As someone’s who’s tried, it’s way harder than it looks. You’ve got to have some pretty good alternate string skipping for that. Pat’s songs truly are beasts of their own
I get dudes pain, mentally and physically about his back.....When I spend long times recording at my desk, the constant leaning forward, gets ya after a while
I absolutely love these flipping behind the scenes episodes Alex is the reason I not only started but the quit and then 15 years started playing bass again instead of talent I’ll just mod them
Thanks for this, great to see all the parts together of the making of this album. Torture is one of Cannibal's sickest especially Pat and Rob's guitar tone which crushes and Alex's awesome tone with the Spector bass. Paul's drumming is mighty and George is terrifying on lead vocals
Would be great to see this sort of footage on the next albums. If the Violence Unimagined had something like this would he awesome, like, the same vibe of Torture with Rutan, but with him actually playing and composing stuff
15:40 ish is Pat allowing the lowest two blocks to be further/lower towards the end of the bridge to extend the scale a bit more in order to allow the intonation to sit better??
Essentially, yes. I’ve always wondered if a 7 string with the same 26.5” scale neck would’ve averted this issue to begin with. Then again, Floyd Rose is a fuck.
It’s funny watching these guys take power tools to their custom guitars, just have it made with a longer scale to deal with your super low Ab tunings lol
As a drummer I definitely feel Paul's back pain at the beginning. It just fckin happens and then there are times my back will hurt. I get on the kit and my back is well BACK to normal 😂 Paul is epic!
I saw this years ago and i STILL laugh! 😂 I always say to my 13yo son who has seen this.. "process of elimination!" 😂 and "the real deal...next level" 😂😂👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 oh yeah... "pat protools o'brian" 😂
I am glad that American metal bands don't go out of their way to be "evil" anymore, that shit in the late 80s/early 90s was cringy AS FUCK. Cannibal is just Cannibal, what ya see is what ya get
The Cannibal Corpse Mesa tone of utter destruction... A thing of beauty
Erik is one of the coolest dudes on the planet. Super chill,
Yeah like even around 9:22 when he seems genuinely a bit pissed off at Pat he still smiles and jokes around 😂
Ерік Ліндерман із Deeds of Flash ?
Hell yeah man. Stoked I can watch all of this in one go instead of watching all of the separate parts
So sick to see them making that album a true death metal classic in the making...
i just love the fact that they documented everything in general
the guitar tone they got on this album is so massive and ultra brutal. Fucking Mark 5 and Recto together are like a monster truck for metal tone
I miss Pat...
We all miss pat
not only u, we all miss him
there is no news of him. disappeared into thin air?
5:03 pat pro tools obrien
We all miss him . Erik was the closest fit for Cannibal . But Pat is a next level guitarist in my opinion
1:57 that fuckin 'Followed Home Then Killed' riff man...
As someone’s who’s tried, it’s way harder than it looks. You’ve got to have some pretty good alternate string skipping for that. Pat’s songs truly are beasts of their own
21:33 wasn't expecting to see Billy Gibbons here!!!
Money for nuthin'
Alex webster always has the deepest... sickest tone... it has the growl and mid range scoope... and no pick... just fingers... mind blown! 🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍
These guys do my favourite studio dvds, I’ve watched them all over and over and over. I really hope they put out more of them
I get dudes pain, mentally and physically about his back.....When I spend long times recording at my desk, the constant leaning forward, gets ya after a while
I absolutely love these flipping behind the scenes episodes Alex is the reason I not only started but the quit and then 15 years started playing bass again instead of talent I’ll just mod them
What does this mean? "Instead of talent I'll just mod them"
U can tell Alex’s brain is as big as George’s neck🖤
This was absolutely incredible! These guys are having such a blast. I love the music theory by Alex and Eric is such a ballbuster! Amazing stuff.
i can watch this the whole day without getting tired of it💕🔥🤘🏽

Just seeing how genuinely happy Paul was to nail his drum part made me smile.
Peak Cannibal Corpse imo
Would be great to see this sort of footage on the next albums. If the Violence Unimagined had something like this would he awesome, like, the same vibe of Torture with Rutan, but with him actually playing and composing stuff
Billy Gibbons!! 21:33
yeah, i cant figure out how or why of all people, Gibbons would be there lol So random for him to be hanging out with hardcore metal guy s
well, as they are in texas..so the master appears
I legit miss these.
This isnt the first video ive said this under. But i miss pat.
me too.
Can't say I've ever heard of the 'Grinding your Floyd' technique before, haha! That was wild!
5:53 this is the first time I've seen Paul's part that shit was something different.
That double bass drum is just relentless, Mazurkiewicz is OG baby
All Alex wanted was a root beer
Just one root beer!
The purple grandma lamp in Alex's bedroom made me laugh.
15:40 ish is Pat allowing the lowest two blocks to be further/lower towards the end of the bridge to extend the scale a bit more in order to allow the intonation to sit better??

16:25 That man is fucking zoned in and focused. Thanks for these uploads btw, love watching old corpse stuff!
29:13 George you approved it 🤣🤣🤣
billy gibbons is in..awesome
Rabid just goes SOOO hard
When Paul tweaked his back during drum takes, I felt that.
3:40 is Paul's "I'm getting too old for this shit" moment 😂
As a drummer I definitely feel Paul's back pain at the beginning. It just fckin happens and then there are times my back will hurt. I get on the kit and my back is well BACK to normal 😂 Paul is epic!
Bring Pat back!
Nah. Rutan is doing just fine
Miss him fr
My album favorite also...
Cool guys!
scourge of iron one of the heaviest songs all time
16:40 the birth of utter destruction 24:58 the pedal of death from Wolf Hoffman (Accept)?
I saw this years ago and i STILL laugh! 😂 I always say to my 13yo son who has seen this.. "process of elimination!" 😂 and "the real deal...next level" 😂😂👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 oh yeah... "pat protools o'brian" 😂
17:55 slayer
1:44 splish splash i was taking a bath long about Saturday night
Paul is like the Phil Rudd for Cannibal Corpse. No other drummer would suit the band.
I never see George in the studio with the band 🤔
He does not need to be there for instrument toning and tracking
Billy gibbons badfuckinass
what is that big chrome pedal pat is using at 25.00 ?
Morley Octave Wah maybe, gives lead guitar a beefier sound and is less shrill than regular wah pedals.
Cant wait for vinyl rerelease .Dont fall for ''backorder'' bs .
Alex Webster is a badass
I wonder what it would sound like without all the distortion.
nah forget that
Shit.
🤘🤘🤘
Did anyone catch the dying fetus reference!!
wot
Poor Paul
21:34 Is that Metallica Lars's Dad?
Did Paul recovered from his back or he develop further injury's?
20:55 ☠️
Pat and Erik just happy with the product
21:35 ZZ TOP?
