Went down to Alberta for the first time this year. Coming from europe it was so awesome to see the hospitality, beauty and warmth in this province. The people here made me feel like Alberta was my home away from home. I will definitely be back someday!
You appreciate it so much more if you were not born or raised here. I remember seeing the wild horses and thinking...just...wow. (Lived in Chile, Germany, France, Italy Spain, USA, Mexico). Alps and Andes also have fantastic mountains.
Alberta is definitely the Texas of Canada. Strong economy, oil country, beef country, generally conservative, and independent. As an American I absolutely love this song.
Born, raised, and lived all my life in Alberta. Been to many other places in the world, but Alberta, Canada always has been, and always will be, my home.
Been gone since 08, born and raised but go back once in awhile! Alberta is not what it once was. Family move on and friends change the scenery stays the same but you notice all the changes when you leave and come back! Still home and will more than likely will retire in Edmonton or surrounding area when my time comes to it! My daughters will see theirs daddies home town
I'm from Montana. I love Alberta. Spent enough time up there the border guards knew me well. Give me ten minutes and I pick up the accent again. I still have some... and I've been gone for about fifteen years. I'm planning to go home for a visit. I found this song last night and about lost it. I miss home. Southern Alberta is as much home as northwest Montana.
Southern Alberta and NW Montana are pretty much the exact same. The main difference is political. They both have that amazing big sky that they're known for. I haven't explored Montana as much as I want to though! Maybe next summer I'll take a road trip to see Glacier and the Museum of the Rockies on the way to Yellowstone.

We moved to Alberta just 7 months ago and we were driving back from Portland and about 10 minutes from the Alberta border, this song started playing on the radio. I could relate to this song more than I could ever imagine! ❤
Not sure just how that works..... I'm Alberta born, raised, and resident to this day. But Hell Yeah!, almost every time I re-enter AB, from any compass direction, this tune hits... thinking border town radio stations keep it on their permanent playlists..... and I thank those stations, for welcoming us back, again and again... and for making newcomers, tourists and residents alike, feel like they are finally coming home, for the first time, for all time!!!✌🏼🇨🇦

Paul, i lived in BC when this song came out, was moving home to Calgary the next day. I cried when i heard it, Alberta is a special place. The big blue sky can never be explained, thank you for the song and thank you for being a person that stays true to his roots!
We've probably got the biggest variation of terrain, some down to earth people (well, most of 'em) hell, we can go through all 4 seasons in a week! God I love this province.
Old comment but.. I do hope you are not referring to you guys driving, guess most of you seem to fly when you drive. Oh, and hi from the other "twin province".
Born in Quebec raised in the Caribbean, been here in Calgary for 3 years and this song has made me feel Canadian for the first time ever and that i belong here. Thank you Paul Brandt.
My Family and I are Alberta Bound, planning and praying for our return there this November. I am from Canada originally and my Aussie Bride came up for our 2012 Wedding in Banff where I was living. I migrated back with her to Sydney, and two years later we moved to Adelaide after having our first son. Here, we had our second son, only daughter and three more sons, and our final and 7th child and 6th son, is due in July. I left Alberta as a newly married man, and will be returning a few weeks away from our 12 year anniversary, and with 7 children. I am proud to bring my family to the best province in Canada and will be proud to settle there with my family and call it home. #AlbertaProud. I moved so my wife could remain closer to her family, especially as we were starting out, but now it is time to do what we feel is best for the family we have become together. We welcome to connect with Albertans who would like to, even now while we prepare, and to build on such possible friendships more, once we get settled there. In the meantime, many blessings upon all those here and let's work together to help continue making and keeping Alberta great and the place we can be as proud of as Paul clearly is ;-)
I LOVE Paul Brandt! I'm an American and this song reminds me of life in rural Kentucky. My husband brought me here (he spent his life here until he joined the Air Force) from Delaware 6 months ago and the people are amazing! We have coal mines, beef cattle operations, clean skies, and an independent spirit. We just had an EF-2 tornado blow through my area on Sunday. No casualties or injuries but a lot of destruction and the whole community came out to clean up the roads and stabilize damaged property. Kentucky and many areas of rural America have the same attitude as Alberta. This song can apply to any area of rural America.
In 2013 we here in Alberta had, what was at the time, the costliest natural disaster in Canadian history, when floods swept the southern half of our province. EVERYONE came out to help their neighbours clean up and rebuild their lives. There are still some scars, but it showed what humans are really capable of. I even have a picture in a book of Paul here wearing a mask, covered in dirt, and chucking debris into a dumpster. That was the spirit. If you were Albertan, you were out there helping. Superstar or everyday guy, politician or hockey player, everyone worked side by side.

I visited Banff Alberta in 2003 and didn’t want to leave, I fell in love with the independent down home outlook of the people that live there and the natural beauty of the place. I’m Alberta Bound just as soon as I can.
@Lisa Simpson love how you just generalize an entire province. That means by your opinion that EVERYONE is a racist in Alberta if you like it. I'm also going to guess that you're the type of dipshit to slash someone's tires if they have an Alberta license plate?

Home. Born here, raised here, grew up with the prairies and that "big blue sky" that stretches forever, farm cousins, 40 below winters, lakes, foothills, seeing the freight trains cross the Snaring River railroad bridge near Jasper, feeling the spray from Athabasca Falls, driving long miles of dusty Forestry trunk roads to beautiful quiet places, where the Rocky Mountains are really BIG, ice cream at that very shop ... on and on, all over. A lot of our family history is here. I recognized lots of the places in this video the first time I saw it - I've been to most of them. Listened to this song while driving home from the U.S.A., North through Montana toward Sweetgrass, just like the lyrics, and it brought tears to my eyes. I worked elsewhere at times, big cities and in the boonies, but I could never persuade myself that there was anywhere better to live, or any finer people to live with. That seems to be even more so that it used to be, these days. I'm glad to be an Albertan, proud to be an Albertan and proud of my fellow Albertans. And when I die, I'll still be part of the land. The Dippers won't last - of that, I'm sure. Thank you, Paul.
Jim Baritone Well said Cowboy ! It is indeed a rough and ready Anthem for the Province of Alberta. Best Canadian song ever ! We are blessed Paul Brandt is an Albertan and could put our feelings and emotions into music. "A little piece of Heaven found." And yours....."no finer people to live with" How True ! Peace.
Moved away from Alberta in ‘98 and lived in Vancouver, Bahamas and now New York and I would move back to Alberta in a heart beat. Every time we drive home, my heart starts pounding when I know we are getting close to the border. I’ll be Alberta bound for the rest of my life.

I'm from Saskatchewan but some of my best years were spent in Alberta. Sitting here in Australia, this song brings back memories of those magical days.
My brother died last week. 10 years who we had both moved to Calgary and he played this song over and over. He moved back to B.C. but came out a couple timed a year for hunting, visits and any other reason he could think of. Can’t stop playing it now.
No better place to be on earth, Born and raised in Alberta and I’ll be here till I die! I’ve loved this song from day one how it makes you feel if you’re a true Albertans and feel how we feel!

this song speaks to me on a different level, I've been travelling since I was 6 months old all the way up to 16 I'm about to be 19 tomorrow. Born and raised in Alberta and I will die in Alberta
I am Crowsnest Pass boy, and I recognize nearly every scene and location. This song speaks to my heart and soul. I am Alberta and Pass boy till the day I die.
This song remains me of my favourite uncle. He lived in Coleman, Alberta for most of his life...... I remember when I was a kid, we'd go out there to visit him and my grandparents. Then we'd (My parents, my uncle, his small family and I) would go out in the middle of nowhere with only our vehicles and campers and whatever supplies we could load and store in the campers and just rough camp (no sewer/ water hook-up/ electricity) for a week or two. My parents and I just got back a couple days ago from saying our final good byes to him and cleaning out the house he'd been renting....... Rest well Uncle Tim. We'll miss you.

Where the true north is still strong and free
The prairies are a magical place with incredible hard working people
Proud to be from the best city and Capital of Alberta!
French Canadian lived in Edmonton for 8 years while i was working there, moved back East 2 years ago. Missed Alberta since then, I've might have been born in Quebec but when other peoples asked me where i'm from i always say Alberta. Hope i will be able to go as soon as possible with my family
I live in the same little community that some of this video was shoot. I am so glad that I can look out my window and see the frank slide in the morning. And rise my kids in a community that has suffered but also triumphed over tragedy.

So proud to be an Albertan! Love this song & video!!❤️❤️
I visited Banff Alberta in 2003 and didn’t want to leave, I fell in love with the independent down home outlook of the people that live there and the natural beauty of the place. I’m Alberta Bound just as soon as I can.
Love it here
@eathan richards Definitely a great piece of heaven.
Born in BC but moved to Alberta when I was a young one. Best move my family ever made. Alberta is indeed the best province in Canada.
@Lisa Simpson love how you just generalize an entire province. That means by your opinion that EVERYONE is a racist in Alberta if you like it. I'm also going to guess that you're the type of dipshit to slash someone's tires if they have an Alberta license plate?
@Lisa Simpson also why are you listening to this song if you hate us so much?
I wonder if Paul grew up in Alberta? I like this particular song of his, goes good for a country song.
He was born I'm Edmonton
@@evanhammond7305 Edmonton Canada! Nice.

I'm a born and raised BC boy but I love Alberta and have a ton of family there. This song always gets played on my Alberta road trips, it's mandatory.
Jim Baritone i agree! I was born in Olds,Alberta and im apart of those prairies! I've got Alberta in me! No matter what im always Alberta bound!
"I've got independence in my veins". Independence in our veins and taking responsibility for ourselves is what makes us who we are.

Born in B.C. but worked 30 years in Calgary. I will always be part Albertan - have a warm spot in my heart for this province.
My brother died last week. 10 years who we had both moved to Calgary and he played this song over and over. He moved back to B.C. but came out a couple timed a year for hunting, visits and any other reason he could think of. Can’t stop playing it now.

I don't listen to much country, but I always have time for a song about the greatest province in confederation.
From the U.S. this song is cool
I remember last year my class did this huge show and at the end we sang Alberta Bound❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I miss Alberta every day. This song gives me all the feels. ❤ Alberta!!
Hey Big fan! I hope you're having a great Day!! Just a quick note to say Thank You for all the support you've been sending my way🙏🙏 I hope you can continue the good work because it’s duly appreciated, please contact me via email paulbrant8888@gmail.com ❤️❤️❤️
