Great Video , I just grease the gears on mine and it always works great. But It Blows a fuse at the most awkward times like at the grocery store in a downpour rain storm 😂 mine is a 75 and the glass fuses are always fun.🤣Thanks for the Knowledge.
Great video and well done on the install! I finally finished rebuilding the tailgate internals on my 91 a few weeks ago. Got it working perfectly with both switches. I noticed on the glass lifter channel on mine is installed opposite to yours (I followed the factory orientation when I did mine). I'm not sure if it makes a difference?
Hi dear really good job!! Can you help me tò find in and out Seal and and the guides inside ? I have to do the same in Italy to mine thank a lot in Advance for your help !
I’ve been researching how to troubleshoot and repair the rear tailgate and window issues on my 77 Cherokee 4 door. It’s a manual window crank and the crank is either stuck or just turns without engagement. So, the window is currently stuck in the up position. What’s the best approach to get the window down so I can at least open the tailgate? Thanks for any tips. This is all new to me. 😬
Ugh that's going to be a pain. I would try to get cover off the inside of the tailgate and try disassembling as much as you can from the inside until it finally lets go. I'm pretty sure you can get that all off and dig around in there. That's what I would do but I don't have any experience in a scenario like that.
This is what I used. If you call these guys, do me a favor and mention you saw this video. They're great about parts. bjsoffroad.com/tailgate-window-lift-pins-upgraded-clip-design/
Great video, thanks for creating. Question (if you can recall) - Do you think it would be possible to replace those 2 inside tracks with out fully removing the window? Mine are crunchy as well and I believe that is what is causing my glass to get stuck.
Possibly with the window all the way up or down. I don't recall a reason specifically why you couldn't. Removing the window isn't bad either of you get in a pinch.
Awesome job!
Thanks for the kind words!
Gonna replicate this because my glass doesn’t roll up or down. Thx for the walkthrough.
@@luisanthony1385 right on. Good luck. Hit me up if you have any questions.
Very good video. I do not speak a good Technical English, but everything's clear for me. Thank you. 🙂
@@StephaneEpale thank you!!
Damn, that baby is working smooth.
Just like 1990!

The washer and spring for the back window retraction, what would that exactly be called and where could you find it?

@@605BOLT Thank you.
My pleasure.
Ok just buy all new parts, got it -_-
Pretty much. Sometimes it's just the pins and the end tracks. But ya, this one was wore out.
