      Great video. Thank you so much. God bless you and your family for spreading hope, and turning up the light switch. There’s so much confusion and desperation when people face challenges like thyroid and autoimmune issues. You are the sound of relief after a désastre. May God watch over you😅❤

      I am just coming out of graves, been on carbimazole, no problems, feeling well and happy the drugs are not 'harmful' I've had no problems with them. I would stay on them for ten years if I needed to. I live a normal life now and exercise and have a great heart function low resting pulse rate - good BP etc. the drug treatment protects you. Don't go 'natural' as all thyroid diseases cause heart disease and kidney problems if not treated. In Australia we don't take thyroids out, we stay on the drugs for years if needed, the new studies now say even if you need to stay on them for ten years so be it. you don't 'fix' Graves by removing the thyroid you just create no thyroid and then you still need thyroxin.

    Hi, you are amazing! I wish I could get an appointment with you. Do you know anyone you feel to recommend who works in Italy with a similar approach? I'm truly struggling with Graves' disease and eye disease since 3 years now. Thanks a lot for your hard work

      Really appreciate your response! I will keep my ears open for doctors in Italy who can help. My biggest recommendation is to find a naturopathic or integrative doctor that is open to learning and let them know what you want done based on what I shared in this video.

    I was previously undetectable TSH, started methimazole 6 mos ago. I was also diagnosed in this way. Now 6 months later, my TSH is at 57.4! I don’t know what to do now lol

      I'm so sorry to hear you are going through this. There a couple of possible reasons this could be happening, but we'd need to know more about your labs and your symptoms, etc. Would possibly need to run a couple of other tests depending on what your last doctor looked at. Please reach out to us at integrativemedica.com . Dr Jake does see patients remotely.

    Hi Dr. Jake. What is the name of the treatment you did to help raise cortisol in the morning/afternoon for this patient? Terri Bleu?

    Hi Dr Jake. So much great information in this video. Can you please tell me the name of what you prescribed for night time cortisol lowering? It sounds like you are saying calmcipede, but that's not right. I have Graves and produce too much cortisol at night and need something to help me sleep more. Thank you!

      I really am thinking of having my thyroid removed or. With radioactive iodine. I just was diagnosed with Graves.disease and both medicine give me bad side-effects. One keeps me awake and the.other caused my eyes to swell.I.had to go to the ER and they gave me prednisone. The incompetent PA at the Endocrinologist told me to take.Benedryly
      What a joke.She saw my eyes swolen almost completely shut.I am seeing a new Endocrinologist this week with many years of practice.I am 75 yrs old and am really scared since the PA at the first Endocrinologist really didn't help me and made my symptoms worse.I am so grateful I.found you on UTube.I feel better that I have heard from you that I can be taken care of or have the Thyroid removed

    Great job with your patient 👍
    I had Graves for 16 years, last year went on Keto due to developing diabetes and now all my thyroid blood tests are showing I might have auto-immune Hashimotos due to a very slightly low free T3 and very high antibodies. But all other thyroid tests are within range and not indicating Graves anymore...I asked my endocrinologist if he thought Keto had something to do with this and he said no, that going from Graves to Hashimotos is the norm when you've had Graves for many years because the thyroid "tires out"...
    In your opinion, do you think this accurate? Is going from Graves to Hashimotos the "norm"? Thanks in advance 🙏

    • @rootcausewithdrjake
      @rootcausewithdrjake  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I have seen people have both graves and hashimotos. Graves doesn’t go away but the symptoms of hashimotos can become dominant. Instead of having too much thyroid you start making too little. It is an interesting phenomenon that I see. Sometimes the TSI, the marker for graves sometimes goes down. If this happens likley the graves is under control but the Hashimotos isn’t. Hope this helps. :)
