  • Again, we continue our series of lessons covering the beginning of the church. As you explain this truth to others, they may ask you, “What about the church before the church, the Body of Christ?” You will find help giving your answer in this lesson, “The Church Before the Church.”

I listened to this twice. There is still much doctrine and teaching in this one hour it blesses me more than I can say. Thank you Lord and thank you Justin for being true to what the bible really says. Send this to every Christian you know.

Without rightly dividing scripture, the truth can conflicting for the reader. 1 Tim 2;15 commands to study and how to study, but no church or bible study class honors the scripture, or ignores or creates their own 'dividing' process.

@@claythomas7982 It's second Timothy. I'm not sure what you mean by, "but no church or bible study class honors the scripture, or ignores or creates their own 'dividing' process."?

This is such an important lesson. So clear. As others have said, I will need to watch this one again, and also the other 2 before it.

A much needed teaching, thank God for dispensational teachers and ministries that clear up these misunderstandings and show us through scripture who we ( body of Christ) are and who we are not.(little flock).

It's pretty darn obvious that when we say CHURCH, we mean the true body of Christ - the true and repented Believers. Pretty darn obvious indeed.

The foundation is the same with Paul and Peter - Jesus Christ - to whom He is preached, and what is preached is all different. That is if words mean anything. Peter never said nor would he: for by grace ye are saved through faith and not of ourselves, we are one body in Christ, we have all spiritual blessings now, the deeds of the law shall no flesh be justified, not by works of righteousness which we have done are we saved, circumcision is nothing, we are presently saved, there is neither Jew or Gentile, but Paul did say all of these. And the list goes no and on. If you can't see the differences after the foundation you are not reading the same as I am. Have a good weekend.

Our church is having a Birthday Celebration to celebrate the birthday of the church on 9th June as it's Pentecost. Looks like they are having a wasted birthday! I shall not be attending!

Feb. 2024 - great video. Would so love to ask questions. Are the general (Hebrew) epistles used by the Hebrew church until…… when? Where is the Hebrew church? Will they go into the Tribulation, using those same epistles? 144,000 in Revelation?

God bless you brother, love your teachings; however I disagree in love concerning this. I only ask that you look at these scriptures: Acts 9: 5 you mentioned above is confirmed by Paul in Galatians 1:13 "how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God."
Look at Galatians 1:22 which confirms without doubt that Paul is speaking about the body of Christ, "And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:" If they are in Christ, then they are in His body, just as we are. 2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:"
I don't quote these scriptures as if you don't know, because I do see God's given you much wisdom and knowledge; but to let the verses show the truth. Ephesians 2:20 "And are built up upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone." This is speaking of the bride of Christ. Revelation 21:14 "And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the lamb."
The apostles are apart of the bride,Jesus Christ only has one bride; to be apart of the bride you have to be in the body of Christ. I'm sure you know Genesis 2:24, man and woman becoming one, but look at Genesis 2:21 "and he took one of his ribs and closed the flesh instead thereof." Look at Jesus's death on the cross, John 19:34 "But one of the two soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forwith came there out blood and water." We have redemption by His blood, and the water He gives is the Holy Spirit; therefore, just as Eve came from Adam's side, the bride comes from Jesus Christ's side. This means that those who believed on Jesus Christ after his death and resurrection were the first in the body of Christ; those who believed in the new testament.
1 Corinthians 11 speaks in context about husband and wife, or man and woman: how man is by the woman, and woman is of man; but all things of God." Paul goes on to quote Luke 22:19 and 20 speaking of the new testament. The point is, that the church started with the new testament, which is why you find apostles in the bride of Christ in Revelation 21, and Ephesians 2. Have a blessed night, or day.
