This video has made me feel old, I remember as a kid the R Reg Volvo Saxon with the Upturned Flower Pot and Volvo Badge Blue Strobes from Purley Fire Station. R Reg is 1997... I forget I'm 33 sometimes.
Looks great fun, and I'm betting there's a few machines there that many firefighters wished were still on-the-run. Loved the twin two-tones on the Dennis Pump Escape. Beautiful machine too. Great video.
Good to see some of the Bedfords and volvos from Hampshire are still going.... I was an apprentice at workshops and maintained most of those, we built the ET from scratch...... I fitted the Amber lights on the side of the body.......Measure twice fit once!...... Or if you're a nipper maybe twice 😂
Beautiful machines and wonderful men than man them and keep us all safe - thank you gents. Absolutely hate the modern sirens, can’t tell which way they’re coming; love the one with two blue lamps (Dennis [query] SPM141 X on the top, where the lights flash round - that’s a proper siren and can be clearly made out.
Nice to see some recently retired fire engines in this apart from most shows which often use old 90s and 80s fire engines it seems - nice variation of both modern and old engines also crazy to think that, that type of LFB engine at 2:31 are now retired after coming into service in around 2007.
I prefer the variety of fire engines back in the day. Loads of manufacturer's around. My favourite is that E reg Saxon Dodge....It still looks contempory.
@@EvanDowell1213Too right; good old Jupiter started off as a Bedford TK (I think the best version), followed by a Dennis and the Rosenbauer which I’m refusing to accept
@@noooo_safechat2589 no, But it sounds like the philipines, and other asian countries like Indonesia, China, Singapore and some countries in Europe, like Portugal, maybe poland.

Give me the two tones over the wailing banshee's every time!

1:54 we used to have that version of the fire engine in our fire station in middlewich, now they’ve replaced it with a scania
Rain, beautiful place, old school fire trucks, different sirens - so amazing!!
In the UK fire service they are and never will be called "fire trucks"!
Why is that?
@@skunklover5725 they are called fire engines here

I'm surprised the ex LFB pumps are still running considering the way Asset Co ran them into the ground.
