Lewis... Thank you so much! I've just watched it mate and it is really fantastic. Thank you so much for building my confidence through the day and being so open and honest with all my questions 🙌
Your faces of concentration here when Lewis says something is great, never too old to learn. And if you watch his footage it all looks so easy hahaha, respect to both of you guys!
Bit of a different style for you but it was really good, you come across as a pretty natural coach, not making it too complicated and really encouraging. Shame it was only 17min could have watched for ages!! Nice work.
I would agree with the coach bit. I feel lewis really broke down the explanations for me which is helpful. Like any good coach he can totally nail the demos as well! 🤙
Well, Jamie was riding well! Impressive from you both, thanks, learning heaps. Focussing on line choice first then adding technique (in that order) is helping me, ta‼️
Awesome video and great to watch both perspectives. I am guilty of just following the main line which often results in just too much going on; and will definitely be looking for more lines that will just straighten the run. Thanks to both Lewis and Jamie. Looking forward to getting back on those Golfie Trails.
This was a great video I would never have thought on taking some of those lines when u told him if he carrys enough speed that the bike wouldnt slip on those roots next to the stump that was a really useful bit of information as I would have avoided that I'd have slipped on it never ever occurred to me that if u go fast enough that it wouldnt have slipped thanks Lewis
Great collab video. That’s got me thinking about lines! Some of the straight lining speed was warp speed and nice for us mortals to see how fast an EWS pro rides😎
Another awesome video mate Great to see you taking some time to help out riders and watching you behind him and seeing the subtle differences in line choices is sweet I know where Jamie is coming from when he says psychologically things make easy stuff way harder,It’s easy to talk yourself out a section yet know it should and would be easy hopefully one day can catch you down the valley for some pointers 🤟🏻
Cool.. it would also be cool to do a blog on this again but also showing braking points and where to brake and not to brake . And using the bike to scrub of speed ? I think its something that people don't seem to cover at all.
Superb Lewis. Have just watched Jamie's vid before yours. You're right, you definitely see lines differently to us mere mortals. I would just be thinking i'm going to hit my bars on the tree or catch the pedal on the stump. Does give a lot to think about after watching you ride. I'm going to get myself up there for a day of Line choice with Lewis training! Top job Mate. 👍
This has really made me think about line choice more and you should definitely do coaching sessions for people. Great vid and you are an awesome rider!
Lew gives away the key reason pros fly down mountains and I slide/bounce down at 5mph. I paraphrase but "If you go fast but smooth you won't have time to slip"
Nice video mate, I'll be taking some tips away from that to try when I next get out! Awesome to see you riding with Jamie too, been on a few rides with him and no doubt I'll notice a difference in how fast he drops me next time 😂 Cheers 🤙
Just a thought but you mentioned your bike felt weird while touching the front. Anything to do with the floating axel on the new fox forks you fit on your last video?
Great content!, insightful. Tyre question please - I noticed you used to run dual assegai and now minion DHF front Assegai rear. Is the Assegai better as a rear?
Thanks! Yeah Assegai in the rear for me just has more on an aggressive side nob for better cornering and better braking tread. Just my personal preference! Still rolls fine too.
Can I have your bike? Ever since I saw the Druid I have been drooling over it. Problem is, I am a total noob. Sorta funny how I want a massive crazy mtb for my first. Well, technically seccond. I have a Dimondback sorento from the mid 90's lol. Problem is, I am 6'6". I don't know what brand would make a bike for a tall heavy dinosaur like me. Lol. Great content, dude! Keep em coming!
Oh and Lewis I am sure (and I intensively hope) that you win the EWS round in the valley because nobody knows the trails better and nobody can fly down that as fast as you can!! I am also sure there are going to crash some proracers into the trees there.......
I'm only asking because I dont feel like I can get past a certain pace. Line choices are spotted early and are doable but i find it hard to get prepared and end up loosing the feeling of flow. I may be trying to push too hard tho because I'm impatient after a few years of not feeling faster and wanting to see progress.
Yeah it’s a tough one. Just remember to breath and stay relaxed. Not get in too much of a rush if I miss lines etc. It’s all about controlling what you can
Cheers for the reply. I have no plans to race but I would like to see my riding progress. I probably do need to relax a bit more in fairness and ride some different trails, supposed to be recreational rather than just training haha
Congrats on achieving 10 subs 👌🤙👍😃🌟👋🍾 Lewis have you tried the "Ziggy Link " on the druid turning into a mullet might be good on some tight tracks on the circuit ! To see if it would give you an advantage making it super nimble without messing with the geo ! Here's to the next 10k subs !! 👍 Hope training is going well.
We are all amateurs in relation to Lewis! 😂 Don't beat yourself up. I was worried about riding with Lewis because I ride at about half the speed. Honestly though, spending a day with Lewis reminded me we all have more in common than we realise. Who cares if you are fast or slow? We are all just gid people who love to ride bikes as well as we can 👍 That's all that matters 🤙
Lewis... Thank you so much! I've just watched it mate and it is really fantastic. Thank you so much for building my confidence through the day and being so open and honest with all my questions 🙌
Dude course, no worries. Was a pleasure and I enjoyed it. Thanks for linking up! Catch you soon 👌🏽

Thanks!
After watching a few of your videos all I do is look for lines. Makes old trails fun again
Thanks!
Even when you're not racing, you're racing!
Absolutely loved this video!! So good to see riding with someone else and getting detailed about line choice! Loved it! Wicked video as per!
Thanks a bunch!

Brilliant, generous of you mate!
King of the high line!! Great breakdown man! No one does it as good or as fast as you. Well done.
Cheers dude!
Lewis great collaboration with Jamie and much for us have a go bikers to learn from. Thank you.
Kevin thanks! I hope you can take some tips and something away from this!
Really great to see a wee collaboration with you two. It was only a matter of time I’m sure.
Thankyou so much! 😊

Awesome you take the time for that mate, I like how you look at the trail and see the lines, I get sucked into the main lines to much.
Thanks rich!

Been waiting for this crossover since birth
Haha
I would love it one time in my life visit scotland and go mountainbiking.

Learnt a lot from your videos. More videos like this would be great👍🏻🤙🏻
Thanks!
Bike looks mint now with the orange
Cheers
Your channel is mint (sauce) lol. Though I have been thoroughly impressed and spent hours learning and in awe of a pro at work! Thank you bro
Thanks Chris! Appreciate it
Great vid with Jamie 🤘🤘 you two should collab again 👍👍
Thanks Julia

I mean potentially🤷🏼♂️
Awesome video Lewis! What full face helmet are you rocking in this?
The new fox rampage
Thx Lewis !!! You’re the best 🤟💪 Your Videos are teaching me so much... it‘s the best !!!

crackin video - good to see it from 2 different views as well ... thanks

Hey Lew, what made you pick the 36 instead of the 38? Do you not like the added stiffness of the bigger stanchions?
36 just fits and suits this bike a bit better!
Spotting lines with Lewis 🤔
Oh and Lewis I am sure (and I intensively hope) that you win the EWS round in the valley because nobody knows the trails better and nobody can fly down that as fast as you can!! I am also sure there are going to crash some proracers into the trees there.......

@@LewisBuchanan An incredible goal and if you get it I will scream so the whole village will hear it hahaha!
Sick video man 🔥🤙
Cheers!
Hi it would be great if you could make a video on how to corner fast
Maybe I’ll try something like that soon
How do you keep in sync with busier trails when going fast and if you get out of sync do you do anything to recover other than backing off?
