How to use Electronic Handbrake Switch in your Car. Electronic Parking Brake Function and Auto Hold Button.
Personally I prefer a standard Handbrake but most modern cars now have an Electric Parking Brake button. I will show you how to use the Electric Handbrake and explain the Auto Brake Hold function. Electric Handbrakes are great, especially for Hill Hold and pulling away safely on a steep incline as there is no danger of rolling backwards and causing an accident.

Auto hold will release once the clutch is raised to the bite point in a manual car no need for accelerator

One of my cars has electric brake/auto hold. The other a traditional handbrake. I hate the electronic brake with a passion, and would class it as another one of those pointless car features that can easily be done without.

Yeh I prefer an original handbrake. Also it makes the driving test easier now as when I learned the hill start was a tricky part of the test. Now the car won’t roll back at all, easy peasey!

How can I use the hand brake to slide around the curve then? I mean, you'd have no control, how hard you'd pull the hand brake. It's just on and off.

Yeh no chance of a stuntman or stuntwoman doing a handbrake turn at all, it will be bring it to a firm but controlled stop!

Are you sure it’s no the Start Stop system activating?
