I just came back from Cairo. I absolutely in love with the city: it's the place of the contrasts. There are different parts of it and it depends what you want to see. I saw the reality with the thousands of years of history. Yes, some parts of old Cairo falling apart, there are a lot of old beautiful mosques and madrassas. Unfortunately people throwing garbage on the streets. And it's their choice, but as a guest of Cairo I saw not just garbage and poverty, I saw an amazing beauty and history. I would be back for a longer visit.
It’s good that you read the egyptian history although you are Indian , one day I met an Indian driver in Malaysia when he asked me about my country and I mentioned Egypt he asked me where’s that country 😄
@@rehab618 not everyone is well read. My family got me encyclopedia to read haha and I studied ancient civilisations when I was 8. I’m Indian from Malaysia too and I visited Cairo 6 times throughout the years.

many Egyptians did not like me visiting the wonderful country and that makes me sad. Also makes me not want to go back. I was threatened in Cairo for just waking along a road. We are all brothers and sisters and I came to your country out of interest and a love to learn about you and your culture.
I am Egyptian, because many deaths occur on the road, and we are afraid that one of us will die. We are not afraid that a foreigner will die on the road, and there are many Egyptians, especially the new generation, who are stupid in driving.
I like the slums of Egypt, full with life, reminds me the narrow streets of old places in Europe, it could be better if they did not put things out there shops on the streets
