Paul is the coolest dude of the band. He stayed after a show once in Toronto and just talked to a friend and I for hours before going onto the tour bus. We talked about so many cool things. Our musical influences, living situations, are we in school or not? He asked alot of really good questions, and answered so many of ours. When it was time to say goodbye. We, as gentlemen, stuck out our hands for a handshake... The dude wouldn't have any of that! Lifted his arms, and moved right in for a hug. He didn't want a handshake from his fans, he'd much rather of hugged us. I remember asking my friend "did we hug him? Or did he hug us?" Really down to earth dude. Cool fucking guy.
We just got lucky, I guess. It's easy to catch people after shows at the Opera House in Toronto. The buses park right next to the venue, and the bands walk in from the street, across the sidewalk, and into the side entrance where the kitchen is. Toronto shows are pretty alright ;)
