Some more notes: - You also get manuscripts (and special crafting materials) for doing each of the open world regional boss fights on Hard. - MP Absorption, when fully leveled up and linked to magic, will almost always give you more MP than you use. - If you link multiple copies of the same magic materia on the same character, the associated spell will get multiple buffs. EXAMPLE: Aerith has three Fire Materia equipped. One is linked to HP Absorb, one to MP Absorb, and one to Magnify. When Aerith casts fire, it will hit multiple enemies, and every hit will heal her and refund her MP. You can make very powerful self-sustaining engines of destruction with this method, provided you have enough materia. - Magnify Quaga is an extremely effective way to chew through mobs, as the area of effect on each instance is so huge that they often overlap, meaning enemies will be hit multiple times by a single cast if they are anywhere near each other. Quaga is very expensive, but pairing multiple copies with MP Absorb and Magic Efficiency will usually refund more than you spend. - The "Fire and Ice" and "Lightning and Wind" materia are invaluable when paired with Elemental. When put on a weapon, it will switch its elemental damage type to whatever hurts the enemy the most. When put on armor, it will protect you from both listed elements. - Subversion materia is extremely valuable late game. You will start running into enemies and bosses that have protective buffs _constantly,_ and Dispel gets rid of them all. Yes, even Reflect. Just tossing in my two cents. Excellent vid, bro
Required. Hp up. Mp up. Steadfast block. Precision block. Heal. Raise. Pray/chakra. Always have those and then move the magnify and elemental for whoever ur playing
Funny enough, I went and leveled 7 copies of Chakra and Pray only to never use them until the end for Jenova Lifeclinger. Most of my healing was done through HP/MP/Magic Focus absorbing from -Ga spells.
Cloud's Slipstream Sabre and Barret's Barrage Blaster have selectable perks called 'Trade Off' on them. It recovers MP upon receiving significant damage, which from my observations is 500 or above. I've never run out of MP, so consider using those two as your magic buffers
Pro tip before starting hard mode chapter select to chapter 10 in hard mode take the plane back to the previous map kill Marlboro then chapter 2 kill the quetsiquotal thing I forget its name to make the genji gloves then start your hard mode play trough
Most chests in dungeons (but not open world areas) respawn with their original items via chapter select, used this to farm 2 extra Hades armlets from Shinra Manor. Only exceptions are Cetran gear from chapter 13.
I prefer using elemental materia on armor over weapons whenever possible. For example fire and elemental on armor makes you invincible against something like a bomb or pheonix. Really good to use a fire and ice elemental on someone for something like kujata, or the custom valkery. I also love magnify and haste combo.
in hard mode, can you still cast stop on a staggered enemy and stop the stagger bar? if you can, thatll really help alot. as soon as an enemy gets staggered, have whoever cast stop on the enemy then start spamming tifas attacks that build stagger %....its an easy way to get stagger up to 300% and grab the trophy too
Hp up, mp up, magic up, the new materia that makes materia more potent and the other that makes them cost less. Synergy materia and blizArd or watever the enemy is weak to. Strength up could be good for tifa or even cloud. Def gonna want haste, manawall, and bravery and faith can be good. No need to say it but enemy skill and hp absorb. Comet/quake with swift cast, mp absorb/the mp lowering materia, or even the potency one. Just make sure you take the time to master anything that could potentially be useful. I tried to rush hard mode in remake and ended up just fighting the same challenges over and over till the materia got mastered anyway.
Does this means I have to create a new file and start from scratch on hard mode, or can I go back through chapter selection and beat the chapters through hard mode?
It depends on how much time you want to sink in? I personally didnt mind redoing them on Hard as you can breeze through 75% of the story content so it goes by faster than you'd think
Enjoy as much of the 1st play through as you can. Then max out your level to 70. Alternate between leveling up your materia and cleaning up minigames so that you can max out your item crafting. Maybe alternate between chadley sims and hard mode chapters as you see fit. If at every any point you’re frustrated, find something else to do and come back later.
It was worth getting. The enhanced accessory + limit siphon the Gotterdamarung holder is definitely a great way to just delete normal battle encounters with Satillite Beam lol everytime.
The most important tip; don't play hard mode. There's nothing of worth to gain from doing so, and you'll just beat your head against a wall until you accomplish nothing.

If i have 1 star fire linked to mp absorb and 3 star fire linked to magnify, will i still get the mp back if i use firaga?
@@NevermoreFE no, they both need to be maxed

Trade Off is definitely a must for either Cloud or Barret or both.
tbh u don’t really need any of these. it’s just nice to have.

I prefer stagger recovery, it recovers hp and mp upon a stagger. Only issue is that barrett needs lvl 10 weapon to get it, lol.
@@Cman04092 you can equip Stagger Recovery and Trade Off with SlipStream. Howbowdat

Just do them all in chapter 12

Hello man, been a fan since dmc. I'm still waiting for your combo mad videos of all character from this FF game.
HP/MP absorption materia made hard mode really easy -, for me at least
Sucks that cloud doesn’t have the guard synergy skill
Oh so hard mode redo the quests I didn’t know that about to tackle hard mode
So should i run through the first playthrough without completing 100% and then go for hard mode 2nd run 100% to get all trophys?

Devil May Cry Inc thanks you
I'm so bad at timing my guard.....
Here’s a tip, make sure to get the gotterdammerung lol
Those Brutal/Legendary VR missions are one hell of a challenge 👀👀
@@xDevilNeverCryonly need to do the brutal ones for that accessory, i’m stuck with the 10 rounds duo fights with you know who though

Lol sounds like a "you" problem. I enjoyed the challenge. Gi Nattak had me cursing the game for a bit, though.
