All the characters in this video are real Albertans who embody the spirit of grassroots hockey. Filmed on location in Cochrane, St. Albert, Spruce Grove, Calgary, Edmonton and Fort Saskatchewan.

I still get goose bumps every time I see this video. It's so great and I'm so proud to be Canadian. Hockey in this Country is more than just a sport, it's a way of life; it brings people of all nationalities together, as well as family and friends. Great work Paul, and GO CANADA GO!

Its unbelievable how much we live to watch our teams succeed and how much we live for the sport itself. In addition to that, Paul Brandt is an amazing singer, and he wrote this song perfectly! Every time I hear this song, I almost want to apologise to my LCHS classmates. Sorry kids, coming from Edmonton to Lloydminster, I didn't understand then what the big deal was about minor league hockey players. I now realize if you're born and raised in a small town, never seen an NHL game live, a WHL player would be a thrill. Ahhhhhh the good ole days when Gretzky was young, Cementhead still had some teeth and Mess was someone you watched.
hockey is definitely Canada's sport, you can say that it was created on a pond or somewhere else, but no place will ever compare to Canadian hockey rinks. they have to most enthusiasm and most activity that they are amazing to be a part of. PROUD TO BE CANADIAN

sir, as a canadian and i do respect your thoughts and feelings towards the sport. i must say that you cannot compare to brenzen nor anyone who is a canuck when it comes right down to pond hockey or an organized event. hockey is canadian wether the russian who actually school the sport like the chinese with their olympians. This song totally makes me think of my brother! I was a hockey sister growing up and it seriously was some of the best times of my life growing up. We would be on the road sometimes at 4 am in a blizzard just to sit in the freezing cold stands to cheer. It wasnt just a hockey team, it was like a family. Songs like this make me so proud to be Canadian!

I was actually there, for the semifinal Canada vs Russia in Calgary. Even though i was cheering for Canada i nearly had a beer thrown on me for wearing my USA Hockey hat. And a little kid sitting behind me asked "are you American?" And i said "yes" he said "then why are you cheering for Canada?" I said"its called the cold war ask your parents"
