Don't forget that Eriana's can pierce ANY shield. That includes shields from Hydras and Phalanx shields and other enemies with shields that I cant remember right now

Try Eriana's Vow + a Bow with quick access sling, you'll feel even dirtier cause you don't need to hit crits at all.

As others have pointed out, this can pierce almost ANY shield, from a cabal phalanx shield to a Vex Mind shield to a Vex hobgoblin invincible healing solar shield. It's an incredibly versatile weapon.
This gun is amazing in gambit. Two shots invaders, and does well while invading too. Put on an hc ammo finder and scav as well as reserves and go ham. Orphidian aspects might help for the handling, too.

I love Eriana's. I used it during the last Iron Banner and it was horrifyingly devastating to the enemy players. I was able to consistently get picks on players who had taken maybe one or two body shots from an SMG. The bullet magnetism and ability to two shot with 1 head 1 body made it feel extremely consistent.
I had the artifact glitch activate on one of my games and I was bumped to power 1014. The poor 970's and 980's on the other team didn't know what hit them.
That explains why i was going up against a full team of 1015+ players. Definitely like this gun in pvp too, i used it a ton during ib in shadowkeep for the catalyst and still use it in pvp and against barrier champs
Also, Eriana's vow is one of the best weapon for soloplay in nightfall. It could maybe be its biggest selling point. You have a special weapon that can do anti-barrier. That's why the majority of solo plays are done with this weapon.

Personally....this is one of the few HCs I love in D2. It reminds me a little of The First Curse from D1 once you activate the exotic perk. The Solar damage and piercing are awesome bonuses.
Ultimate Meme Build: Eriana's Vow and a bow with Lucky Pants. All the power of a Eriana's+Handcannon build except the primer has a draw time and the finisher requires special ammo
There is almost no difference in swap and draw time between lucky pants and just using quick access sling on the bow. Use that exotic slot for something better.
If you have charged with light, blessing of the sky or empowering rift erianas does oneshot in pvp.
I really like the references to the lore, both in the name "Eriana's Vow" and in the ornament "For Wei".
Use a bow WITH Eriana's Vow.
A kinetic bow of the Precision Frame archetype works best, and apply a Quick-Access Sling to the bow.
I'm still working on trying to figure out what Titan and Warlock exotics would fit these weapons,
but for Hunters, take Oathkeepers. Lucky Pants IS an option, however, Oathkeepers will allow you to
keep the bow drawn as you walk up to areas of engagement. The trick is to fire off your bow shot,
and then because of Quick-Access Sling, drawing Eriana's is almost instant, allowing for a quick cleanup.
I've 2-tapped Titans in their Fists of Havoc supers in this way, I've been hackusated a lot because of this build.
I know this was posted a month ago, but I thought I'd drop this build in case anyone was looking to mess around in PvP.

By far the most essential and useful part of a loadout for anyone who low-man's the game's more difficult content. Has been a fantastic addition to the exotic pool.

This gun is a good choice for the hand cannon portion of the Iron Banner Quest. Put on a hand cannon scavenger mod and just treat it like a hand cannon that 2 taps every time.

If you pair eriana’s vow with a precision bow that has quick access sling you will have the ability to two tap very quickly at almost any range.
And when I mean two tap I mean two body shots in less than a second at almost any range.

I dislike that precision hits reset the cooldown timer of First Glance. Fantastic ornament and ammo capacity (with mods) though.
I love the catalyst on this gun, more bullets in the mag and auto loading holster feels amazing
Missile Titans can slide over a special brick to not only bypass the reload but also one-tap for a short while. It's hilarious, off-meta fun.

The combo for eriana's is lucky pants + Any 110 (Duke for example). I mean, its pretty funny to win rumble with this loadout.
i find the most sucess with tis gun in pvp when i use it as an extremely accurate from the air and easy to hit shots at close range sniper

The Cryptarch is selling it now along with other seasonal exotics - you need the exotic cypher for it tho (and other materials) which can be obtained at lvl 55 from the season pass

A cool exotic would be one that can switch between unstoppable, shield piercing, and overload rounds.
I have mained this gun since I came out and currently have it on my load out. I have the catalyst as well and I’m a crack shot with it because I’ve been playing with it a lot.

So, you can't get this anymore because it was a part of the season 8 pass, right? I don't remember the last time Bungie locked exotics behind a pay wall with limited access. They should give it a quest. As they should with every season pass based weapons from now on
Imo its the only seasonal weapon worth grinding for & completing the catalyst. Tommy is a good second but i feel that’s subjective to a possible nerf next season over A.R.’s. E.V. Has stayed consistent and is consistently reliable if you take your time. If you’re not yet a sniper but you wanna get good it’ll teach you how without feeling like it’s holding your hand due to the balance. It’s probably the only special weapon I actually am excited to die to as so many just shit talked its value in PvP. It may not be meta but its lethal on both systems and is my personal favorite clutch up weapon.
That being said i dont yet have a positive KD. Im sitting around a .8 or a 1.1KDA sooooo take my subjective opinion with a box of salt. I play as competitively as i can but im also not one to really fall to every meta. About the most meta i get is thorn/beloved. I like fun load-outs and to me this is stupid fun lol. But again im not a pro and the pros dont use this cause, as he stated, its not as effective as a full fledged sniper.

Unfortunately in Beyond Light you can't stack Unstoppable mod for hand cannons with this one. Sad.

I used eriana's vow in scourge of the padt. It was surprisingly good.

I really want this weapon but I quit when D2 moved over to Steam (in the middle of a move through states), I came back for season of Dawn and was disappointed I didn't get it as a drop. I than decided to buy Shadowkeep thinking I would unlock it at some point than but sadly after 4 weeks ov visiting Xur no ... I can't get this weapon unfortunate it seems lost indefinitely for the time being.
Bruh that catalysts not only gives it auto loading but bumps the mag from 6 to 9, don’t sleep on it

I want to like this gun but I just can’t in any high level content. While it has more range than the sidearms and SMGs I’m forced to use this season, I find it to be very unforgiving.
Death at first glance feels like a debuff for missing shots, rather than a buff for landing headshots. The damage without first glance is awful, and when you combine that with the high levels of flinch you receive from champions in master level level content, with the very high recoil of the gun, it doesn’t feel good to use.
use the Hush bow instead for pvp

Too bad the quest to get the catalyst for this gun is absolutely stupid requiring 400 playlist strikes (no nightfall), crucible, or gambit (gambit prime supposesly awards 4 points but i dont play gambit so idk if this is true).

Nope. The seasonal exotics after the season ends will disappear and will no longer be obtainable until it comes back next or another season as an RNG drop.

Dude, wtf, I’ve been slaying with this in crucible and now my secrets are exposed!
If someone has ANY of their shield down you can one tap em in the dome and if you’re in clutch situations you can spam two shots out of the FOUR you start with and just get a 2 tap body kill. I run a spare rations and the vow.
