@@DortioPhoenix True, but some people are just blinded by nostalgia. MW 2005 had intensity and also had the best police chases until Rivals was revealed. Rivals received hate during it's launch. As the years go by people are starting to love Rivals even more they hated it, it made no fucking sense. Rivals' cops are really deadly, I get the point why MW 2005 had terrifying cops because of the police AI which they really adore. When Rivals came out, the cops are really brutal as hell especially the fact that it's an open-world version of Hot Pursuit 2010 and with the addition of ESF, Shockwave, and Shock Ram, they're more powerful than Seacrest County's cops, making them the most ruthless cops in a NFS game.

The health bar system, meaning that people can't just ram straight into roadblocks with basically 0 repercussions. And more understandably, the high sensitivity of how much damage you take. (HP2010 also had a health bar system, but Rivals cranked the sensitivity up to 11) 2. The weapons. Mainly because they were unrealistic. (By the way, in HP2, the cops dropped literal explosives on you) 3. Bugs. Lots of bugs. Especially on launch day on PC, which is still kind of a buggy mess today. I personally love Rivals, but I can see why someone that comes from the BB games wouldn't like Rivals.

Great video and fantastic editing. When i was younger i played mostly Underground 2 and a little bit of Most Wanted 2005 but never finished them. Also played Gran Turismo 2 on the PS1 but never finished it, since i just played time trial mode where you could race a car for how long you wanted to. Don't think i ever played singleplayer in that game (GT 2). Did finish a few racing games like Blur,Most Wanted 2012 was so much fun. Will probably finish Most Wanted 2005 one day but the cops is something that keeps off Most Wanted 2005. In Most Wanted 2012 i made the game harder myself by choosing terrible cars as a challenge and it was kinda fun,like i remember barely beating one of the rivals in NFS MW 2012 with a Ford Raptor. Like i think the first racing game i finished was NFS Carbon and i loved it a lot but it did get hard towards the end. WRC 4 i never finished but that game introduced to the world of rally racing and i love WRC 4. I do play Asphalt 9 on Steam every day a little bit. Don't remember much about Apshalt 8 though. I did play it but it was long time ago. I remember playing Real Racing 3 on my phone and i had fun with that game but it is a shame it has no Steam port. My playtime when it comes to racing games is not that big but i still like to play them from time to time - HyPo Jeanuary

I love this video. From myself I can remember: Bang Bang Racing, Ford Racing 3, Ford Street Racing (one of my first games), Race Cars The Extreme Rally, NFS High Stakes, Crash Time 5: Undercover, Supercar Street Challenge, Raging Thunder 1-2, Race - The WTCC Game, F1 2014, rFactor, Moorhuhn Kart.
Forza motorsport 4. The nostalgia from that game. Need for speed carbon too. Oh and how could I forget PGR4 And MW2012 was pretty damn good too! And TDU2 was fantastic. THE CREW! Burnout paradise I forgot how many great racing games there was.
Oldest here is probably the F50 from NFS II. At the time, i found it really impressive, coming from the first 3 Test Drives (3rd one sort of really pioneered the open world racing somewhat), Grand Prix Circuit, and 4dsports Stunts.
racing games may have been neglected by modern AAA gaming companies in favor of generic first person shooters that's offered either godawful single player campaign (MW3 Reboot) or just not even came up with one at all (BF2042), but it's spirit will lives on, and it's our duty to preserve the genre for the future
Wish you added stuff like Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune and Initial D Arcade Stage though... that stuff raised a lot of asian kids and future gearheads...
