I watched this video again after Chinmayis interview in Avalglitz few days back.
Shame on Pandey to have asked such questions to a victim. This is a big dent in Pandey's reporting career. First of all he need not have interviewed this case at all. Secondly he did not allow her to finish her answers as she herself points out that during the interview. Thirdly not once he had said that there maybe truth in victim's charges. Whether said 1 year or 5 years or 25 years later . But it is the truth....Too bad , too bad... He doesn't understand the psychology of others. Chinmayi answered very well for each and every question. Matured lady.

@@ENESelvaPrabakaranA Whether Chinmayi is right or wrong is not the problem. Journalists should follow some ethics and assuming that the wronged person is innocent is also wrong. I remember few days back in some interview, Chimayi quoted about this interview and how Pandey was meddling with his phone without caring for her answers.... Is that also right?.
It does not matter whether Chinmayi wins the case or not. It is enough to expose the victimizer. It is enough to make the perpetrator feel afraid and think twice before proceeding with his misconduct.

Asking question is easy guys, just imagine the same situation for your sister or daughter. Do you still ask the same question if it is your sister or daughter? Rengaraj Pandey went extreme level and asked too much questions about the victims true statement, but he didn't try to get accused person's interview. A true journalist should go and get the interview from other person also but he is not doing it so far. Whether the incident is true or not, don't bully the person who is complaining for the sake that other person is famous. What happened between Bill Clinton and Monica? Clinton absolutely denied everything at first interview and said "he doesn't know that woman" and then what happened? Try to bring the true justice guys, police dept should take the complaint and then go to court. Again in the court also, we have general idea what would happen? Just see the 1984 movie Vidhi and imagine what the lawyer's questions would be. In the men time, don't bully or accuse or harass the victim, it is Police's job to protect the victim. In general, respect everyone.
This interview itself is sexist. This woman says she was molested as a child. These interviewers really need to get some basic knowledge about psychology and how sexual abuse works and rewires the victim's brain to accept and tolerate abuse in the future. Instead, they're interviewing victims like cavemen. A good majority of victims either never speak about the abuse or they come out years later when they feel ready to talk about it. When trauma happens at an age when the child can't process it, the child typically stores and buries the trauma deep into his/her mind until they are at an age when it can safely be processed. This is usually years or decades later. It's called PTSD- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The same thing happens to adults. When trauma occurs, if the person doesn't have the emotional resources to deal with it, their mind/body stores the trauma and it comes out at a much later time when they are able to process it and they have the courage and maturity to express themselves. The majority of victims never speak about their trauma and therefore they never open up that trauma that's stored within. With that said, I strongly recommend that Chinmayi have stronger boundaries with these interviews. She should avoid talking to chauvinists and closet chauvinists to tell her story. Instead, she should speak with compassionate male journalists who know how to respect women and victims in order to set an example and a standard of what kind of behavior she will accept from men. But when she does press conferences and interviews with chauvinists and men who doubt her and shame her, she is lowering herself and getting dragged in the mud unnecessarily. She's entertaining sub-standard behavior and at this point as a victim, it is retraumatizing and demoralizing. She's essentially accepting abuse from them, and it's better to set boundaries with such interviewers and journalists. These chauvinists have nothing to lose. But when you roll in the mud with a pig, you get dirty too.

Few Weak points from Chinmayi's interview
1) Court is on leave - I don't know what to say about it.
2) MeToo was at its peak before 2 years. SriReddy & Suchi leaks were reflections of it. Around that time Chinmayi also defended herself and Vairamuthu in her FB/Twitter posts.
3) There are corporate laws for handling Sexual Harassment and also lot of cases filed related to it.
4) Kalyan's master issue - her immediate response was BASTARD and also told that her friend was affected too from Kalyan master. Then she backtracked later after known that post was wrong.
5) In her marriage photos, both her face & her mother's faces were filled up with warm smiles. Usually it would not be given to a sexual predator even under situational compulsions.
Having said that we also should listen her side of story if there is evidence and if it found to be true then Vairamuthu should be punished

2) Sri Reddy slept with the men and she was revenging on them as she was not given the role she was promised. This me too movement is about women who have been approached at work place and harrassed when they didnt want or indicate that they were going to give sexual favours. Suchitra's husband karthick himself has said that suchitra was mentally disturbed at the time. Chinmayi did not talk about vairamuthu at this point. that does not mean she 'defended' him. So wrong usage of word here.
3) yes there are laws. Me too is about exposing normalised behaviour that society doesn't consider to be a problem. We are talking about hr departments which say 'its just a small thing' if someone is harrassed.

5) this, i am tired of answering. we women tend to hide our problems and pretend everything is okay. because telling the truth will disturb the peace. so this is why she may have done that. i myself continue to do it. so do the women in my family. if you have faced trauma you will understand

1) Court was on leave - Chinmayi has given close to 30 interviews since she named Vairamuthu as a sexual predator. Vairamuthu hasn't given even ONE.
Every interview she's given so far, they've asked her the SAME questions. Why didn't you come out earlier? Why didn't you go to court? Why didn't you go to the police?
She's given very very clear clarifications in her previous interviews and on her Twitter Timeline.
It's only natural to get vexed when she's asked the same question, in yet ANOTHER interview.
2) I'm not aware of any Me Too movement that *peaked* in India, two years ago.
And even if it did, Chinmayi was going through a number of personal issues at the time and simply didn't have the courage or the strength to pursue this issue or take it to court. And then again, it's *high* time we stopped asking victims why they haven't spoken out earlier. She may have had a hundred and one reasons. She has finally found her voice and spoken out now and it's up-to *us* to listen.
3) Corporate laws against sexual harassment exist. But as far as the film industry is concerned, there are supposedly no committees formed as yet to listen to these victims.
Actor Vishal addressed this in a recent event and said a three person committee would soon be formed.
But when? Who are these three people? No clarification received thus far.
4) Yes, Kalyan Master was falsely accused. You cannot hold Chinmayi or the Me Too movement responsible for this. It is a good movement, a good initiative and if there are women out there who use it for their own personal gains and for revenge, *they* should be held responsible.
That said, the same Chinmayi who re-tweeted an allegation against Kalyan Master also issued a clarification video where she said Kalyan Master has been falsely accused and is innocent.
5) Both were under the pressure of having to look normal. It was an event with hundreds of veterans in the industry and media people in attendance. They *HAD* to pretend.
Else, a DAY after Chinmayi's marriage, newspapers and articles would have started speculating about the apparent lack of warmth in their treatment of Vairamuthu. Chinmayi has addressed even this in previous interviews and spoken about it on Twitter.
