I just came back from Cairo. I absolutely in love with the city: it's the place of the contrasts. There are different parts of it and it depends what you want to see. I saw the reality with the thousands of years of history. Yes, some parts of old Cairo falling apart, there are a lot of old beautiful mosques and madrassas. Unfortunately people throwing garbage on the streets. And it's their choice, but as a guest of Cairo I saw not just garbage and poverty, I saw an amazing beauty and history. I would be back for a longer visit.
It’s good that you read the egyptian history although you are Indian , one day I met an Indian driver in Malaysia when he asked me about my country and I mentioned Egypt he asked me where’s that country 😄
@@rehab618 not everyone is well read. My family got me encyclopedia to read haha and I studied ancient civilisations when I was 8. I’m Indian from Malaysia too and I visited Cairo 6 times throughout the years.

I was in Egypt in April, it was my 4th time visiting and I can`t wait to go back.Unfortunately, I did not get to walk around Cairo,I drove from Sharm to Giza and back on the same day so there was no time to spare as 1-way drive was over 6 hours. Was not a very smart move really, one way driving and spending the night in Cairo could have made more sense.Or driving one way and flying the other, but,lesson learned, I`ll do it better next time.
