Intellectual Kshatriya, the meaning, relevance and importance of the idea for Hindus so beautifully explained by none other than the one who coined the concept - Dr. David Frawley (Pandit Vamadeva Shastri).
One of the biggest issues is that the majority of new-generation Hindus are unaware and ill-informed about their own dharma. Hence, this lack of knowledge automatically reduces the number of 'intellectual kshatriyas' who can save the Sanatan Dharma. So in order to create a strong and effective army of 'Intellectual Kshatriyas' we first need to address the underlying task of informing the Hindu-born generation and inculcating the values of Sanatan Dharma in them.

The only modern Indian leader of international stature who fit the description of both an intellectual and military Kshatriya was Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose --- the Indian Samurai who mysteriously disappeared on the eve of independence. His unsung, forgotten army (because of deliberate sidelining by Nehurvian politics) may have lost on the battlefield but won the propaganda war against the British; a fact that was acknowledged by then British PM Clement Attlee. Some of the Japanese associates of Bose described him as one who fit the profile of the ideal samurai. In the Indian context, in the last 150 years there hasn't been any other leader of the stature of the Head of State -- Bose was the President of Indian National Congress, the Head of Provisional Govt. of Free India and Supreme Commander of Indian National Army (INA) --- with a very high order of personal mental and physical courage and strength displayed in such acts as making a daring escape from British imprisonment across the Indian sub-continent from Kolkata in Bengal to all the way into Afghanistan, Soviet Russia, Germany & then onto Japan, negotiating support for Indian independence from powerful dictators including Hitler, travelling in a submarine for 3 months and spending the last 3-4 years of his known life in combat zones. He even formed one the first all women combat units named "Rani ofJhansi" regiment in 1943. And Subhas Bose is the only one among the tallest Indian leaders who refuses die -- till date his is the unique case of "dead uncertain."
Netaji is supposed to have lived as the extremely secretive mystic named "Bhagwanji" (pronounced Bhag-one-ji) or as the Hindi media named him after his death "Gumnaami Baba" - the Nameless Saint. His followers - those who knew him as Bhagwanji - tell a tale of him (perhaps as a stroke of destiny) visiting the mystical Himalayan abode of Gyanganj or Siddhashram also known as Shangrila or Shambala and undergoing a metamorphosis into a spiritual seeker of the highest order. He lived mostly in northern India near Nepal and the Himalayas. He left the physical body near Ayodhya - the birth place of Lord Ram and as destiny would have it - his body was cremated at Guptaar Ghat or Saryu river from where Lord Ram left for his abode in Vaikuntha. Based on an order of Uttar Pradesh High Court the State Govt has appointed a Commission to ascertain the identity of who now is known is "India's most famous unknown man." In the belongings of Gumnaami Baba was also found a letter written in 1972 by the then RSS chief Guru Golwalkar - asking his permission to meet him and also seeking his blessings and his orders (timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Gumnami-Baba-had-a-letter-from-former-RSS-chief/articleshow/51376927.cms) -- for the RSS chief to pay so much respect - it is clear that he was not any ordinary Baba. It is said that Indian Intelligence has highly secret records - which if published - would prove that the Baba was Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose living a life of a Sannyasi.
Jay Lakhani fully embodies what can be called an intellectual Kshatriya. Please check out him in TH-cam. He has a channel named HinduAcademy, devoting himself into teachings of Sanatan Dharma. Sadly, he has passed away recently last year. But his talks stills strike me, as a young teen in these times of the misguided youth. It's ironically a paradox for me to mention death, for death is impossible for the Eternal Soul. This is just to make my language a little easier to understand, but please check him out. Another unsung dharmic warrior. 🙏🕉️
Dharmic way of life has Brahmana and kshatriya like 2 sides of a coin. One is about how to live in world so as to reach divine (ascent to divine) and other imposes the rule of divine on to world (descent of divine). I think Intellectual kshatriya is only possible when one's budhi is aligned with divine as krishna reveled as budhi yoga in bhagavat gita!
Wow amazing all words of eternal truth in alignment with source🕉
