Don’t get me wrong the dude is fearless on track and very very quick but he’s not good enough or consistent enough to justify his antics
@@HallucinatingHedgehogs Oh, absolutely, after a stunt like this, he should never be allowed in _any_ sort of racing sport - not even bicycle racing. Not just for his own obvious issues, but to serve as a warning example to everyone else, that road rage will *not* be tolerated.
FIA needs to nick this kind of behaviour in the bud, lest we end up with someone performing a "revenge crash" maneuver and ends up killing someone.

He literally threw away his chance by badmouthing Latifi unnecessarily. Safe to say, Ticktum would have replaced Latifi in place of Logan Sargeant.
He could have also easily taken Danil Kvyat's place at Alpha Tauri if it wasn't for him completly fumbling his carrer and not win anything after he was eyed up for that seat.
as far as I'm aware Ticktum was already let go of by Williams before that stream happened and insulting Latifi was his coping mechanism

Every time you start to wonder if Ticktum has grown as a person and deserves another chance, he does something that reminds you why he's disliked.
I feel like full sending it into a corner with no brakes and striking specifically your main competitor probably should have ended his racing career right there.

Nice to see a channel covering Formula E. I personally really like FE but there aren't many channels that cover it. As for Ticktum. It's really dissapointing to see because he has so much talent. He has the talent but he's his own worst enemy.

He drives like a main character, for all the wrong reasons. Yes, he has the speed, and I also support how he has come out in the past to accept that he has made many mistakes and single-handedly ruined his chances at an f1 seat. My biggest issue with him, though, is that he never changes. Knowing why you keep getting penalised and not changing your ways is absolutely unforgivable.
We're left only to wonder...
There's nothing to defend, he's a danger for everyone and will never change, just look at what he is capable of in 2023... He's a freaking Kamikaze.

Franck Montagny took cocaine before the races and put Nick Heidfeld into the barriers. Guess that's pretty controversial!
But I forgot to mention, he did actually finish 3rd in the first ever race (likely under the influence too)!

The FIA should revoke his liscences, I dont care if you're a potential future world champion. If you race dirty and go beyond acceptable measures off the track aswell then you should not have a seat in any league. All of these races are broadcasted and it sets a bad example of what is acceptable conduct. Sure there are times where every driver will reach a point where they snap and say things they shouldn't but he is very unprofessional about it too
Something should always be done to combat poor sportsmanship. Gladly, more drivers are speaking their minds after races...which is always entertaining.

@Timmy Nicolas no actually, for driving dangerously. There's a big difference between being aggressive and dangerous in racing. The sport is already dangerous enough, don't need someone making it more so.

depends how bad they are i guess, 2 really bad ones and it should be a permanent ban and maybe 4-5 medium-serious ones.

Dude I hate Ticktum lol. I watched that 2021 baku race and he was actually really quick, just made stupid mistakes and then complained about it over the team radio for the rest of the race. Praying on his downfall 😂
he let's his feelings get the better of him, Verstappen and Alonso are drivers that are known for emotional outburst but Dan Ticktum acts violently/recklessly whenever he has an emotional outburst, he shouldn't be driving as long as he does that

Hey man- this video made me watch this race... I've never ever before watched formula e, while I am fan of F1 (the V10 era especially), I'd seem to like this, although weird at first because of the engine sound :D but I enjoyed.... however- I don't know any rule nor anything about the FE , is it possible maybe to make some "Welcome to Formula E" video- I believe it would also speed up the channel growth :)

make it into F1? He doesn't have the talent. He got destroyed by drivers like Mick, Yuki, Zhou, Schwartzman in F2 and even his second season Piastri won it as a rookie and Pouchaire was extremely close in his rookie season.

It's like he's been asking to not have a driving career his entire driving career.
The blatant weaponisation of his car in the 2015 F4 race was so egregious it warranted a life ban. Some have excused it as the foolishness of youth (including the editor of Autosport), but his subsequent actions have demonstrated he is a nasty high-functioning psychopath.
Can you imagine IF he did injure him? He's be jailed.

@@timdehaan5656 But his "Do or Die" mentality makes him crash so often that a team would think twice before signing him ( on financial grounds certainly).
But his do or die mentality is also the reason he gets results. Any team would prefer a driver like ticktum who crashes often by being on the limit and occasionally gets good results than a driver like Giovinazzi who doens't get involved in incidents but doens't get any results either by not being agressive enough
I know Ticktum isn’t great when his attitude gets in the way of his driving and have heard he’s done some questionable things, but I didn’t think he made so many incidents occur in 2018 and 2021. However comparing Ticktum to Mazepin, I think we can all agree that Mazepin is alot worse

Man, I try to support Ticktum, because I feel people never let his 2015 incident go and don’t give him credit or room to grow/improve. But then he always does things like this and you just can’t side with him, he needs to shut up and keep low for a few years and just focus on CLEAN racing…

Hard to give someone room to grow and improve when their attitude and antics proves they clearly cant or wont since the incident in question. Id be willing to let 2015 go if he didn't consistently prove to everyone he has barely matured at all. His Deliberate F4 crash should have been a life ban not just 2 years. How he keeps getting a seat I do not know.
He admitted to purposely trying to make contact during the race but not DSQ.
I had the displeasure of dealing with him in a pitlane a few years ago. By far the most arrogant driver of the lot of them.
Someone who drives across the grass at full speed, during a caution flag, does NOT belong on any race track. A car can also be a weapon. People get hurt and killed doing foolish stunts like that. Not to mention the amount of money it costs to replace or repair cars! I wouldn't let him race on our local Karting Track! I wouldn't be surprised to find out that he hurt someone when he was in Karting! You always have to maintain your temper, no matter what someone did to you!
How Dick Tantrum keeps getting a seat in any racing series boggles the mind. Sponsors must hate him.
All I can say is that when Dan Ticktum threatens to quit racing if he's given a penalty over an incident, you search high and low for any reason you can to give him that penalty!
Ticktum very much a heart on his sleeve kind of guy. I think he has grown since the inexcusable 2015 incident and obviously some of the things hes said have been idiotic/not thought out at all.
Any time he is in an incident everyone is very quick to look at his past and think he is unfairly judged based on his history. Ultimately the Monaco racing incident was deemed as exactly that, yet still has critics suggesting "he will never change" after the FIA deemed he did nothing wrong

@@FormulaEverything I don't think it's as simple as that. We are probably looking at someone with mental health battles. After incidents he often regrets things, he says things as he calls them - whether he believes he is at fault, or others. Many times over the radio hes been frustrated with himself Just feels so easy to jump on the Ticktum hate train when if other drivers have the same actions they are given free reign.
There's a reason why everyone calls this guy "Dick Tantrum!"

So, like... I'm not a Ticktum fan, I was against his joining FormE, but he had a year of doing not a lot and then this year I felt he had matured and grown a lot as a driver (I haven't been watching him in particular, just talking in the general sense). He has a part to play in those collisions, I agree, but I am also of the opinion that FE is a more physical sport where contact isn't out of the question - it's not encouraged per se, but you're not going to get penalised for being within five miles of your opponent's car as you can be in F1 - so that aspect doesn't bother me as such. Every FE driver gets their elbows out and gets involved in crashes and physical bouts on track so I hesitate to single him out unless he does something obviously wrong.
I don't think he will ever leave his past behind, though. He was lucky he didn't kill someone with his antics.
Love the FE coverage, i hope the series gains more traction, the racing is absolutely fantastic

Everyone trying to be 5th the whole race till the last 5 laps hurts my soul.
Soooometimes he just needs to take 5 seconds to think before saying something. I get it's adrenaline, frustration, heat of the moment sort of stuff, but so much of the shit that has tarnished his career is 'think it but don't say it' crap.
The twat was also done for speeding in the M6 toll road (114mph) abd trying to avoid it by not declaring who was driving. Should have been banned from driving. The 2015 incident should have had him banned for life for his attempt at GBH (or murder) with a blunt weapon (i.e. a race car). He has shown no signs of maturing or improving his attitude and someone will get seriously hurt before he is finally removed from racing

He's pretty good though, like a lot of British single seater drivers. Not F1 championship good, but if he cuts some of the incidents he could definitely put in a championship challenge in Formula E. Don't let him on an Indy oval though, that would be catastrophic.

I think Fenestraz hit Dennis and Ticktum in turn hit Fenestraz. While I expected Ticktum to crash into someone, it was one of the leaders, not Gunther.

This incident is NOT in anyway similar to his past antics. This entire season he was just a slow car fighting in the front (cause he's a very good qualifier, excellent in one lap pace) and it's just inevitable for him to make contact with faster cars. It's just hard racing and personally I don't mind it.
I don't believe, not in the slightest, that any of his crashes this season were sinister or malicious in nature. He apologized for any crashes that he caused. I'm still not sold on the Vandoorne crash in Berlin. That looked more like a racing incident. He just didn't see Stoffel on his left. Jack (Lead commentator) even said it on air live. That's what he saw and that's what I saw.
In any case; No, I don't think Dan is a problem, and I wanna see him win in FE or at least get a podium. He DOES deserve it, imo.

Not sure how familiar you are with Formula 1 and it's supporting formulae but neither Red Bull nor Williams have teams in Formula 2 or Formula 3 as you say in the. Ticktum was part of Red Bull Racing's junior academy, but was racing for Motopark in Formula 3 in 2018. In 2021 he was part of Williams' F1 team as a test and reserve driver as part of the Williams Driver Academy, but he was racing in Formula 2 for Carlin.

Wow. That incident overtaking 10 cars behind the safety car and crashing in to his rival deliberately. How can this guy be back at racing? That kind of lunatics should be banned for life. For the safety of the others. I mean, we get a safety car when an F1 car is almost completely behind the barrier. The marshals didn't even realize the safety car was for them. i do love ticky, and that was for sure a racing incident in my opinion.
people often say they want drama and drivers that don't act like robots. then they get angry but not in a "we love to hate him" kind of way, but actual anger, when you get people that wear their hearts on their sleeves like ol ticky or even max verstappen when he was younger (and in baku).
ticktum is, like him or not, interesting to watch and wild to root for as an antihero or dramatic to root against as a villain. we love to see it

I mean if there was ever a person to unhook the brakes from the car for, this is him. Put him in the car during a session that's supposedly for launch practice and top speed check, with a nice thick barrier and netting to flip into and send him off without the brakes able to function. Oops, mechanical failure, headaches averted.
