The FIRST SUV // Jeep Grand Wagoneer (SJ) Dry Ice Cleaning & Detailing

- This 1987 Jeep Grand Wagoneer visited our shop for dry ice cleaning the undercarriage & engine bay, car wash, paint correction, and interior detailing. The Jeep Wagoneer is widely considered to be the first SUV ever created, and holds the record for longest manufactured body style in all the world.
After we finished dry ice cleaning, we recoated the entire car with a fresh underbody coating, and sent it off to the detailing shop to get dialed in. After it left our shop, we sent it to Ted7 for photos and back to the owner who will be placing it up for auction on BAT (Bring a Trailer) soon. I'll post it here when it goes live.

Man, there's no competing with that dry ice service. Like a gentle form of sandblasting and after all the coatings are reapplied, thats basically restoration level far beyond any kind of degreasing and scrubbing the underside.Great job as always with the whole shebang..
What a classic!😎👌
We has one back in 1998 - 2000 just like this. These were incredibly smooth. It had some issues that the new owner sadly easily fixed but I always had fond memories of our Wagoneer.
You couldn't have picked a better candidate. The Wagoneer was the SUVs grandpa and possesses tons of soul. It's one of those timeless classics that one could drive for the rest of their lives and it will never grow old or out of style. I've had 3 over the years. They are on the high maintenance side (especially vacuum leaks and oil pressure issues) but if it's kept in check, it's hard to beat the Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer.
My grandfather used to have one and I've always wanted one.
The most comfortable ride ever.
What a swangin' ride! Not just groceries either. Pebble Beach, The Laundry restaurant, prom night ANYWHERE. 🏁🏁🏁
Nice video - thanks. Surprised not to see more rust on a vehicle this age.
Must be a west coast vehicle...
Wow great work! My grandparents have a 1972 wagoneer
Looks Awesome. My father had one of these back in the mid 80s, and it was a beast and lasted him for over 20 years before he sold it.
I want a grand Wagoneer. been looking for one for years but they keep appreciating in value.
Oh my God. That Grand Waggy looks new. 😮😮😮
Nice ride bro, I like this rod, the old school classics are my favorite!
Canadian Gen X. Thanks for the memories. I remember seeing these when I was MUCH younger. Superb job.
Looks Brand Spanking New !Great Job !
That was when a Jeep was a great vehicle !
My favorite SUV.
Absolutely love that Jeep
Real artistry
Showroom quality, very nicely done
I wanted this video to be about 10min longer and with more detail. Such a cool and iconic truck.
Preciosa. Saludos desde Queretaro México.
🙏🇲🇽🌎
Great video! One of the coolest vehicles of all time!
My jeep! Loved that truck! Had the rear window apart ten times before getting the guides jus right.
Awesome. Can I suggest a split screen side-by-side "before and after" shot at the end? That would be great to see the difference!
What a vehicle to detail. Jeep has my heart.
I wish i did that as a job. I love cars. I lovr cleaning. This j9b looks so relaxing.
Been waiting for you guys to do a Grand Wagoneer - hope to get mine down to you next year after it get out of the body shop for a thorough dry ice under carriage detail -nice job!
Beautiful. That Jeep has never even heard the word “salt.”
Super Video Thank you Good Job Happy Weekend Respect 😚😍🥰👍👌🤟
Outstanding job!!! I would love to own that beast!!! 😘
What a great job! This Grand Wagoneer is worth the while!! Awesome Jeep.
Your detailing is a dream come true! Please open a branch in Warren, Michigan. Thank you,
That's a damn good Wagoneer. That'd be fun to drive.
Fun? A Wagoner? Come on.
Look at the platform you have to work with. The body and frame are already in pristine condition. Upgrade to a set of Dana 44s, maybe even a set of Dana 60s. Cross drilled and slotted rotors, with Wilwood disc brakes and disc brake pads. Fully blueprint the block and maybe do a Stage 2 engine build, with a dual 4" exhaust system with high flow catalytic converters to boot. Any improvements that get made to it should be done in a way that it looks like this was how it got manufactured to begin with, without going overboard. You'll end up with a capable off-road rig that can handle being driven in winter time in snowy areas like the Northeast, and with a mildly custom stereo system would be equally fun to take to pre-sports game events and the drive-in movie theater.
How could you not like what there is to work with on potential, and what's already there? @@georgesnyder5337
They looked so classy back then, unlike the new one.
A very satisfactory job!
WOW !!!!! That Jeep is absolutely beautiful!!!! You guys did an amazing job.
Looks like a nut and bolt restoration. Awesome
7:46 I like the background music! Haha 😁🎵😎🚘😊
Love it. Nice work! 👊🏻😎🔨 Can you trailer it to my home?
What a great job for someone with ocd. I had a 91 xj that I loved to death but I just couldn’t win the rust battle and had to part with her.
Now it looks like a brand new 1987 car!
Wow! Outstanding work… very impressive!
Fantastic work ... AGAIN. Second to none.
Great love those old Wagoneer's
Clean car gives you class !
Amazing job!
I like it, good solid car, nicely rejuvenated.
I’d love to get my ‘92 Cherokee done (all original stock)
Quedo perfecto mi papá manejo una de estas hace casi 40 años
Can't even begin to imagine how many hours that took.
Chevy Suburban was first suv!..
Starting back in the 30s
Very good job! 🚘😎👏🎵 cool car 😁
The ol’ girl looks gorgeous
Wow, you can put it in the showroom as a new car
There’s gotta be a quicker way to get the dry ice cleaning done? Isn’t there some sort of pretreat that can be applied, etc?
The first SUV was the Jeepster Commando, FYI.
Isnt that the pet cemetary 2 truck? ❤😂

It’s amazing what you all can do! What is the brush that he uses to clean the interior? And when do you decide to use conditioner on leather seats? Thanks
It actually looks like the kind of brush they sell in a men's shoe cleaning/polishing kit. Curious myself...
@@marybetheby5184 Yes. I thought the same thing. I am 57 and polish my shoes everyday, before I go out. I followed in my dad's footstep. It sure looks like a buffing brush.
That jeep looks way better than the junk that they’re making these days
Yeah, just cookie cutter cars...the new Grand Wagoneer is hideous.
Lindo carro
2:03 🤔 I think it would be a good idea to wash the lower part of the car. It would shorten the process a bit ^.^ 😊
The original SUV was the Willys Overland station wagon, available in 2 or 4 wheel drive beginning in 1946
Yep.
Had 3 of these. White, Gold,Blue favorite vehicle until you leave it idle warming up and it locks up taking out the bottom end. Too low of oil pressure at idle.
Complete rejuvenation?
Thats a better phrase than any!
The dirt was the only thing keeping it from rusting
Nice Wagoneer. Actually though, the Suburban is probably the first SUV though.
no amount of polish will make that thing look good imho
damn
Peak AMC, the fake wood grain garbage just sets the stage, lol. Great job on the detail tho.
Might look good…but they were service nightmares. No reliability.
The biggest piece of shit vehicles I've ever owned had Jeep badges, to include the original wagoneer. Hyundai is a more reliable vehicle.
Good job
