    I really laugh with ignorant people, keyboard warriors mainly, that say "a wooden dummy wont move or strike back" and things like that. They cant even understand that the wooden dummy is for the Wing Chun practitioner what the boxing bag is for the boxer! Do boxing bags avoid you or strike back? It's a training tool guys, and will help you improve your movements and harden your hands etc.

      True...I just ignore those know-it-all dickheads who thinks they are grandmasters :) But this Wing Chun, I'd like to say, its not soft. Its more on the aggressive side.

    • @Mario-R-3232

      @@musichaven7598 This a pretty unusual lineage, probably Shaolin Wing Chun, it's a bit more difficult to learn and not too soft, you need to harden your bones etc the Shaolin way in order to proceed to higher levels. I have trained several lineages (5) and mastered one of them, but not this one shown here, it's quite stiff, hard and aggressive, but it's still Wing Chun.

      Interesting you say hard, because martial arts can be separated by two groups.
      There’s martial arts that prefers more stiffer harder movements which are usually called, “hand movement based”.
      There is also “soft based movement” martial arts which use softer movements; some examples of hand martial arts are: Muay Thai, Karate, and many forms of Kung fu.
      Examples of soft martial arts are: penchak Silat, judo, and also many forms of Kung fu.

    The idea of Wing Chun ready stance is based on twin butterfly knife. One knife for offensive, the other for defensive. Each knife switch position in time of change, but always stay balance and ambidexterity.

    • @sushirice6751
      @sushirice6751 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It’s not based on the knife, wing chun has been around for a long time.
      (Nvm did a bunch of research it did have knifes originally I’m fulla shit)
      Also concept of the hands taking the place of the others absence has been around for a long while as well as basic thing that happens in lots of martial arts.

    The one inch punch was based on a wing chun exercise, it wasn’t an already existing move.
    Also, how he explains how the inch punch works is wrong, the science behind it is kinetic linking (kinetic chains, kinematic chains) not “muscle shooting off of bone”

    • @Livingtree32

      I agree with you, but I think he tries to describe, how it feels, not an exact explanation of the mechanism, that´s behind.

    • @mythrin
      @mythrin 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In boxing there’s a concept called bone stacking, which is reinforcing the punch (muscle contraction) through the bone (which is lined up in the direction of power). It applies most to body shots where the power is generated off the torque of the legs, hip, and thrusted through the arm bones and joints in a kinetic chain. I think he may be describing something similar.

      Truth....if you don't drill for fighting your going to get your ass kick by someone who does. Sanda, mma, jiu-jitsu, judo, wrestling, boxing, and etc...prepare actual combat. Not saying kungfu, Tai chi, ba gua, wing chun, and etc...can't be used for fighting. But to drill this way you have to be willing to lose face and be humbled to the point you can do the humbling. I feel its lost in alot of Chinese martial arts and it's sad.

    • @TeaSerpent
      @TeaSerpent 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The school shown here is another completely fraudulent lineage. All the "Fujian Wingchun" lines have been exposed as frauds. This one was made up by a failed wannabe Bruce Lee actor / conman who learned Yip Man lineage Wing Chun in Hong Kong and then lied and claimed he learned a secret style from some guy in Fuzhou.
      They had just found the ruins of an old temple that used the Shaolin name. But they had no local arts claiming to come from there and the place had basically fallen to ruins from lack of funds or interest before the end of the Ming. So they wanted something to help sell it as the southern Shaolin temple of myth/fictional works. So they bought into this guys lies when he claimed that this supposed secret style of Wing Chun had preserved knowledge of it's location in their lineage (it's easy to claim you knew where something was the whole time if the place has already been made public years before)
      The fact that an obviously fake lineage was given national level intangible cultural heritage status is simply shameful.
      Also just to respond to some of the other comments, Wingchun does not come from Hakka people.

    Oh I was extremely impressed with wing chun ability to hit with their faces.
    Had fought with 4 wing chun "masters" from so called "different school". One claimed to be direct descendant of yip man or whatever his name was.
    Won all 4 fights in less than 3 mins. Send one to the hospital. Was really impressed by how all 4 sect of wing chun practitioners I had fought with attempted to hit my fist with their faces. Repeatedly.
    I remembered in particular one who used his face to hit my fist so hard that my wrist hurt for like a week. Even had to go to a hospital to check it out.
    You will never learn that from muay Thai, bjj, or other discipline.

      @@marshalljulie3676 I wish I was. Especially the wrist hurting part. I never knew how important the wrist is to someone. It really inconveniences me. From putting on a shirt, to clearing the trash.
      I was shocked because I am very proficient at wrapping my hands prior to any match to prevent exactly that. Despite that and wearing gloves AND with good experience in boxing (6/7 years so I know how to land a hit) I still ended up with fortunately only a wrist sprain after the "master's " face repeatably hitting my fist.
      How do you think I feel. Being able to bench 4 plates (180kg/396 pounds) at the gym for 5-10 reps to suddenly not being able to bench 1 plate (60kg/132 pounds) for that period? Doesn't feel good I tell you.
      In my limited years of training (boxing >6 years, black belt in bjj, and currently 2 years into muay Thai) I had never experienced a sprain wrist from someone using their face to hit my fist.
      Sure I get my ass kicked on the regular during bjj, boxing, and muay Thai. But wing chun... 😂 Though I think like tai chi it's generally good for elderly to loosen their limbs and keep general fitness. But I will never recommend hitting someone's fist with your face. Repeatedly
