I just bought the 1960 rose gold Automatic model whilst in Venice. It's gorgeous, very similar to that quartz model except of course it has a second hand, date window and automatic mechanism. There's no real distribution in the USA for Vostok.

I saw a seiko on Amazon with 300m resistance and a pop off case back. How do they achieve that?

There is no caseback on that watch. It's a monocoque.
