Raghunathan is a driver who feels like a fever dream. What do I mean? There’s no interviews with the guy, no radio messages, no social media presence, only like 3 pictures of him exist, he didn’t ever race with a helmet design in F2, he’s driven multiple F1 cars in tests but basically no details exist of these. Like, how did nobody see him in any paddocks? How did the official F2 TH-cam channel not get a hold of him for their videos? How can he be so overwhelmingly famous, possibly the most well known F2 driver of that year, and yet so completely anonymous? Is he real? Did he just… appear behind the wheel of an F2 car?

like this video, didnt even realize it was from a smaller channel at first. just get a pop filter or hell, just put a sock over your mic and you'll be golden.
I had an interview with Alessio Deledda once. Only scored 17 points in his entire career up to F2, and had a mysterious income to motorsport, take of that what you will
I’m glad I took a chance on this channel. You know how it is very hit or miss but I agree with everyone else, pop filter for mic and you’re going places. Nicely done.
its funny how after leaving F2 Alessio Deledda only scored 1 point afterwards in the DTM championship and that only happened because A: 3/4s of the field died and B: the guy in 10th place out of the remaining 11 runners got a penalty.
It wasn't Petecof's fault. The FDA said it was either him or Arthur Leclerc that would get the backed F3 seat. Petecof won, but Ferrari went back on their word and gave it to Leclerc. The Campos F2 seat was cheaper than any F3 seats available
Brother I must say your style of making videos is simple yet very entertaining. I love it so much. Watched this whole thing without even wanting to, you have a way with words. Just please please get a good microphone, it's really worth it and it doesn't have to be super expensive :D I got one recently for 70 Dollars Canadian (40GBP), and it's a massive upgrade. Apart from that, you have all you need bro. Subbed
Oh my goddess levels. Great content, though. Glad F2 is getting deep dives like this. Just needs timestamps and watch those levels so our ears don't get blown out.
Only criticism is that you need a better mic or a better setup for your mic (which includes a pop filter). Your narration style is great, and I didn't realize until a few minutes in that this is a very small or new channel with a few hundred views. Editing is also great. I literally cheered when Mahaveer Ragunathan makes his appearance--because you can't make a "the worst" list without him in it. That being said, "the worst" being listed that is, most of these guys would actually be decent drivers when compared to those of us who don't race, professionally or otherwise. When it comes to the best driver in this particular list, Santino Ferucci seems to be one of the worst mainly because of his antics and disregard of some rules rather than driving standards; we do see him finish in decent places in his Indycar career. Some of these guys are "bad" with the virtue of starting late, so they can technically be forgiven for not having the prerequisite experience (though some do make it to the top level like Takuma Sato; before the age of 20, all of his racing experience was on bicycles), a lot like the difference between starting in other sports from childhood vs starting later. Meanwhile, many others would just benefit from staying at the lower categories for much longer. On the other hand, the rest just shouldn't race professionally at all, let alone at the second tier of the world's premier motorsport. It's good to also compare between the ladder system to Formula One vs the ladder system in Indycar. One thing about Indycar is, while it does still require cash to even start USF Juniors (and before 2022, the USF2000), which is the lowest tier in the Road to Indy ladder, drivers would get promoted more based meritocracy since there are scholarships awarded to those who finish in decent positions in each tier of championship to fund their entry up to the next level all the way to Indycar. This means that the top three of the Indy NXT (used to be called Indy Lights through 2022) are guaranteed a drive in the IndyCar series eventually, even if it means a one off race in a part time team. Meanwhile, in Indycar itself, many drivers do come from Europe after not really making it in European categories--and not really making it in Indycar either. One of the notable names that come to mind is Stefano Coletti, while his results even in GP2 were okay, his Indycar drive was lackluster, even when he managed to reach 19th the championship--which is the bottom for full time drivers and one place behind Ryan Briscoe--who only competed 8 out of the 16 rounds that season. Some people see Indycar as a place for F1 rejects but it is certainly more than that.
Great video mate! Also one with actual good rankings! I pretty much fully agree, although I probably would change a couple. I probably wouldn't put Galeal, because although he wasn't particularly great nor consistent, he did achieve a couple of podiums, and some other points finishes, which is no mean feat in F2. I'd also probably leave out Ferrucci. I would replace them with Calan Williams, who competed in 2022 and got 1 points finish, and pretty terrible other results, finishing behind both Caldwell and Sato. There was also a guy in 2017 called Robert Visolu, who again got a single tenth place, and nothing else. But great vid either way, earnt yourself another subscriber 👍👍.
