Parents in India still do not understand. It was never easy to settle in Canada. We can immigrants have to work very hard. It takes time to settle but these new comers wants to become rich overnight. We came to Canada 48+ years ago, age 16 until now still working.

Depression and face to diff type problems in young age for some youngsters is the main cause . No friend and family support for them they find themself in hardship
It is stupid music and culture pushing these things.
Parents are making efforts paying for their tuition but beyond that students have to live on rent and need food and other necessities of life. If they don’t have a job this will happen. Most parents cannot cover the entire cost on a yearly basis
They should consider all that before they send their kids abroad.
Canada is full. Especially Ontario Brampton, Toronto, Scarborough. Situation is very grim for new comers. Even PR people like us are struggling to meet daily needs.

Brampton, Ontario=No jobs , hard to get PR, very expensive car insurance, expensive grocery, very expensive rent, too much competition.
Alberta=East to get PR, better opportunities in job, less expensive overall than in every aspect.

What kind of help you expecting from them? If was never easy for them when they first moved here, they all have worked very hard to reach where they are today and some still struggling. It is much easier to find jobs now than back then.

You know my tax deductions are equal to a person's pay cheque who does a min.wage job, you think its not a help to country and society ? and there are millions like me paying this tax which govt.spend on this country !! the country YOU LOVE TO SEE, TO LIVE OR TO VISIT!!!

well they should not show FAKE BANK BALANCES before coming to Canada. They told government that they can afford things here by showing FAKE BANK ACCOUNTS. These students are main reason for wages not going up. They work back breaking hard jobs for less than minimum wage. Employers here expect same type of slavery from PR/Citizens like us.

Amount of work we have to do here in Canada, if we even do the half in India and are willing to do the kind of jobs we are ready to do here, conditions in India can improve. We love to blame the governments, nobody will spoon feed you, relatives can help you temporarily, but not forever. I choose Canada, very beautiful country to live but you have to work hard to make your life better. Drugs or suicide are not the solution.
