I have a simple question: How many times have you been able to donate finds to the Florida Museum of Natural History? I've been sub'd for a while now (and recently to Bri's ... I feel ashamed that it's so recent, having tried to remind myself to do so for as long as I've been sub'd here - I truly enjoy and respect Bri's art / sculptures, and photography ... Glad to see my best friend back at it making videos! This is your best work yet. I can't wait for all the adventures and big things coming our way man. And we're bringing everyone along for the ride with us!
It feels great to be back, my friend! I’m beyond excited for everything to come and so thankful we have all these wonderful people who enjoy the ride with us. Let’s go do some cool stuff ASAP!
My 3rd try at replying to your incredible video of rhino teeth and the Hell Pig and the tortoise green bean garden. Hallelujah guys fabulous had by ALL...... Wildkyle included💜💜💜
I applaud your dedication, your consciousness and your joy. I, too, donated my collection of over 150 fossilised fish skulls, bird and reptile bones, hundreds of crustaceans (crabs / lobsters) and shark teeth, collected over years from the Eocene London Clay to the Lapworth Museum, University of Birmingham, UK. I found an incredibly rare Hyracotherium jaw, a new species of Eocene crab, Cretaceous chalk ammonites, eel skulls, all now in the British Natural History Museum. Most amazingly, a 450,000 year old flint, post-Anglian Ice Age, "Clactonian" hand axe made by Homo heidelbergensis in my back garden, now in the British Museum. It's where such finds all properly belong. It's humanity's heritage for everyone, not my treasure to gloat over. I just love what you are doing. ATB.
I wouldn’t go so far as to say people’s finds belong in a cardboard box in the basement of a museum(which, like it or not, is where 99.9 percent of donated stuff will go) instead of where they can enjoy them.
the thrill of finding something is amazing tbh i found a bivalve i literally gasped out loud as i hammered it out of the fossil im currently excavating what i think is either an ammonite or trilobite
As a geologist with a passion for paleontology I must say your video was so impressive. Beautifully done. Your attitude towards collecting and submitting important finds to professionals both inside and outside of a academia is noteworthy and to be highly respected. I appreciate your excitement as I too have stumbled upon amazing ice age mammals in northern most Alaska and even more rare upper Cretaceous dinosaur material from deeper horizons at the same location. It definitely gets the heart pumping with joy and excitement. Keep up the excellent work.
This has been one of my most favorite videos yet!!! Please go back again and again! This is so interesting. Please keep us updated on your finds. I am so happy that the two of you found these and donated them. You both are such a joy to watch and you both are amazing educators. I know nothing about what you are doing but have fallen in absolute love with your videos and become obsessed with your finds. Thank you both for exposing this 66 year young lady to something new ❤
I’m 72 and can’t get out into nature like I did when much younger. I really enjoy your fossil videos. I fished the Hillsborough River and lots of rock bottoms. No way to know how many fossils we floated over.
Yes, more nature vids! Orchids, mushrooms, whatever. The finds are amazing! I’m so happy you were able to donate them. You are on record as the finder/donor and the information is available now to everyone. PaleoDad is my vote. I can’t tell you how glad I am to see you return. I’ve come to double check your channel often because I don’t trust TH-cam to notify me.
I have been an avid amateur paleontologist for over 60 years now and commend you both for your interest. The fact that you donated your recent find of a very rare animal, to the museum is wonderful. Keep up the good work and good luck in all of your natural adventures.
First, let me say "That'll do, Hell Pig, that'll do." Secondly, I would watch you and Bri do whatever your compelling your fun to watch and I like to see what you're getting up to. Fossil content is my favorite but it's not the only thing I watch. Your Enthusiasm is contagious
Well, my house could have been fire, and I still would have watched the entirety of this video. What a great and fascinating discovery the two of you stumbled upon. Yes, I'd love to see more. Will stay tuned. Stay safe.
OMG! Congratulations! 🎉 That is an incredible find! And you guys found an Unknown site too! And you are finding bone and teeth fragments of terrestrial mammals that were there long before they should have been! Those finds were unreal! And donating them was definitely the right thing to do! The knowledge that can be learned is the best kind of treasure you could possibly find. Thank you for your dedication and knowledge towards this field. Paleontology is amazing! Thank you, Cris and Bri, for all you guys do!❤🎉❤😊
Oh ,Thank you, Thank you! I have been eagerly awaiting a new video! This was ( NO WORDS)!!!! Appreciate you donating your finds. Please continue the deep dives, the flora, the fauna, the tracks, the views. Most of us will probably never get to Florida to explore like y'all do but we do love that for 15 min, a half hour or an hour or more we can leave our homes and travel with you, Bri and friends. I'm not sure you realize how much videos like this mean to us. Absolutely wonderful!
Having finally made it down to Florida just last week and finally doing some black-water snorkeling myself and actually finding some awesome fossils (camel, horse, mammoth etc) makes watching these discoveries much more real and exciting! Very cool discovery!
First time I've seen one of your videos and I love the way you greet nature with joy. I've never seen a forest in Florida and it's a shame that so much of that state has become a wasteland of housing developments and sugarcane fields. So thank you for finding a place that is still natural and sharing it with us. Congrats on the rare find. So exciting.
Fantastic video, yet again. It was great to see your dad join in on the fun also! I bet he had the time of his life out there with you guys. Bri, or PaleoBri, as a fellow artist I say with full confidence that you do amazing artwork. I love your renditions of the hell pig! Great job!! 👍
Hi to PaleoDad! :) As the little moments you always include with plants, insects, and animals make your videos even better to watch, orchid exploration would be lovely. You and Bri have a powerful and wonderful way to share - both through your videos and donations. Keep it up!
I'd love to see a wild plant video.... It's amazing to see you find a wild orchid... I really like the air plants too... Thanks for sharing your adventures
It’s from last season, but it is also a variety that grows 12 feet tall. It’s a grain dent corn that Native Americans originally developed in north FL. Still grows fantastic.
Donating these amazing finds really is truly special. I have watched abandoned videos where there are fossils and rocks from around the world just sitting in boxes or on shelves going to waste and I often think they belong somewhere where they are studied or displayed. So excited for you both on your future adventures ❤from Australia 🇦🇺
Can you clarify what you mean by abandoned videos with boxes of fossils? I'm aware of collectors finds going unappreciated by families or the disposers of The horde house..
This is SOOO COOL!!! You’re teaching us so much and you’re taking us places we’d never have known about nor seen!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! This was a blast. LOVED the conversation from you and Bre. Never knew anything like this. ❤😊 And Hi PaleoPops!! 👍🏻 Also kudos for donating. always knew your heart was there, but you solidified that with the donation! Well done!
Chris & Bri, we appreciate your dedication to the "sport" of fossil hunting. We love fossil and mineral collecting. Keep doing what you love, and stay passionate. Michelle and Philip
I would love to see wild orchids. I appreciate your zest for learning and knowing... formal school is useful for some things, but true learning really happens when you seek it out, when you make an effort to know something you didn't know before, even if it costs you (not just monetarily but in physical effort or taking the time to learn so that you know what you're looking at when you're out pursuing knowledge). I can feel how enthusiastic you two are when you're out on a hunt, and it makes me feel excited too. Thank you for taking the time to share your expeditions with us.
Thanks for the very nice comment. I am a huge proponent of lifelong learning. Everybody should find something they find interesting, and explore it to the extent that they can. The more you know about a topic, the more interesting it tends to become (at least to me), and there is something very healthy about learning and discovering new things.
Not gonna lie-this being posted on April Fool’s had me a little suspicious haha! Turns out you were serious. What an awesome spot you guys discovered! Can’t wait to see more from that area, and you guys should definitely cover all the bases with your videos to bring the world to the viewers. I know some people can’t get out anymore, so your excitement and education on the various subjects is always welcome.
That paragraph you read hit home, I looked for 15 years, granted only 2 weeks vacation a year and found my first complete meg. What a high! Great video!
How I have missed you in recent months, I was already starting to worry. And what discoveries in this episode and how good that you donated these unique finds. I completely agree with you that donating contributes to more knowledge and the sharing of information and images to everyone. And I now understand where you have been the last few months. Hope you come up with new projects more often. And as for the wild orchids, I'm curious about them. Because we also have them here in nature, but they are becoming fewer and fewer and need to be protected. Please continue with your good work.
Oh my goodness what have you guys found???? I swear I'm just as excited as you guys are. I can feel your joy and excitement. I would love to see a video on any plant. Wow so cool!!! So excited to see a new video from you guys. There is so much to learn thanks to you guys taking the time to share. I love to learn about the plants, the animals, and of course the fossils. It's wonderful to see your love for the outdoors at your guy's age. You an excellent teacher. I've been into herbs for years. I grow what I can. I make salves and tinctures. I live in Idaho so I'm not able to grow a lot of herbs year round. So I'm jealous of the growing season you have. Anyway Thank you so much it's really appreciated.
What a great video from the Paleocouple 💯 I am happy to watch you two in what ever adventure you go on. PaleoBri's artwork was outstanding 🏆 Thank you both for taking us along with you 😁
I'm so excited to see the dynamic duo back in action....yes, orchid experience would be awesome Thanks for inviting us along... Again, I'm so happy to see yall
Wow, what an amazing adventure; thanks for taking us along! And no more staying gone so long… the infectious enthusiasm you two exude is a salve for the soul, and it’s sorely missed when you go AWOL! (Side note: I also loved the little detour into your garden, and would really dig seeing more of the homesteading/fishing/foraging content too.)
Absolutely spectacular video Chris and Brie ! You folks could easily have your own tv series. Your content is so informative and entertaining. You definitely do a great job at engaging your audience, inhancing knowledge of our past and present environments. Your discoveries and fossil donations, will also further enhance and enrich the archeology community as a whole. Wish you both much continued success. Take care and best regards always ❤
Epic adventure has to be my favorite one yet.i was on the edge of my seat the whole time.thank you so much for taking us along on such a special find.😊☮️
I so love everything you do! Love this channel. I would love to see the plant version of your discoveries as well. I've always loved fossils and wish I were somewhere like this to dig to my hearts content. Thank you for all you do. Donating was a wonderful way to pay it forward!
Definitely Yes to the orchid videos! Also excited for more detailed paleontology deep dives. Learning about these species in more detail would be great! I'm always a bigger fan of the science for science sake rather than the search for expensive charismatic finds. Loved the video!
YES!!! This video is everything that is important to you and Bri and I love it! The insects, the fungi, the trees, the fruit...and the fossils. THIS IS YOU TWO! I so love enjoy watching your discoveries, what ever they are. Although, this one, WOW, just WOW! You contributed to the history of Florida. In saying these words, you two do not have to wow us with new fossil discoveries every day, I for one just like hanging out with you two on your adventures, learning as we go, wherever you take us. Have a wonderful week Bri, Cris, and PaleoDad! Thank you for taking us along, it's always a lovely adventure.
I was so excited to wake up to an hour long video! And what an incredible find! I loved the video you and Kyle did recently where you sat down and talked too!! Already looking forward to the next video 😊
The video was so exciting to me that I watched it twice, so far. ;) I got goose bumps and tears of joy! I love watching your passion for discovering our past, on all your adventures. I have watched all your videos and look forward with anticipation to more of your discoveries and fun adventures. Thank you
Love your passion and the excitement that comes from these adventures. Totally understand where you are coming from and glad you are able to share theses explorations with all of us.
You guys (& WildKyle🤣) are awesome keep it up. I've sooo enjoyed watching this channel grow & can't wait for more. You know if Kyle was there, he would've been licking the fossils🤦♂️😁. Yes orchids would be cool too anything & everything please.✌️
Great to see you and Bree again. You have a rocky relationship in the best sense of the word … the palaeontology geology sense :) ❤❤❤ Beautiful photography and commentary ❤❤❤
I'm so in awww of both of you! What exciting finds! I was so excited with y'all and for y'all! I am so thankful for great ppl like you who give up your finds on something that is so rare for others to study and enjoy!! Makes me so proud to be a fossil hunter, even if it's mostly through your eyes! Thank you for what you do for your state and for just being good ppl! 🥰🥰 loved the quote from the book as well! 😊
I am shaking too! Lol. I Love this stuff. You are so lucky to get to do this. I think I would be truly happy if I got to do something like this, even as a hobby, but to be able to do it for a living. Priceless You kids have the right attitude. I wish more people thought like you guys. Knowledge and education are getting a raw deal. This is the only country where learning another language is somehow not good. People like you need more funding for sure. Why shouldn't you do what makes you happy? I had someone try to stop me from arrowhead hunting. He didn't think it was a real thing until i talked him into going with me and he found the first one of the day. Then he was hooked.
Super exciting video!!! Hell yes to the hell pig!!! All the other cool finds too. Yes those were Paw paw fruit. They're really good but only stay ripe for just a day or two. Definitely recommend trying those! You guys have to get Derek and Kyle to this spot! Probably many more amazing things to be found!
Hey guys, I'm from New Zealand, and this video was amazing!!!! I love watching your excitement, and listening to your amazing knowledge about everything, the butterflies the flora and the fauna, of wherever you are. Florida seems like such an exciting place to live. I've seen others find shark teeth on the beach, how awesome. Thanks again to you all, Chris, Bree, and dad....for the video today. PS: that hell pig looks SCARY!! LOL😂❤
Missed you guys! Would adore deeper dives into paleontology!! Especially love it when you show the animal skeletons and what bone/tooth you are discovering. Can't wait to learn more with you! ❤
You both are amazing young people! Continue to follow your passions because you never know what is around the next corner, and when you get to a certain age it may not be so easy to have these types of adventures. Life is meant to live and having adventure makes it worth living! Keep up the great work!
Thank you very much. I can't imagine ever not following my passions in life. I don't know how I'd function. We are going to continue pushing forward, doing our best to go on bigger and better adventures as long as we're able. Thank you for the encouragement, from us both.
My mum and my sister used to be really into orchids, and I guess I kind of caught a little of it pretty much by osmosis. So I find it really cool to see orchids in their natural habitats, especially the ones living in trees! So I'd definitely be interested in an orchid finding video! And wow, those rhino and hell pig pieces! That's so crazy! It's amazing to see how excited you get when you find things like that.
Bri made some shark tooth necklaces and other cool fossil necklaces that we have listed on up the shop at paleocris.com/store/artwork for anybody who is interested! Thank you guys for watching the video!
Thank you for contacting UF. That is an Entelodont canine. That site needs a paleontological field evaluation. Places like this must be protected and curated for the public trust. This is the best video from start to finish. It’s perfect
Every time you go out, I learn something new. Would love to see any informational videos from you two.
Wow, you two found some cool fossils! Glad you donated them. You two are so cute together too.

Epic adventure has to be my favorite one yet.i was on the edge of my seat the whole time.thank you so much for taking us along on such a special find.😊☮️
Very fascinating, thanks for this amazing opportunity to see and learn about these fossils.
I've missed you guys! Excited for what is to come!

Great finds... and hopefully more to come 😁👍
Favorite video so far, you guys rule! Coming from a PhD biologist who studied snake venom evolution at FSU

You have a rocky relationship in the best sense of the word … the palaeontology geology sense :) ❤❤❤
Beautiful photography and commentary ❤❤❤
Probably many more amazing things to be found!
one of the most interesting videos i’ve seen in ages!!
Awesome video guys. Ending was great.
Your, knowledge, enthusiasm and dedication is contagious and appreciated. Thank you 🙏🏼
You both are amazing young people!
Very interesting and very informative.👍👍
GREAT VIDEO. Love you guys.
Wow what a ride! Thank you
Been waiting for a new vid!👍🏼
Go for it! I keep watching
Very exciting video today. And yes, I'd watch you hunt for orchids
Hard work does pay off, you two so deserve what you have found❤. Keep your videos coming, I'll be waiting...
This one of the best videos that you have made. I would actually like to see more of your videos in the future.
Some absolute incredible finds!!!
Love your show!!! Yes, ❤please do more videos on the flora and fauna of Florida.
