I love using my slow cooker, and use it year-round. I like it because you can take cheap, tough cuts of meat and cook them slow...making them tender and delicious.

It was really good. I always had a problem when I tried to cook meat with potatoes in the crockpot the entire cook time too, the potatoes just got very mushy. I think the trick was not cooking this one all day long. Because most of mine I like to be able to leave for up to 8 hours. And the potatoes just can't stand up to it. These were flavorful and done just perfectly 🥰

Mel we could really use some prayers. We lost my little brother to cancer at 4:48 PM last night to cancer. I also have scans on Thursday to see if mine has responded to the chemo. It’s hard right now keeping my faith when my brother was only 31. I have to beat this monster for both of us and I am so lost and broken right now.

How smart you are to mix the butter and cake mix together rather than place pats of butter on the dry mix! I never liked the dry part of the cake mix. Thanks for this brilliant idea!

I do crockpot cakes all the time. Place a layer of paper towels under the lid, it prevents the moisture from dripping on to the cake .

Here's a tip for shredding chicken fan, use a hand mixer. Shreds it in seconds on low.
