This lifted my heart to see you and Ben sharing precious time together…👌…. (Just shows Scum can’t change true determination 💪)….. Thanks for sharing ..🥃🏴
Hi Steve I rode Aviemore to John o groats on a push bike a couple of years ago, so doing on the Triumph should be a breeze. Great roads and views Ahead. Enjoy
Hi John, now that sounds like a proper ride! Ben and I are known to sneak in the odd 50 mile road bike ride (luckily me in Lycra will never be on TH-cam!) and that would be such a fantastic route to take! 😊
Top marks - lovely video. Well done Steve - admirable guts and determination ably supported by Ben. Delighted to see a light at the end of what has been a pretty dark, dismal, dank tunnel. Time to leave your horrendous France experience behind you and move on, which is what you are doing so brilliantly. A well deserved 👍
Hiya Steve & Ben. Very different weather than yous should have been riding in, but this is Scotland. Enjoyed your video. I live in Dumfries. I'm just back from touring around Aberdeen. Take care, ride safe.
Whoop whoop aqsome news and thank God for good people who ever it may be who kindly lent you the bike. So pleased you get to ride with your lad after all.
Great to see you back on the road again so soon, enjoy and let the GSA go that chapter has ended start a new chapter in your life and follow your dreams.
Enjoy your time with your son glad your back on the road brings back memories of the good old days no fairings and cold and wet on a 72 bonneville enjoy your riding with your lad muke and wendy 2 oaps
Hi Steve and Ben good to see you can't knock a good man down. Glad your back on the road and making the best of the time together despite the bad weather.
Ben's bike looks great. Fab styling and quite sporty looking. I'll bet he would have loved to go a bit faster on the motorway!;-) Pity about the weather there - we've had a similar "summer" in Ireland (a good few nice days but no long spell of decent weather). Looking forward to the next few episodes from Scotland.
I’m really impressed with Ben’s bike, it seems to tick a lot of boxes. The weather seems like an ongoing challenge but it won’t dampen out sprints, it’s just so good to be back out there together! 😊
Triumph-ant return! Good to see you back on 2 wheels. Looking forward to seeing if you can do the nc500 in 5 days. I'm considering it but 5 days is about as far as I can push it. Day up there and back with 3 days to do the route.
great you are back on 2 wheels with your son, a bit of a wet start but as you said it's British summer, and in Belgium it is quite the same. Have fun and looking forward to see next video.
Great to see you & Ben back on the road Steve. Just like you whenever I have ridden other bikes since owning a GS I really miss not having such a solid feel on the front suspension. Enjoy Ted.
Yass Steve, back in the game, good to see you and Ben in Scotland , we’ve had particularly bad weather here lately. However the views and roads are fantastic. Good luck with the ongoing GSA hassle.
This is fantastic. So pleased to see you back on the road on the Bonnie. Maybe you’ll have a look at the new Triumph Tiger 1200 to replace the AWOL GSAdv?
Good to see you back on a bike, some bikes are great for playing on, others are great for comfort on a tour, I reckon you’ve got used to your comforts of the GSA😊, sounds like you need invest in some new gear too after the toerags in France stole it all.
Just started watching a video by Bike Like Mike, he’s taking about his stolen GS when I. France, just in case you haven’t seen that one. Hope you get another bike soon, meanwhile another great one here Bonnie Scotland 👍🏻😊
Thanks Adrian! Yes, I’ve seen that, another nightmare take from Reims (there has been so many recently it’s scary). Working on getting a new bike at the moment and enjoying the Bonnie in Bonnie Scotland in the meanwhile 😊
Hi Fella. So, so pleased that you managed to get some "father and son" bike time after the theft of your GSA. When you mentioned where you were going and more importantly when, I did smile as I live 15 miles north of Dunoon and know just how wet it was over the time of your trip. Hope you get the insurance sorted asap and get a replacement GSA. Best, Tim.
Thanks Tim, it’s good to be back on a bike and especially in beautiful Scotland! My phone notified me of your other comment re the Triple Black, but I couldn’t find the thread to answer… I’ll check it out on the BMW site… I have been casting a very wide net thus far! Thanks once again for your help 😊
@@TwoWheeledDreamer Hi Fella. BMW Glasgow have a 65 plated GS, no luggage 1 owner and just 10k on the clock. Oh its in red and is up for £8295. I'm sure you could get a good few bob of this price but am unsure is you would be happy with the standard GS as opposed to the GSA. Best, Tim
As the owner of a BMW GS and a Bonneville, (mine is 44 years old) I’m in complete agreement with you Steve….the Bonnie is gorgeous to look at and sounds amazing but nothing beats a GS on a long trip! Hope to see you back on one soon 🤞
Not a great first day Steve and Ben but it’s great to see you mobile again. I’ve been following another motorcycle channel ( Sean and Emily ) and they also said that there was a lack of accommodation in Scotland although they had better weather than you. Enjoy your trip.
Steve its a shame you never posted video earlier, You could have stayed a night at my place in Ayr before heading north, would have given you my rukka jacket, trousers and gloves for the rest of your trip and you could have just dropped them back off on your way back home
Hi Fella. Further to my earlier comment the black gsa in Parks has been sold. When at Parks today droppi g off my gsa and looked at the red gs on 65 plate. I'm not sure if you want a gsa but this gs on 65 plate is mint, sub 10k on clocks fbmw service history, pair brand new tyres. Asking price £8295. Accepte no luggage but it will come with a BMW 2 year warranty. Best, Tim.
Hi Tim, thanks for this, it’s really helpful having you point out what’s about. I did approach Parks about a rally GSA but it didn’t work out. I’m pursuing something a little closer to home which will hopefully pan out in the next couple of days… Cheers, Steve
Generally I found it to be pretty good, similar to the other comment. My top half was completely dry but my legs were a bit damp by the end of the ride… Not bad for the price though!
your partner is a star letting you borrow the bike after a recoverd from covid and other illnesses I bought and old gixer 1000 got it on the road ready for a tour round the country up north round then back down south to get on ferry to France and start riding south stopped in Worcestershire at an air ambulance charity bike meet it was so packed I couldn't get near the venue I was staying in Worcester it a friends house lucky I removed all my camping gear at the meeting I helped collect glasses and tidy up came to get my bike it was gone stolen gutted nobody donated me a bike and it put out on social media it made sa ill I haven't ridden much since a loved my gsxr and toured on it and got 68 mpg and not trying hard john
Yes, I am very lucky she has leant me the Bonnie and I’m so sorry to hear you went through all of that with the loss of your bike… Hope everything gets sorted
I know it’s terrible to have your bike stolen but silly question, seeing as it’s gone and you couldn’t do much about it, why didn’t you just go and rent a bike for the few days left and complete the special trip with your son to the Black Forest instead of immediately travelling back home🧐
Hi Steve sorry to put a downer on it but I see you still a fan of airbnbs. Maybe your running on some sort of lowest budget possible. That's ok, however parking at these places is 99% outside, I sincerely hope you take the decision on any further tours across France you use hotels with secure parking. Many times Reims is a regular stop for us on our first night coming from Halesowen in the Black Country and the Ibis hotel is a godsend with underground parking just for that few extra euros. Peace of mind Steve
Hi Christopher, my budget definitely doesn’t stretch to hotels… The next time I tour Europe, my plan is to camp only; therefore I will be sleeping next to the bike and within earshot of anything bad happening!
@@TwoWheeledDreamer Brilliant idea Steve, I'm afraid at our groups age camping is a no no these days, best of luck, by the way did you notice the other guy that had his GS stolen had to find his own way home as well as you,
This lifted my heart to see you and Ben sharing precious time together…👌…. (Just shows Scum can’t change true determination 💪)…..
Thanks for sharing ..🥃🏴
Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed it 😊
Great to see you back on a bike Steve and doing a trip with your son 👍 looking forward to to more vids

Good to see you back on the road, more especially, in Scotland 🏴. Enjoy.
Thanks Ken! 😊
Hi Steve.
Glad your sorted, great to see you out with your boy on bikes. Not quite the luxury you are use to. 😅
Thanks Peter! I think I’ve become a bit soft in my old age but I’m still loving it! 😁
Who needs luxury when you have style 😊
That’s absolutely brilliant so glad you both have managed to get out together 🏍️🏍️💨💨 keep smiling and ride safe you guys 👍🏻 from us Guys 🏍️🏍️💨💨👍🏻👍🏻

A British tour on British bikes. What could be better? Glad you’re back on the road again!

Thank you! Enjoy the south of France, I hope the weather’s being kind to to you 😊

How did you find the Oxford rainsuit? Rain will always find a way in somehow but wondering if overall it worked well?
I have the 2 piece. Jacket amazing, but the trousers get saturated and as they sit on your legs they get wet through on your knees.
