings in the new year. Good to see you back on TH-cam. I was wondering if something had happened. I remember you had to take care of some important matters, but it seemed to take a while. I hope your body heals up more in 2020.
HAPPY NEW YEAR BROTHERRRRR!! So glad I found out about you last year, this year will be “the year of the giant set”!! Thank you for the inspiration and motivation!! PS Love seeing that Invictus Games flag in your gym!!
Yeah I hate cardio just as much as the next guy so this is nice. Push up medley with shoulder press in beetween at the end of a workout was brutal. Something I'll use for sure!
Hey Brian just finished watched the video, 1 thing i would've liked for you to include would've been like the antagonistic movements for the specific days. For example for my bench day, I've frequently used 3-5 barbell rows into 3-5 bench press EMOM for 10 mins. Just a suggestion but thanks for the hard work.
some good ideas. thanks. I think I get the basic principle, but would be interested to see you cover the others you mentioned just for the ideas/routines. im currently programming myself a conditioning day into my week, like circuit training or something, full body etc so some of these things might find their way into that if I can figure it out in a way that would be survivable.
Thanks for the great video, Brian. The lighting looks great. I've been a bit confused about this in setting up my training blocks for the year year. What program do you run when the goal is simply fat loss? I have my wedding coming up in May, so I blocked out 12 weeks just for that goal.
Great ideas Brian! Ever thought about making a video about your MMA training and/or the conditioning you do for it? I’ll be starting some Muay Thai training soon and am trying to figure out how to incorporate it without letting my strength training suffer. Limited time to train is my biggest problem.

Damn thanks big bro!!! Gonna be implementing this into my program ASAP. Much love and happy New Year man!
Just hit the fourth bench conditioning workout and it blew my triceps off my body
Now hitting some grip training since nothing else works on my upper body
Brian has saved me yet once again this is badly needed
Brian is literally the most dedicated at his line of work. So much respect man
I've used and like doing pushups with feet elevated on a bench. 15 reps with 30 seconds rest then 14 reps with 30 seconds rest then 13 reps etc. down to 1 or failure. Stole that from T-Nation too.
4:28 but I got no lifting friends hhahahaha
No lifting friends crowd checking in!
lone lifter in garage checking in
ANTIsocial lifter checking in!
@@flippino35 lol i feel you...most of the time im happy for that...but sometimes...*who do i talk to about my prs :(* kicks in

Do the others too please, and you looking good with the equipment
I just got my die empty and RISE shirts! What a great motivation to start the decade right! I guess Americans sizes are a bit bigger than here in Israel though....but hey, train until it fits
Happy new year Brian.
Lights are good.

I do love this video.

Love the idea behind the video can’t wait for the others

yeah his bodyweight conditioning stuff is killer
Yes please continue this series! Used to wrestle and don't want to lose my conditioning since I've stopped
This is great information Brian - keep them coming!! It’s refreshing to learn about conditioning techniques that do not involve running
Chuckle_d anything to not run loll I’ll take it
Definitely would like more. Also thanks for the RPM program, it's doing a nice job of rehabbing a hamstring tear at the moment.
I split wood using an 8 lbs. maul as conditioning after my strength, technique giant sets and assistance finishers. I just worked as fast as I could for about 10 minutes. Heart rate was up! Fun too! Thanks for all the great content and programs!
Happy new year man, I wish you and your family the best 🙏
the light make you look whiter instead of red-er ? keep the series going. Thank you and happy new year !
Wow! I just watched this back to back with one of your older videos and was amazed at how much better your voice sounds now!
Great vid! Looking forward the squat and deadlift versions
Keep bringing the suggestions on! Nothing like making conditioning fun! Still working on your RPM workout you gave out for free. Your eyes do have a dot in the middle from the light, makes you look strange, but doesn't really bug me. It does look unnatural.
Loved this! All of these are things I never thought of before. Keep em coming!
This is a great idea and meshes perfectly with my current programme. Thanks Brian!
The lighting looks good my dude.
Lights are killer! Bench is really the only movement I have been able to force myself into doing lately. Gonna give this a shot!
Happy 2020 Brian! Just dropping by to say this is a great idea and more videos like this would be very appreciated.
Looks brutal so I want to see more of this series. Btw very entertaining video
Great video Brian - think I'll add this to next bench session. Looking forward to the other finishing videos for the other main lifts.
What about an upper pull conditioning? Btw, the new mic sounds nice and the lighting is also nice but it makes the banner look glossy
As always, thank you for doing what you do. We're on stand by for videos 2,3, and 4.
A lot of good ideas to through in my workouts for some added variety. I also like that they’re only ten minute so that I won’t start to feel like I’m burning to much and losing weight or strength.
Keep the videos coming and thanks for all the motivation you bring to me and the others watching.
Foot is kinda hurting so no running today. These will make a great fill in. Thanks for putting this video out.
Love it Brian! Can't wait for the other 3 days conditioning videos! Hope you had a great Christmas and new year. Thank you!
Awesome idea for a series man. Conditioning is something a lot of people overlook
Good start to the year,Brian. Looking forward to the next three.
Definitely need more videos for the other Big Three. Keep them coming and we will be using them!
AWESOME VIDEO...!!! Thank you SO MUCH ‼😎👍🏼
yes more!! as for the lights.. it looks like its setup very close to the lens.. try setting it slightly more to the side and maybe turn it down just a bit if you can.. so it just fills the shadows a little
Love condition. Please continue this series!
Perfect idea for a series, looking forward to the rest, cheers man
Lighting seems good except for some reflections/glare off the back wall
Wow! Pumped to try some of these! Lighting looks fine
Looking forward to the rest of the series
I’ll be trying the press up challenge tomorrow! Definitely would like more.
Good to see you back brother
Keep ‘em coming.

I think that OHP conditioning is the only one that I had trouble finding so I'm really looking forward to see that one.
Thank you Brian for this finishing workouts!
One of my favorite things in the gym: a clock and pushups
happy new year , all love

Awesome video
We want the rest of days soon
my favorite bench conditioning work out 225 x 100 reps as fast as possible.

Are you going to put out conditioning for OHP and deadlift? Thanks for all the videos you put together- I’m falling in love with training again.
Happy New Year's 2020 Brian and the NeverSate family. The video and sound was great; looking forward to more videos in the future.
Yes we want more
these same day conditioning bouts look intense!!! my LISS on rest days help with my conditioning and recovery
Lighting looks good bro!
Happy New Year to you and your wife and I hope you two had a very merry Christmas!
Awesome video as always, but i hoped for something which involves rows because they are as much of a part of bench days as benching is
Some conditioning i might actually enjoy, keep em coming
