Beast, but Josh Harts numbrr in these playoffs at 6-4 were at least as mind blowing. Its insane how he does it, being he isnt 100% focused on def and rebs like rodman was. Especially with all the knicks injuries, they need Hart to do more than just defend and rebound.
2 games in that finals series with 11 offensive boards giving him equal first in the record books for finals with 2 of the 3 times it had happened. Wes Unseld was the other with 11 too. Don't know if it's been beaten since.

This was the funniest "All The Smoke" I have ever seen. I am so grateful TH-cam gives this type of platform for the real stories to come out. Nothing water down. This story has been in the vault since 1996. This is something you hear when you are friends with super stars like yourselves. Shawn Kemp was an incredible player to watch growing up. The hate on Jordan all these years later are getting old. They were ALL afraid of Jordan! Now? Oh he wasn't all that. Crazy!
Dennis doesn’t get enough respect for just how mentally draining he was towards players. You cannot plan for a player like him. Without him there would have been no three peat. Out of Chicago’s 6 championships the 2nd 3 peat was 5 times better than the 1st because of Rodman. Please look at the total picture of Rodman’s effect on all the games he played with Chicago during those 3 years. His hustle, mental strength, rebounding and defensive was unmatched for every team they faced. You knew what to expect from Jordan and the others but Rodman was a different beast.
He actually does get that respect. You're just trying to sound like you're the only one who has ever said that. 😂
It’s a team sport. Everybody has a role. If you take Rodman and replace him with another player for his position, do you think the Bulls couldn’t win?
If you take MJ and replace him with another shooting guard, do you think they could’ve won?

Facts!
Swap Jordan and Payton and the Sonics win.
Detlef on Mj…George Karl doing George karl 💩
Facts. That should’ve been Nate McMillan, David Wingate, Vincent Askew, and Hersey Hawkins assignment.
I guess most fans could almost see why coach George Kark wanted to put Detlef Schrempf on MJ with a 4-inch height advantage at 6' 10." All that did was place Detlef on an uncomfortable island anytime the ball went to MJ. MJ was obviously licking his chops with that matchup.
😂😂😂 facts
This was Nate McMillan's assignment. Nate McMillan was suffering with a back injury during that season. He was able to hang on for another 2 years never playing more than 55 games before being forced to retire at 33. He played 6 min. in game 1, sat games 2 and 3 (all Bulls wins) at total of 40 min. in games 4 and 5 (Sonic wins) and sat game 6 (Bulls win). His injury is the reason Karl had Detlef on Jordan. Otherwise Gary would have to run the offense AND fight Mike.

The whole series he averaged 27 pts breaking 3 games down won’t help your case
MJ 1996 finals stats
27.3/5.3/4.2
But yeah, he didn’t beat the sonics at all.
Dumb fucks.
He said they had Jordan but he averaged like 28-30 😂😂😂😂
still thats a decent score + the other things he contribute to win the finals
ya at a time when nba teams scored like 90 ppg, w inflamation that like jordan scoring 40-50 ppg
When 41% shooting
These dudes are stupid as hell
The fact that you don’t get his point is what’s laughable. Hahaha my goodness. The basketball crowd can’t be this uneducated can they?
1:00 the way Stack said "really" lol he knew man was capping
Thanks for your reply Marc. A lot of people don't remember Nate Mcmillan the player. The Sixers are in desperate need of a player with the skillset that Nate had.

Huh? Hate??? I didn’t hear hate, what I heard kemp say was “I have made respect for MJ”….🤦♂️
If you are equating him stating they had a problem containing Rodman or “pip would’ve been a great baller without MJ” as ‘hate’ then that’s stupid.

He’s a bum and the show doesn’t need his input.
I was an LA fan, but I loved watching Kemp when either LA team played the Sonics. He was a monster on the court. Definitely one of my favorite players of all time.
Kemp was one of my favorite players back in the day. I loved those Sonics...so exciting to watch. Wish they would have stayed in Seattle :(
True story: 1995 I'm the cook at IHOP in Indianapolis. It's almost 1 AM. People coming to eat after leaving the club early. I see this big mofo ducking his head down to get in the door. Waitress walks him past the pass bar(where we put your order after it's done). I knew him right away. I didn't say his name, I just said aye, what's up bro, he bent down and gave me a fist bump. I told him I got you. He didn't even get to sit down good when this hatin ninja start woofin cause the women was all watchin Shawn. He got up and walked past me shakin his head, I shook mine too, he left. Ninjaz, boah! Shawn cool though. 6-10 in person looks like 7 foot to a 5-10 person. I think Pacers beat them by 1 the next day.💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
Dope story fam🤘🏼🤘🏼
To be fair Jordan had his worst finals against the defense of the Sonics 27ppg on 41% shooting is great defense on MJ, if Payton was on him all series who knows what would’ve happened. Crazy Shawn kemp came in 2nd in finals MVP voting he was unstoppable 💪🏾
Chicago was gonna win 96 regardless.
@@melvinhhcp3615 def Chicago was gonna win and the thing about putting Gary on Mike full time was Mike was gonna put him in foul trouble
Nothing would have happened. GP would have been a non factor offensively. Jordan would have adjusted.

For everybody that cannot understand the importance of Rodman:
He guarded Jordan (when he was with the Pistons), then he guarded Malone and Shaq (with the Bulls). He had impact on games when he had only a few points, but over 20 rebounds.
He couldn’t score? He didn’t need to. It’s the same reason why Jordan didn’t need to shoot threes.
Rodman averaged 25.7 points while at the Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He obviously could score.
5 times NBA champion, 7 times rebounding champion, 2 times Defensive Player of the Year, 7× NBA All-Defensive First Team
He was one of the best rebounders and one on one defenders in history.
Hilarious! 10 thumbs up.
Kemp was my favorite player growning up, And I love those '90s Sonics... But they were never beating that Bulls 96' team. However, if Payton was put on Jordan the whole series, it goes game to 7. Those '90s Sonics were the only Western conference team that could have taken the Bulls to a game 7 and George Karl screwed it up big time.
Payton off MJ: 0-3
Payton on MJ: 2-1
So Rodman beat them because he averaged 14.7 rebounds a game, wore color contacts and lipstick? Got it.
Lol he’s saying they couldnt stop him & he had their team flustered. Which is true, they held mj in check, they couldnt do that to rodman
@KangoDaCrook I'm pretty sure I heard him say MJ didn't beat us, Rodman did. And, you are correct; they could not stop him from wearing lipstick
@@timstark4731 which means rodman had the better series lol what are u arguing? Just go look it up
@KangoDaCrook I don't have to look it up. I watched it in real time and am very familiar with the series. Rodman was good in that series in a Rodman way. He wasn't the Finals MVP; that's ridiculous.
👆 how to tell the you never watched actual games without saying you never watched the full games
Shawn Kemp, I remember watching him as kid, EXPLOSIVE
In Game 6 at a pivotal point in the 3rd quarter with the Sonics pulling up to even the score Dennis hit two key baskets along with two free throws and just made some amazing game saving plays. He absolutely was responsible along with Toni for the Bulls winning that game.
Y'all Lost like everyone else who got in the way 😂😂😂That Bulls Run Was Epic
I know the real reason. Michael Jordan
LOL title hilarious
The truth about this series, the best player was Kemp, but he was defeated. I believe that in game 6 Jordan was emotionally shaken, thinking about his father
Believe it’s still the least efficient FMVP ever given out.
I’d Iggy can win one because of defence, Rodman should have for his defence on Kemp and his nonpareil offensive rebounding which gave Chicago so many more possessions, cancelling out the awful efficiency
Bro that's a weird take. MJ shot 42% but he avged 27/5/4. (Lead all scorers)
Rodman avg 8/15/3. And He didn't defend Kemp, he defended brikowski. Did he d him at times when luc wasn't in the flr? yeah, otherwise luc had him. And dude only avged 23 ppg.
MJ scored more points than any bull, Payton and Kemp in the last game, and since it's called basketball and not reboundball, MJ deserved the fmvp
Defense on Kemp? What finals did you watch? lol. Not only Kemp had the best series of his career, Rodman didn't really guard him much. You'd be giving him the FMVP solely because of his rebounding, which is idiotic.
@@davidschmidt1793 "You'd be giving him the FMVP solely because of his rebounding, which is idiotic"
No, they are LeBron stans. They are giving him FMVP because it makes Jordan look bad. That's it. They have absolutely no clue what Rodman did that series but they just parroting a narrative to prop up their boy....it's a sign of how utterly desperate they are.
The fact you cant give mike any credit tells me he best you
Yeah this is shameful
He telling it like how it is........with a side of salt 😂
He snatched everybody heart out in the 90s
Kemp is the reason I fell in love with the game and I grew up in Chicago in the 90's
It was the perfect assembly ..everything and everyone fitted perfeclty like cogs
Morons think Rodman was MVP. Smart people know if you put the stat lines up against each other MJ is the obvious MVP. (27.3ppg 5.3R 4.2A 41.5%fg VS 7.5ppg 14.7R 2.5A 48.6%fg) so Rodman averaged 9 more rebounds but MJ averaged 20 more points and 2 more assists and the fg% was within 7%..Jealous haters gonna hate. It's crazy how the only bad thing you can say about MJ is that he only averaged 27.3ppg in the 96' finals and won MVP...lol
“Ppl don’t give Pippen his props” is one of the dumbest things said when Jordan always said “You can’t mention Micheal Jordan w/o saying Scottie Pippen”🫤🤦🏽♂️
But people do mention Jordan without Pippen all the time...?
Even worse, they call Pippen a Robin To a Batman. That's demeaning.
And now, people wonder why he went on a resentful rage tour with his former teammates... people just liked him because of Jordan.
Usually people mention Jordan but they can't mention Pippen without Jordan.
Real talk from the rain man shawn kemp 💯
It’s cool to see Kemp, my favorite player when I was a kid.

What are the facts? Did you watch the video? Or did you just read the headlines and then come to the comment section to post a comment?
The facts are MJ lead all scorers with 27/5/4
Rodman had 8/15/3.
In gm 6 MJ lead his team in scoring (pls don't bring up his shooting %, a bunch of these misses were MJ getting hit at the basket and that's counted as a miss) and he outscored gp and Kemp for the chip.
It's basketball not REBOUNDball.
MJ rightly was awarded the fmvp.
@@Celothxu Jordan's numbers are far more a product of the triangle offense than him just being this dominant scoring force yal jordan fanatics want yourselves to believe he is, the rebounding is the feat that got the job done, that the fact, I will take Kemp's word over a Jordan fanatic.

Kemp on Jordan - He alter his game plan every night you couldn’t stop him !! Yeah you try to be physical with him that was your only bet or an off shooting night !! Dennis was the X-factor !! Thanks for making this video all the smoke keep reaching out to the legend of the legends we would love to hear for them
There was a sequence for about a minute in the 3rd Quarter of Game 6 when Rodman scores off an OREB, gets an And-1 in transition, baits Kemp to commit an offensive foul on him, then caps it off with an assist to MJ
The Sonics players still spinning from getting beat in that finals. "Jordan didn't beat us." Keep telling yourselves that sweetheart. Was Rodman great? Yes, but Jordan beat you. You threw everything at Jordan that you had and he still beat you. Sonic fans still hang on to the fact that they threw everything at him and it slowed him down a bit like that's somehow stopping him.
Ok take Mike out and see who wins
Take any of that big 3 out and the Bulls dont win. That's like saying take Jayson Tatum off the Celtics. It's a TEAM sport and Dennis had major contributions. An argument can be made for him.
