Super cool. 5 minutes ago, I was like "god! what a pain, I have to create a new Gmail for a new registration", then after your video, , I feel life is not as hard as I made it to be. Knowledge is power, indeed. Thanks!
I knew that a period could be used and still have the same result, but didn’t realise I could just input that into sites and it would pick it up as a different address. This is genius, thank you! Such a simple, easy tutorial to follow.
You must not use TH-cam a lot. I learned to fly a plane on this platform before passing my test. Remodeled my house with it. YT is awesome for learning.
This information was ground breaking for me. I never knew such feature exist. Now I can use hundreds of addresses without making new accounts. Thank you!
Except, no matter how many variations you create@@arpit.sharma they all result in more email and spam in the same account. What's the point of "creating multiple variations" if your still going to receive email for every alternate variation you create... I'm three same inbox?
You probably just kept my hopes alive for my dreams of my own home business. This is the solution that I was absolutely searching for with having multiple email addresses. Thank you so much for doing this video. You're definitely a godsend. May God Jesus bless you always. 😊
This is the only thing that I was able to come up with@@779hollywood... Although you're not going to reduce the amount of email or spam that you'll receive in your regular inbox... You could however, use the modified alias to create a filter in your inbox that would automatically put all emails sent to your alternate address in a sub 📂 folder to reduce clutter in your main inbox.
I think a big part of the answer could come down to: being able to organize better, by tracking all entities that you've entered the "new" email address into. Then whenever you see this "new" email replied to in your inbox...you know its origin (unless of course, when receiving the new email back, it shows up as your original email; but I don't think it does.)
You are the best person ever I was trying to make a new account for a service and it said my email wasn’t available and I did the plus trick it worked right away thank you!
You have an EXCELLENT teaching style. You are easy to understand, speak in a very clear voice, always explaining from the perspective of the novice. OMG and when you mentioned using "googlemail" as a substitute for "gmail", I said out loud, "really?". You paused perfectly long enough for me to say that, and then you said, "Yes, really" as if to answer me. I couldn't stop laughing. Bravo.
Kinda surprised this surprised anyone! I literally figured this was the case before I ever heard about it anywhere, and tested it out. It's obvious that G stands for Google, so it was pretty obvious that Google would work as well as G.
Explanation is nice . It works ( I mean "+") , but I can not get the benefits of this as e-mails are coming to the same inbox and filter must to be applied.
My exact sentiments@@vassarian! Can anyone explain to me why this is so revolutionary to their operations when your inbox still gets flooded with spam? I suppose the one possible scenario would be to filter all emails with a 'plus' or 'period' in the address so that emails sent to your alternate already can easily be automatically separated after receiving.
@@LandonShipman-iDzynes Exactly. I have been using 2 mail accounts for a long time now and im at a point where only one mail gets all the mails and there is no use for the first one. And dont get me started on syncing and logging into websites using mail. It gets super confusing. So yeah, im gonna only use 2 specific random words after the plus, and filter it by that, for my professional and un professional account.
It's a shame that plus addressing doesn't work on multiple sites, because the characters you're allowed to enter into the email address field when registering or signing up for things are usually parsed for security reasons and thus don't allow any special characters like the plus + character or < > etc, to stop code injection. In other words if your entered address doesn't match the standard format of 0-9, a-Z @ recognized mail server, it won't let you register.
Oh wow!!! I had been looking for something like this for a long time to incorporate into my daily course of doing business. This is amazing! Exactly whatI needed. Thank you, thank you, Thank you!!!!
Brilliant, i always need to create a new account in clients name but with email address to do business for them then passing the account to their email address, it works like a charm.
Wow Tasia, you are a wizard and how, you have all the knowledge and skills and you teach like you invented it ! Inspiring and motivating , well done. Some day all teachers will be like this !
Appreciate the tips. However, what if I no longer want to use that "+" email name, nor to I want to receive any more emails from that "account" - what do I do then? Is this technique only useful as a sorting utility for receiving emails?
wow, it's really amazing, I needed to create multiple emails for my work about 10 and of course I don't have 10 phone numbers but I just got this way from you to create emails without phone numbers and in the same inbox!! What a legend, thank you so much
great simple explanation - thanks! you might want to "bullet point" each technique as you go thru them. finally, is there a video on how to setup gmail filters using these +addresses? To me, that's where the real power in these +addresses lies!
You are terrific, excellent teacher, Intelligent and straight forward. I salute to you. Now I need to know how to separate my new email account in my inbox .
Do you have to add this email address with the dot or the plus in settings where it says add another email address? When I email a test to my my gmail account it works with the + but not with the dot.
The "dot" method will not work. That email address will come back as undeliverable or will be delivered to whoever else actually has that email address. Either we all didn't follow or her "dot" instructions are incorrect
Thanks for the easy and understandable technics. it may be silly to ask, but can you explain what is the point of changing your email addresses when the original address still can be seen by others? Please let me know the benefit of it.
Hi Tasia. I was wondering if you could do a wee video illustrating how we could set up a couple of email addresses (with different domains) representing two different businesses from the same account. From here we choose which business we write from and receive email to. I couldn't find that in your huge array of Gmail tips. I'm going bonkers trying to sort this. Anyway; that'd be great. Cheers.
10/10! It's a rare day when I learn something new in the tech world, but by golly this Gmail address stuff I have no idea about and I'm so stoked to now be aware of it. Super helpful when you need to make 2 accounts on the same service or whatever but can't be bothered to make an actual new email account. Thanks for the hot tips, spectacular! 😄😸
But you're NOT making 2 accounts, it's still ONE SINGLE ACCOUNT, and all emails will go to the same inbox. It's one account, so why add more info to your email address to make it longer? For example, if you're doing this to have a "junk" account to use for free trials etc, if you do this, all that new junk mail you're gonna start getting is gonna go to YOUR EXISTING INBOX!!!!! And you can't just delete or stop using that new "junk" address, BECAUSE IT'S YOUR PRIMARY ACCOUNT!
Exactly@@BenDover4Mee! So can anyone tell me... What good does an extra period in your email address do if it's not an alias and your still going to receive email and potential spam in the same inbox as your main account? What am I missing here?
This is interesting but what good is it? When I sent an email from one of my current addresses to my regular address with the plus name added and then I hit reply back to my secondary email address it came back as my regular email and name. I say again, what is the point?
I am running out of space in my first Gmail account if I create a second account what would be the availability of space in the second email address ? Thank you for any advise 😊
I don't know if this addresses my issue. Will it work for me IF I want multiple email address "sub" accounts or "alias" accounts or whatever without having to create another google account SO i can separate all my work emails and my utility bill emails, etc into different FOLDERS on my iPhone mail (like i have done for years with my old spectrum email, but i get so much spam i am leaving spectrum)??? ALSO... I don't want all of the responders to my various email accounts to go into my main email folder.
Hi Tasia, Great tutorial thanks, I want to use this technique for our Rodeo Committee, here in Stanthorpe, Queensland, at the moment we have one email and domain name for the secretary, treasurer, president and promotions who are all using the same inbox, such a mess, so hard to find emails. Can I direct each new email address to their own inbox? Cheers Duncan
Please help me understand... Whats the reason for creating multiple addresses if they all come to the same inbox? Why or when would you need this feature?
You can use each one to registering in different sites, then, when you start receiving emails to a specific address that have nothing to do with the original site, you will know how sold out the user database.
I asked the exact same question and got no response. I just do not see the benefit. It would seem if you are trying to separate or sort who you send to and who responds, using a unique "subject" line would be much easier to figure out thn looking at my own multiple email addresses.
If you already have an email address added with a domain name, are you able to change the name that appears with that added domain name once it's created? or does it have to be re-added with the name wished to use with that email?

I created another email address in my Google account as you explained in your video and now my old email address is used as a recovery email. I lost all my contacts that were linked to my old account as well as my tasks and appointments in my google calendar. Now, can you make a video explaining how to reverse this?
Very niceeeee! I do have a question, can we make labels from the email? for example streaming networks will specifically go to the stream folder/label, social media and so on and so forth?

I just implemented the technique and it worked like a charm. You lifted years of frustration off my shoulders. Thank you
Fantastic! So glad to hear it!

this is what real tech tubers should do to help common people, I love you sis.
So glad you found the video helpful! ❤️

Thank you Tasia! The information you provided was extremely helpful!
Hi, pardon my ignorance. What is the use of creating such mails? Any specific use?

Why would one create multiple emails??? Any ideas?

Most people simply click 'Reply', and this will use the modified email address, so that you can search or add labels to help organise your inbox.
Instructions unclear, I activated my domain expansion and fought a cursed spirit.
What about replying? How do you set it up to reply from the "new" endless address?

Wow! It's interesting and playful 💕💕
The DOT method does not seem to work. Got a mailer-daemon return after my test ... 😞. The PLUS method worked just fine ... no problems there!
Me too
This is really helpful. Can you advise how to organise my inbox if i do this. I would like group emails according to a particular email address.
Do you get new batch of storage (15GB) for each address? or are you limited to the 15GB
I appreciate the clear simple instructions!
If I use this technique, do I have to remember every self generated email for all the logins I created? Thank you!
Very useful and well presented. I just subscribed and am looking forward to other tips.

Well, Tasia, it does indeed work, but can you also organize all those sub-addresses separately in your Gmail?
I've used it ..the plus technique, and it has been extremely helpful... thanks a lot, you're awesome 💯
What about the G drive storage. Whether it increases or remains the same?
WOW!! I learned something new!! Love it!!
Will this allow me to use the login with Google account button on logins I use on the regular?

Such precious content Tasia!! This Gmail hidden feature is just amazing. Tks for sharing
You’re so welcome. Glad you liked it!
Thinking about the “plus” method what’s the point when you expose your real email address?
Can we make a separate inbox for the new email address created?
Love this great ideas 😄💡😊
Tasia , where did you learn about all this information, well explain
could we use the + method for multiple Facebook accounts
