Finally a video with good info. About every shop you call now days will sell you a 364.5-369 with a 73+mm turbine wheel and tell you it’s going to tow fantastic as a single for a 5.9 CR with 50 hp injectors 🤦🏼♂️ do your research on forums and be knowledgeable before spending money. Not everyone wants to “change your driving style” meaning tow at 2600 rpm to keep egts down. Whatever happened to usable power for what these trucks are for. Most shops are selling stuff for drag racing or will recommend you a T4 464-467 that works well for a 6.7 knowing you have a 5.9 CR acting like that extra 50 cubic inches of displacement in the 6.7 isn’t a contributing factor in why it can make that turbo work better than in tbe 5.9. Really blows my mind how much bad info is out there. It’s all about selling you what’s on their shelf most of the time instead of what you really need $$
So Would A T3 .82Ar Exhuast Housing On A GTX3582R Be Ok Or Should I Use A 1.06 T3 Housing On It Instead. I Don't Won't To Choke It Out. I've Ran This Turbo On Gas Engines But Never On A Diesel lol
@@DieselPowerSource Alright I'll Give The .82 A Shot First. Turbo Has A 67.8mm/62.2mm Turbine Wheel And 82mm/62.5mm Compressor Wheel. Putting A 5.9 Style Manifold Flipped On A 2014 6.7, Modifying Manifold To Fit Dual Wastgates etc. He Didn't Want Crazy Power Gains Just Spool Up So I Recommended That Dual Ball Bearing Turbo With A .82 Housing.
This is easily the most relevant video of what turbo to use
Saved me so much research time. Thanks man!

Very true!
So witch one is better
I have a S463 1.10 T4 had no problem that even had a 98mm turbin now I run a GT 55 base turbo it’s a 66mm smooth bore no map with a 1.0 T6

Well a 1.06 AR will flow more than a 0.82 AR housing, but the 1.06 housing will be very sluggish to spool up.

Yea this info isn't relevant anymore as technology has evolved.
Diesel performance is pointless
