Look at the game again and watch how many widow mines just don't do anything. It's ridiculous, like when Solar attacks Clem's 3rd, there's a mine burrowed for a long time, waiting for the army - it ignores the lings, it ignores the banes and just dies when the overseer gets in range. Things like that happened at least 20 times that game when there were maybe 5 good hits and probably more friendly fire hits. It's beyond me how can anyone get angry about widow mines, if anything Terran players should be wanting something actually reliable because at their most important task - dealing with ling bane - mines are absolutely trash. The random trigger delay is bonkers, nothing you can rely on - "this fight is fine, I have mines ready" SIKE they don't shoot...
Yeah the game was epically intense. Solar embodied the swarm and it felt like Clem was on the verge of breaking the entire time and barely holding.

Tempo was utterly insane
First 3 games were somewhat action packed.
This is what TvZ used to look like when Polt, Taeja,Jaedong etc played... and it was really entertaining to watch.
Im glad that PiG is part of the casting cast, his gameplay analysis is top notch.
Pig is the best caster next to tastosis duo hands down.

Yes the wheel of legacy was touch and go there for Clem, but I felt that some of the questions did favor him.

If Clem wins this tournament it will be a miracle honestly. He's really great but imagine - he has just beat Solar in a very close match, now he knows he needs to beat Serral in order to get a TvT final. And his opponent Terran will have just played 2 TvTs in a row to get prepared for the potential TvT final. Goes both ways too though - if Clem loses to Serral, Serral will have the best practise for the final Terran who will have just played 2 TvTs in a row. I'd be so glad if Clem can do it, but right now I think it's either Serral, Maru or Big Gabe

Clem's TvZ is on another level... I don't think any other Terran in the world could have won that 1st game, maybe Maru

SPOILER: Solar was done so dirty by game 4. I feel awful for him. He should have rewind the game to an earlier point because he took too much damage, and seemed to start after it.

I wonder if the pause-causing "fps drop" could be seen on some cameras pointed at his screen, or in his fpvod screen recording
And on a tangent, I wonder how they do that screen recording - since if software-based it would not always be indicative of what's actually on the display, and could actually be the reason for fps drops.
i know they are hard to control (at least for me) but infestors always seem criminally underused against terran. 1 money fungal can literally win the game. against any kind of bio composition i dont get why they arent just mandatory you change the tide of almost every fight even with the prospect of a fungal coming out. actually hitting it is just icing on the cake
It's funny you said this when infestors are what Serral used against Maru in the grand final, and are what gave him the edge when he needed it

Every time theyre used im like, dude, why isnt this just standard composition…other than them being slow and squishy, and taking a while to bank some energy, the only other thing i can think of is too much gas slows down late game tech too much? But they work well with late game comp so that doesnt seem very good reason.
@@vivsavagex i suppose there's maybe some argument to be made that, not everyone is Serral lmao, because he's just an unfair comparing, i mean he even had Maru smiling at like how are his Infestors always where i can't see them, but always where they can fungal me, like he used 3 scans in one area, and the Infestors was sitting in the one single pocket that wasn't scanned, that's just Serral
