Pretty hip ! I made a frame almost exactly like yours but I used 1/4" plywood for the shelf pieces allowing more than twice the storage in the same space ! 😎
The ideal spacing between the shelves is 1.75 inches or 2 inches. The Matchbox or Hot Wheels cars will not look crowded and there is enough space for the boxes. 😃
The first one of these I've built have been on my wall for over a year now and I've only notice some dust on the very top layer so far. I guess it depends on how clean your room is but hasn't been a problem for me.
Love this idea. I will make them like yours but was thinking maybe painting dark or light gray. Much better than going out and spending 💰 on a small one that is not custome. 💪🏻
My room stays fairly clean. The one I showcase in the intro have been on my wall for over two years and there are barely any dust. You can maybe try to close it off with some transparent acrylic sheets, that should work.
So in case you’re an earthquake and these cars secure on the shelves or will they fall off. Maybe a good idea is the acrylic facing or maybe some kind of two way tape .

I had the same problem, this guy gave me an idea.. Hmmmm, salutas
Very cool DIY but do you like the idea to having to dust them from time to time seeing that there is no barrier like a clear acrylic coving them up ?

nice! subscribed!
Brilliant!
How many pieces of the 1 × 2 × 8 did you use to make the display you built in this video?
How do you dust or clean them?
What screws did you use to attach to wall. Love the idea i appreciated these video
Same ones I used to screw the wood together
@haibo1035 ok sounds good thanks
Love the idea 💡 but just thinking how much dust cars would collect?! What could be used to prevent dust collection that wont break the bank?

How many nascars do you think you can fit like 1:64
Nice Porsche 917😂. Yeah I’m at a point that most of my collection is in plastic boxes but want to display them.
I like this idea for my customs
Thank you
You from Toronto? I’m building this tomorrow thx for the diy
Vancouver. Hopefully you got it done!
How did you hang it up?
You said you need two wood screws per row but i dont see any indentions on the side? Am i missing something?
I think the angle I took the video at hides them. Look at the intro clip, you'll see the screws on the side.
How did you attached to the wall?
long wood screws on the side
Miter saw
and the wood smells nice...
Good point!
I went to purchase this same wood and it is $2.80 per ft. And each piece of wood is 8 feet so it was alot!
Should not be that expensive, make sure you're getting the right ones! www.homedepot.ca/product/1x2x8-framing-lumber/1000173739
