I am not only a big fan of your useful and inspiring content, but also of your smart sense of humour which you know exactly when and how to use it. I love you Jeff ❤
I love your videos and I usually agree with your suggestions, but this time I don't. Most of your 20 suggestions would decrease my productivity substantially. But I still wanted to comment for the algorithm. Looking forward to your next video. Cheers.
I LOVE candid feedback so this is great Patrick, please keep it up! I'm genuinely curious though: Can you give me an example where the recommendation from the video makes your work less efficient?
@@JeffSu OK. You didn't quite explain how you e.g. delete a single email without opening it. That's what I usually do with the hover action. The keyboard shortcuts don't do it for me, I will keep the hover actions for now. But already implemented many other things you proposed in the video and Gmail feels nicer for sure!
Good ideas. Even if I wouldn't use everything. I also added a small script to automatically delete some promotional offers after a few days.Mine of it's interesting, because they are in a specific folder, I need a code I go into it, but after X days the email is deleted and I don't have 500 emails that pollute me
@JeffSu One question: Moving from bottom to top works fine for gmail, but in outlook the conversations feature does not work that well. So would it be better to move from top to bottom when you have deactivated conversations? Otherwise you may run into the pitfall, that you reply to an email, that has already been answered in a more recent e-mail?
Always find your tips so useful. Question for you. Is there a way to search my waiting inbox by label? Use case - when I have a meeting with someone I'd like an easy way to see everything I'm waiting for from that person. Could be to check that they've followed through on a action item. Appreciate any guidance.
Great question - Long story short Gmail went through a major upgrade this year so the previous workflow is now outdated. 😅 Since Gmail will never stop evolving (which is a good thing) and to make sure you're getting the absolute most out of your email, I host live workshops for my Workspace Academy students where we'll dive into the freshest inbox management strategies together. Jeff - any tips for someone who works in the Google Suite and likes gmail, but doesn't like having to access gmail via a web browser? (this individual is too easily distracted by TH-cam lol).
Jeff, what it’s your opinion sticking to google mail or superhuman ? I saw just this video, and I’m thinking to close superhuman. What’s your opinion about this ? Thx! ;) Sam
Fab tips Jeff - as you said a lot of the settings are down to personal preference (I find the Nudges feature really helpful to me lol) Can I ask if there is a specific reason you don't have your Spam label set as 'Show if unread' too? I would completely forget to check mine if I had it hidden 😂
Hello Jeff Su! I would love to see a comprehensive video guide on building a successful career as a recent university graduate, especially for those of us in fields like Digital Marketing, Marketing Innovation/International Marketing, PR and Communications, the corporate world, international trade, international business, international logistics, and supply chain management. It would be incredibly helpful if the guide could cover specific steps to take as a new graduate to advance quickly and strategically, including tips on acing interviews, choosing the right companies and employers, and becoming an ideal candidate for roles in multinational corporations. Additionally, as a recent graduate in International Relations, I’m seeking guidance on how to build a thriving career without an existing professional network. I’d appreciate tips on where to connect with recruiters online and use resources to network effectively and secure the best career opportunities. Thank you so much for considering this video topic-it would be a game-changer for recent graduates like me!

I have trouble deciding where to write my notes, there are too many apps. RIght now I am using Notion, samsung notes, obsidian. Notion because I havent move my old data, because they are hard to export somehow. samsung notes, because I immediately write notes using tablet, and easily sync to my phone. Obsidian, because I am trying to create a second brain. is there a way to make this effective? I prefer to have one apps for all my notes, but I dont think that is possible, because some features are available only on each apps.

Great video and I'm trying all of these options now. I'm surprised you didn't mention # for delete. That's one of my most used shortcuts.

Hey Jeff , great video again. Question: you edit your videos yourself, if not who is, any recommended ways to go for a newbie?
You can find everything I use here: www.jeffsu.org/gear/
That's some nice tips there.
Thanks 😁

Maybe I missed it but what is the easier way to access the hover actions that you said you would mention in the video?
The keyboard shortcuts

Fantastic tips, I didn’t know about most of these! Curious if you know of a way to prevent out email sends from ever going to sendee’s spam/junk?
(not joking) I think the only way is to make sure your emails don't get flagged by the recipients

Yup feel free to switch it up for Outlook!

Create a "waiting" label and tag emails where someone else has to take action with that label.
Jeff, MacBook 14 inch or 15 inch? Which do you prefer and why?
16, i need the larger screen real estate
@JeffSu is it stationary or do you travel with it? Is it too big?
@@Kian_Mah I travel with it, no issues for me!
I have been using your inbox zero tips and looks like you've got a new set up. Will you be sharing or creating a new video about it? 😍
It's part of my course at the workspace academy actually 😂
These tips save so much time, thanks! How can i divide my inbox like yours in personalized tags (pending/pinned)?
It's my Task Zero workflow 😁
can you make a detailed video on organizing inbox using multiple inboxes

Jeff - any tips for someone who works in the Google Suite and likes gmail, but doesn't like having to access gmail via a web browser? (this individual is too easily distracted by TH-cam lol).
You can download Gmail as a standlone app via Chrome
Can you do outlook next? I would also be curious to know your mail app of choice.
I mainly use Gmail! I don't use Outlook all that much 😅

can you create a video topic regarding OBSIDIAN NOTES? Obsidian vs Notion, how you take notes etc2.
I have trouble deciding where to write my notes, there are too many apps. RIght now I am using Notion, samsung notes, obsidian.
Notion because I havent move my old data, because they are hard to export somehow.
