That's exactly how it should be......men looking out and protecting women, children, and their community. If anything, I think JASON ALDEN deserves an award for this song. I have been residing in the United States now for over 2 decades, and I'd like to add here that the American people (Blacks and Whites) are the most hospitable people I have been previlaged to be with. Come on y'all!!!!!!!.......this is 2024, not 1924. Can we all just get along..... irrespective of the differences in our skin color, religion, customs/tradition, and position in society?????????? This gentleman (Jason) seem like a man with integrity, and I think it is absolutely wrong for anyone to think of him as being "racist'.
I view the song absolutely as a call to arms. It’s a call for every person to take pride in their own neighborhoods and defend them from the crime wave that is raging in our country.
Yep, and I've got neighbors who just happen to be shall we say darker skinned than me, and we'll all be standing shoulder to shoulder if people bring their BS to our town.

Coming from Chicago, what pisses me off is that Obama would not have ascended as high and as fast if it wasn't for that idiot Illinois senator Ryan that was trying to pimp out his wife Jeri Ryan and he had to vacate his position which allowed a lowly community activist to become a Senator and the 2nd coming to the head of the country because of all the hate for the Bush family, which was deserved, but put a millstone on the neck of any Republican. This is the problem in today's world, people will literally go to their last breath for attention. Saying something is racist is one of the easiest ways to do this.
Its just like the liberals calling conservatives nazis when they are the ones controlling the media, indoctrinating kids, want to disarm us and they hate the jews by supporting hamas.
Aldean is spot on. People are looking for any half-baked reason to act a fool. Heck, some of the time they don't even look for a reason and just act a fool anyway. This is a great song! Coming from a farm in rural America I can tell you that most of the folks in those "flyover states" feel the same way.
There is a big difference between a small town and big cities. In smaller towns, everyone knows just about everyone in the town. They help each other out. They actually say hello as you walk by each other and stop to chat. There is always someone helping someone. No fights, no gangs. Just good times.
You go Jason!! This world is so crazy no one can ever say anything without someone being so negative about life. Great song!!! Keep up the great work!!!
YOU ARE 1000% correct period! Jason has every right to record that song and any American who has a solid head on their shoulders knows exactly why this song is legit
@@yourmom69179 you're right but that's a problem...what's "trendy" disgusts me. I remember growing up in the 80's and 90's and you were never looked down upon for loving your country.
It’s still out there. Many Americans are patriotic and we love our country. But the woke narrative is being pushed from every direction. Even down to the school districts to brainwash the younger generations and ensure they don’t embrace patriotic ideals and values. It breaks my heart to see.
He is right about a small town, I live in a small town in Ky. & a couple weeks ago a Man came into town with Indiana Plates, it was late on a weeknight, he tried to get 2 Women at the local laundromat to get in his SUV< said he was Police, he followed them home then was gone by the time Police arrived, next day in the middle of the day, he drove down a nearby street & tried to get a 12 year old girl in his car, people on the street confronted him & called the Sheriff, he drove off & passed Police on the way out of town, he got out of their site as he entered the main road a 2 & 4 lane hwy, a lady from town was driving down that road & someone called her to tell her what was going on, she passed him and turned around & chased him, as the Police were way behind still catching up, he crashed his vehicle running it up on a rail on the side of the road, she pulled over & he tried to get out & she pulled Mace on him & made him sit still to Authorities arrived.
I loved "Try it in a small town" . I'm from a small town. Jason is right you can't get away with in a small town with the things people are doing in big cities. In a small town we knew everybody! Parents watched out for everybody's kids. No one stole, car jacked a car at a light or the gas station. If you see some one in trouble you pull over & help! We made sure every family had a meal & gifts for the kids at Christmas. If someone died or was sick people stepped up to see that the family & the farm was taken care of. At Halloween when houses were TP'd & windows soaped all the kids in town volunteered to clean up & wash windows. Most all of us went to church on Sunday! It's small town living. You don't disrespect or hurt the old, the women, or the kids! JUST NOT DONE!!
It actually wasn't the song that was the problem. It was the fact that they went to a place that was the site of multiple lynchings and hung an american flag from the spot that they used to hang black people from while displaying images of black people who were murdered by the police or who were protesting police violence. The intention was 100% pure racial intimidation and anyone who thinks otherwise is either braindead or racist.
I saw Jason’s concert in person, with a meet and greet up close before it. He seems like a good, humble human. I feel bad that he’s now in the middle of this drama for singing lyrics that most sane people agree with. We just want the craziness to stop. That’s not racist. They just sit around looking for racism to create division.
I grew up in a small town of 2,000 people. And it's like the song says. People who have no better argument for anything always fall back on race. Your race has nothing to do with making bad decisions, doing stupid things, your attitude towards other people or ignoring another persons views on a topic. Your brain has everything to do with it. More people should start using them.
They don't want us to come together and feel patriotic, and fight evil. The same can be said about the child trafficking movie, too many of us hate chil trafficking.
I love how media always try to twist things up for their own convenience to get theirs rates up. They always try to put stereotypes and assumptions the reality of racism we still living today. It will never end when people continue to be so sensitive.
I’m from a small town and I will tell you we all come together, regardless of race!! If someone is hurt we’re there, if someone dies we’re there, if there’s a tragedy we all come together!!! My family is made of many colors and we all love and look after each other!! Take that racist crap somewhere else!! We’re not buying it in South Georgia!!!! #WE STAND WITH JASON ALDEAN!!!
When your soul focus is to find something wrong, you’ll always find it. Never looking at what the real message/issue is. Keep doing what you do Jason. God Bless America.
Been listening to Jason Aldean from he came on the scene and ain't nobody gonna ever change my black mind about him! Dude does not have a racist bone in his body and is a great all American! My black self is not offended and you definitely have my stamp of approval 💯❤️🔥✝️🇺🇲
You mentioned your experience at his concert being the most patriotic thing you've ever seen in a concert. No doubt! My most patriotic thing I've seen in a "Concert" was when my son was in the 5th grade and we went to a after school performance and I saw a school's entire 5th grade on stage singing Lee Greenwood's "God Bless The U.S.A." ! That was my proudest moment ever until he left for the army.
I love this song and Jason hit it spot on! Every town has people that think they own it! Small towns more so.I took it as going to anyone..not being discinated towards anyone specific!! I love you for speaking up..!
I lived in a small town in Kansas. This song resonates with me. If someone comes there to live and needs help, people will give The Shirt off their back. IF HOWEVER, You come their to create a problem, THEY WON'T HAVE IT. You won't be allowed to bring down The Quality Of Life, You WILL go to jail, YOUR Life will SUCK, Small Towns won't put up with Bad Behavior.
I am a black man that has been born & raised in the south & I LOVE THIS SONG. He is right a lot of crap that's gotten away with in the north isn't down south in these small town country cities..❤❤❤
I LOVE that song. My husband and I live in Pennsylvania and we love to visit bars and taverns for live music. I can't tell you how many young, up and coming musicians we have seen perform this song. It is very popular here. I really enjoyed seeing Jason's response to that interviewer. Thanks for posting this video!
That is one of the most wholesome down to earth singers you can ever get to know. People are always gonna try to take things out of context and try to spin it around, it's just how some people's mind works.

The intention was 100% pure racial intimidation and anyone who thinks otherwise is either braindead or racist.

Thank you. Mental illness is outta control. Right! And Jason is an "Entertainer" and a survivor of violence, how much explanation is required? Thank you! Your doing justice to this song and to Jason. SMALL TOWN is the best!
Take Whoopi to the cleaners…..
It has been my observation that a racist will see racism at every turn.
how true is that!!!! FACTS!!!

wtf? deep but non-sensical babble.
That was a great response by Jason!
This fake journalist made a complete fool of herself.
She's used to it by now. 😅
This is a ridiculous ❤ i was raised in a small town and its talking about everyone in small towns know each other and help each other out.❤❤❤
He should’ve called her out to her face about the media reporting that it was “problematic” and attributing negative connotations to it.
He said “that’s on YOU!!!” ~ Take that and go make another mountain out of a molehill!!
YOU ARE 1000% correct period! Jason has every right to record that song and any American who has a solid head on their shoulders knows exactly why this song is legit
Jason Alden is a artist we need more of in our lives
As a South African. What we admired the most of Americans was your patriotism. Imagine my shock when things changed?
@unavanas972 it ain't changed as much as you think. We're still out there, you just can't see us from the road. Patriotism lives.
It's there. You just don't see it because it's not trendy.
It hasn't changed, just too many that need therapy while TRUE Americans still love our country.
@Azhairmaven77 stop being a troll. This is life in a small town.
@@Azhairmaven77 just stop and wear your helmet before you write your next comment
@@Azhairmaven77 and this comment why we have problems. There are consequences for bad action no matter who you are.
Exactly!!
They don't hear anything. People like that are not listening, they are just looking for a problem with anything they can find. 🤷
What I got from the song is we all need to stand together for support, small town is just a place to start. Jason, thanks for this album.
Interview was spot on, the problem in my opinion was the goofball media person sitting g across from Mr Aldean.
Good job Jason with handling your response like a man with dignity! Stand true to your roots! God bless America
Go Jason. I stand behind you 100%. Stand strong!!!
Leave it to the media to completely twist something into what its not
I grew up in a small town of 2,000 people.
We are Americans! Be proud, be who you are and respect one another. We are one people.
There are places everywhere in this world where all kinds of people have been lynched and the buildings/trees are still standing!
If this song was put out 10yrs ago, no one would’ve had an issue with it! Point blank period 💯!! The world has gone CRAZY!
I love how media always try to twist things up for their own convenience to get theirs rates up. They always try to put stereotypes and assumptions the reality of racism we still living today. It will never end when people continue to be so sensitive.
I love Jason Aldeen. People don’t realize the love that you feel for everyone when you are at his concerts. The far left have gotten so ridiculous.
You love him, but can't show enough respect to spell his name correctly
Were you feeling the love when the gun nut shot 500 people at his concert? He is racist and he his singing sucks.
He loves America. The lady must not love America.
she only hears what she wants to hear with that little mind of hers!! Biden needs to go and this country needs a lot of fixing!!
It’s called obscene because it supports America and its people
Jason put the woke interviewer in her place. I Love that song too.
Ain't nothing racist about "Small Town" and I will sing that song forever and so proud that he stood up for his beliefs and what most of America believes and stands for... Way to go Jason! My black self is not offended and you definitely have my stamp of approval 💯❤️🔥✝️🇺🇲
Everyone saying the song is racist is part of the problem.
Since when does being “patriotic” racist??? Let’s look at many of the rap songs…. There’s racism spilling over big time in the lyrics
Blatant double standard for sure.
Every city, every town, needs a Kyle Rittenhouse.
I love this song and Jason hit it spot on! Every town has people that think they own it! Small towns more so.I took it as going to anyone..not being discinated towards anyone specific!! I love you for speaking up..!
Way to go Jason Alden we need more people to speak up against the woke news and tv stations.
Today's world ppl gotta make something outta nothing. Things they should be trippin about go unnoticed. Love this song and Jason Aldean
Clearly anyone who didn't feel nothing about this song sadly is truly lost 🙏✌️❤️🇬🇧
God Bless Jason for standing up for America and against this woke BS. 🙏❤️
That is one of the most wholesome down to earth singers you can ever get to know. People are always gonna try to take things out of context and try to spin it around, it's just how some people's mind works.
It actually wasn't the song that was the problem. It was the fact that they went to a place that was the site of multiple lynchings and hung an american flag from the spot that they used to hang black people from while displaying images of black people who were murdered by the police or who were protesting police violence on said American flag . Broadcasting dead black peoples pictures on a flag hanging from the same spot they used to hang black people from is a symbolic lynching and 100% racist.
The intention was 100% pure racial intimidation and anyone who thinks otherwise is either braindead or racist.
I went to his concert in Phoenix and the audience was as colorful as you can get and exploded when this song started
That’s my favorite song! I lived in a small town and when you live in a small town. What I got out of this song was - in a small we are FAMILY!!! We have each others back.
I just wanted to say that the media is a joke! And we are all tired of them! 🤤🤤🤤🤤
That song is about two bachelor parties coming out of two different bachelor party buses and getting into a fight first of all
They forget that when you start a controversy over a song it puts it to the top of the charts
Are you genuinely that braindead that you think anyone cares about that?
And just like it says UNITED WE STAND AND TOGETHER WE WILL FALL
as long as we are divided we will never be United and that’s what they want because then we aren’t a threat
Next they will say breathing is racist.. not enough air for POC
Appreciate all you do bro! Keep up the great work!
Love you, Officer Tatum, love Jason, and I love AMERICA 🇺🇸
People putting the song down were not raised in a small town. I was and this song says it all.
