This is the way the song should be released. I'm not crazy about the 1988 demo version as a mid tempo rocker. This needs to be sung as a ballad by Vinnie himself. You can hear why Gene Simmons has even admitted that Vinnie was a much a better songwriter and singer than he is.
I think it is pretty obvious that Vinnie is a better songwriter and singer than Gene. Vinnie is probably a better guitar player than Gene also, Captain Obvious Kevin.
In my opinion, Vinnie Vincent's Tears is one of the best songs ever created, a landmark and a very valuable collectible for any rock or kiss fan. I hope someday the Vinnie Vincent and Adam Mitchell version could be properly mastered from the source tracks. In addition, this acoustic performance of the tune is on the way to become a timeless classic.
Great presentation of this. Really the best part of the event. Is right there! I've never really known that much about this guy. Just the natural periphery stuff everyone sees, I suppose because of the KISS connection, mostly. 'But the residual effect of this event, and all the You Tube related stuff now popping up, got me to investigate him further. Definitely seems to be the great songwriter, singer, guitar player many of his peers in the industry, as well as the fans, say he is. I have the John Waite album that has his cover of that song, on it. Never knew who wrote it. Now I've heard 3-4 different versions on You Tube. Always liked the song though. You can kind of super impose the latter part of Layla over it. heh (Try it ) But this performance by the composer really grabs you. It's got the want to listen to it over and over again factor. He seems poised to be able to be able to do some productive money making things(In the music vein something actually good). A book for sure. If somebody like Duff McKagan can put out a book. . . heh Plus some sort of album. With like that Alvin Bishop, Ron Sexsmith feel of this performance.
Vinnie Vincent is incredible songwriter and Guitar Player! Vinny’s voice is also incredible and he has a much better tone then Paul Stanley or Gene will ever have just an incredible piece of talent I sure hope he finds his way back again ! If he just begins with releasing an acoustic record I think it’ll go over big and kick start the whole Vinnie Vincent invasion I’m sure Gene and Paul will be begging him to come back and right material for them, Lord knows they need a schooling and songwriting, Gene and Paul sometimes never learn! Peter and Ace are also better songwriters these days than Gene, Paul, Tommy & Eric Together!

Vinnie could be like Bruce Kulick-Bruce gets invited to the Kiss Kruises and gets to put a band together to play Kiss songs as he seems fit Vinnie-nowhere to be found except asking fans for $500 for the right to see him and hear him LOL
He has that 1950's ballad singer voice and i bloody love it
