- We take a look at The Sopranos pinball game made by Stern and designed by George Gomez. With code written by legendary designer Lyman Sheats this game was always going to be a favourite for Gonzo.
Based on the 1999 show which centres around New Jersey mob boss Tony Soprano who deals with personal and professional issues in his home and business life that affect his mental state, leading him to seek professional psychiatric counselling.

it gets the feel of the show really well, you can tell gomez is a fan of the source material
A local spot near me has this and many great machines, this one is so damn PLAYABLE. Like I get how he can call it ugly, but the design is CLASSIC. I think this is one of the greats to be honest. Also to quote the angry video game nerd, “IT SAYS F*CK”!!!!!
Played it the first time a couple of weeks ago. I was surprised how much I liked it. Great video again. Keep them coming!

I can explain the weird fish ! In the show Soprano has some weird memory triggers. And his kids got him a talking fish for christmas that said "take me to the river,drop me in the water" and like JUST the week before he had to kill one of his best mates cus they were spying for the government. And the fish was triggering as FUUUUU.
Everyone here in America in the early 2000s was buying these talking novelty fish for their dads /husband's
Yep, he’d had a dream of his best friend as a fish telling him he’s working for the government. It’s a reference to the “sleeping with the fishes” line from the Godfather.
Loved my Sopranos - very fun gameplay and great callouts! No better frenzy mode in pinball than F'in Big Points either!

Got this pinball once in a time and really liked it, it has leaved cause of the bad shape it was in, one day maybe i will buy a better one. also loved the show!

Fish is reference to “big pussy” in the show. He was a snitch. The fish was a gift that was kind of a foreshadowing to his death . They dumped him ocean. Which is kind of a reference to “Luca Brasi sleeps with the fishes”
It is not ugly, you just don´t get the Feeling because you did not watch the TV Show 5 oer 6 times like i did. In the front there is the Pizza Store and many other Details are very nice. If i have the money to afford it one day i will buy it as my first Pinball.

I've tried it a couple of times, it seems fun, great shots. Generally I am for LED's everywhere. I cannot sleep when I get a machine until the last damn bulb has been replaced with ultra bright cold whites for the GI and color matching inserts.
That being said, this machine on a dark room will get you seizures. the constant blinking of the GI is annoying but much softer on bulbs, and you can tell it has been designed for that. see 11:30. I think that there are boards that will make the blinking softer.

Two complains about this game i had just when i saw your game and i remember my time with the game:
1. Way too easy game, even on hard
2. Left ramp problem. Chance that the ball dont get up this ramp like in 23:49 , got the same problem with mine and ball drains down the middle. very frustrating. its a known problem and not fixable..
But i really like the playfield art! And the game is soo badass like the great series.
Sometimes a theme you don’t like completely turns off a pin to you. The Sopranos does that to me. While I appreciate the design, (Jorge Gomez always does a bang up job) I can’t stand the theme so it makes it hard for me to play.
Yeah, I get that. Iron Maiden does the same for me.

Played this pinball years ago the sopranos also clocked the sopranos road to respect ps2 videogame back in 2006 miss this tv show one of greatest and best tv shows in the world the sopranos got the whole box set at home season 1 to season 6 watched them all big shame james Gandolfini died back in 2013 from a big heart attack left hes millions with hes asian wife and hes son that looks like him which hes son the many saints of newark the sopranos prequel movie before the sopranos tv show the prequel movie the sopranos tv show is better it suited james Gandolfini and all the other right actors also played in the sopranos tv show as tony sirico also died last year playing the character paulie walnuts the sopranos cult Classic tv show is missed now
