Got my pair this evening from Amazon (2 days + 10% off), simply install. (2021 Road King) I did notice two things. #1, be careful on the left side to just go around the frame, very easy to accidentally go around the oil line to the oil cooler too. #2, on the right side the material is very close to the header pipe just wondering if you've checked yours after riding to see if any damage. These are very well made and will be very useful in cooler and wet weather. I'm not an accessory guy at all if it doesn't serve a purpose. I like especially that they can be easily removed and stored in the saddlebag. Thanks for the tip. Panama city beach FL.
I went for a ride yesterday for about 2 hours and the temp out in California was just over 90. I stopped and checked out the soft lowers and they were fine. That said, they work so good that I had to remove them as I needed more air and stored them away in my saddle back. I agree it is nice to have them and ready when the weather changes and get cooler and so simple to remove. Thanks for sharing!
First again,,,,,lol... Those sure seem like a good buy. Looks like quality stuff. Did you change out your seat, I must have missed that video if you did one. I changed mine, I went with the Mustang seat.... Ride safe buddy Joe Z, Panama city beach FL.
@@CageFreeMoto Great review,,,and you sold me! Just ordered a pair and the CageFree10 discount code worked to save an additional $4 on an already good deal. (Plus free shipping) Thanks,,I'll let you know what I think about them. I'm riding to North Carolina late October and I'm sure they will come in handy,,plus they should help to keep your lower pant leg dry when riding on a wet road. Joe Z
I had a pare of HD soft lowers on my 98 Fatboy. They had hard plastic inside. I loved them and never took them off. They helped block the rain and on the long rides there was less strain on my legs from the wind trying to blow my legs outward. Sadly I hit a deer and the bike went down and destroyed the engine guard and a low. The bike and I are back on the road but haven't replaced the lowers yet. the ones you put on look very nice and are a lot cheaper than the 100+ dollars that I paid. Even if you don't use them all the time I think you will like them when you do. I am not just a fair weather rider so I never felt the need to take mine off.
I have been using them as it has bit cold here in California. That said, it can get into triple digits heat in the summer so I will take them off. But will carry them with me as we have micro climates here in the Bay Area. These may be a good alternative for you to try, happy to hear you are good and back riding. Take care!
have used soft lowers on several hds…to Alaska & back to Kentucky…all kinds of weather, road surfaces from mud to gravel to fresh oil on gravel…kept jeans & boots cleaner, drier & warmer when it was cold & rainy / snowy ❗️ they clean up easy & come off quickly, very useful 😎
Yep, LOL, I realized that when I watched the video just prior to publishing it. But would you put a drink there? Don’t think I would, leaving for a short road-trip tomorrow, maybe I can try. Thanks for calling it out 😄
Hi-really enjoy your channel, partly because I have a 2020 Road King Standard in Stone Washed White Pearl! I like the soft lowers, picked up some myself last year. In Washington State, things like these are very useful. You may consider some fork mounted air deflectors during the colder Mos. They reduce buffering greatly. Another must have in my book is an AIM Light Force clutch slave-absolute game changer! Anyway, enjoy your beautiful bike and thanks for sharing your adventures!
It’s been 2 years. How have they held up? Considering a pair for my chop crash bars. Kemi is the only company I can find that makes soft lowers for chop crash bars.
They worked perfectly, and I love that I can easily store them in one of my bags. When the weather turns cold or rainy, I can just put them on as needed. That said, I’ve become a big fan of lowers and recently installed hard lowers, something I never thought I’d do. However, after how great the soft lowers performed, they helped me make the decision to upgrade to hard lowers.
Bro.. You still need to try the chrome Harley wind deflectors that mount on the 4 windsheild mount bolts. They 100% work!. So i removed my soft lowers last week when it got to 82 degrees and could feel the engine heat comming back on me. And then even at 100+ mph the front wind deflectors did the job of keeping that wind from blowing up from under the windsheild blasting into my face!.. I told ya, these are the best thing you can do, and worth every penny! I really enjoy the bike even more now, And just as good as my 4 other Harleys with the full bat wing fairings.. The other plus is that i can see the road a lot better withount those big fairings in the way!.. So i'm really liking our Road King a lot better that my Ultras and Street Glides!!. It's prettier too!!!..
I went for a Sunday rode for about 2 hours and it was just over 90 degrees and did notice the difference in heat with the soft lowers on. They work great and love that they come off & on super easy. I will put them on as it get cooler. Those Harley wind deflectors are definitely on my radar! Nothing better than a nice looking addition to the Road King that serves a great function. Thanks!
I have the Luxury of owning a Limited and a Heritage and of course I notice the difference without the lowers. It was 113 one day when on the Limited and I took the Heritage the next day.

Have the same set, older version. Love them! Only gave $17 for them on Amazon. They do the trick in cold weather!
Good to know!
I believe that pull out vented pouch in the left lower is to hold a water bottle.

Would have done the same! I would like to have a HD Deluxe, 2018 or greater. Looking forward to the protection the soft lowers will offer.
Nice video. Kemimoto makes decent products. 👍
Yes they do! Thanks for the kind words :)
What bars are those ?
Believe it or not, I run with the stock bars.
Here in MO, are days are in the 30’s-40’s. Still riding, but these would probably help me enjoy my rides more. Ordering now!
I rode in the low 50's and made a HUGE difference for me.
Can anyone comment as to how well it protects against rain?
Mark Smith left a comment that should answer your question :)
