You got the spirit behind it right - Richard was literally flying over this album .. there are all those bursts - way more notes than it should - you got it very right - i wish you covered Spirit Crusher too ... there's a part i still can't figure out what he was playing - let alone even attempt playing it LOL
I honestly think that this is one of the toughest songs to play on drums. Incredible fills, tons of time signature changes, sick tempo with double bass, cymbals work, ghost notes. This song literally has everything and its not short either. You did a really good job. Richard Christy is a beast, very underappreciated one too
No. Peart could groove. You can’t find a groove in this tune. It’s a chop shop, for sure, but it’s the textbook definition of overplaying. Kudos to Christy and this cat for being able to pull this off though. It’s technically impressive. Musically horrible. 😁

I have a couple rancans and a 22” zildjian oriental china trash from the 90s. This guys cover is quite spot on. Love the cymbal and that tiny thing under the high hats
