Hi RSC Electrical, thank you for your post but when testing a heating element for a resistance reading it is not essential to remove the wires when you put the probes at the top of the element as Mat showed in the video and the element was open circuit and needed to be replaced.
@@eSpares : It doesn't matter where you put your meter probes, whether at the terminal or on the connector. If the connector is making contact with the element terminal then you could get incorrect readings. As your supposed to be informing the public then it would be a good idea to provide accurate information. But hey, what do I know ? I've only been in the trade 45 years.
For accuracy, you should have removed at least one of the element wires before testing.
