Hi brother, yes the battery also have a bios which also records the number of times the battery have been charged and lifespan. To clear those information there is a battery programmer that you can use to achieve that. You can Google how to flash the laptop battery formware and you will see the programmer and all the details you need. The purpose of flashing laptop bios without battery present is because when you attempt to flash laptop bios, the system requires the battery to be present so that in the flashing process if there is any power interruption, the laptop will not shuts down because of the battery availability so that this will not cause your laptop to go dead or power on with black screen. Bios flashing process have to conclude before the computer can start or turn on with a display. But this step in the video is just to tweak the bios flashing process so that it will flash without battery. Because under normal circumstance bios update will not let you flash without the presence of the battery due to power interruption problems. Hope you understand brother.
Bios have about 4 to 6 regions and each of them have their respective commands of instructions to your Pc. 1) Flash description region 2) Bios region 3) Management Engine (ME). 4) Trusted execution ENGINE (TXE) region 5) Gigabit Ethernet Region (GBE) 6) Platform Data region (PDR). Messing with any of these region will affect your computer response. It's better to let your bios update automatically unless there is a need to update it manually

And the bios has a non-updatable field "battery health " if I install a new battery and battery health is bad, I think it will write to the new battery that it is bad.
