The Egyptian people are known in the Arab world for their hospitality, honesty, and strength. There are some individual mistakes. It makes you judge an entire people poorly. It is not right to judge 110 million Egyptians poorly just because you saw someone bad. @@fdama
I never enjoyed Koshary, found it too heavy. My go to dish when I visit Egypt is fool and ta3meeya...I dont know what they do to the fool over there but it has a different kick compared to any other Arab recipe.

he wasn't trying to scam u at 4:44 he said "how am i supposed to give u change? we dont have any" which is why he kinda tipped over the jar or wtv that he was holding the money in to show you. and then towards the end of the convo he was simply asking where you were from but sounded a little aggresive. im sorry about that interaction and hopefully it doesnt stain your view on egypt and its people. i've been really enjoying watching your trip!!

The city is crowded and just crossing the street takes balls! But I love the people and culinary scene in Cairo. I tried the egyptian take on italian food a few times and their penne arrabbiata is world class.
Sunday morning and -24 here. Cairo looks warm in comparison. The only problem with the video was that it was too short. I enjoy watching you interact with locals most. Wonder if you tried Molokhia the other famous national dish. Your sunny nature and smile were fun to watch and the kanafa boys were great telling everyone to subscribe & hit the like button. Chris, I love your videos so much. I'm Egyptian American live in Houston, TX. Try to avoid these local street sellers. We Egyptians, we never go to them, trust me. Go to other high end places were most of people go in Egypt. The corn they sold it to you for 30, is sold for 5 and 10 max. These are gangs, and never deal with them.
But they need to make their money somehow. If a tourist can’t pay 30 ego to a kid in the middle of the street then you shouldn’t go to these counties but I do have to admit them not Gigi g him his change back wasn’t nice. Props to Chris for walking away
Chris, I think you are really right to be positive about the cultures you are visiting. They are just different to us. I have read that they haggle for everything because they just do. Now I run a pub and when people joke haggle with me I am like dude just pay but like... its just cultural differences. Kindness is a universal language though. I get it must be challenging at times though. Big love ❤

Chris, I love your videos so much. I'm Egyptian American live in Houston, TX. Try to avoid these local street sellers. We Egyptians, we never go to them, trust me. Go to other high end places were most of people go in Egypt. The corn they sold it to you for 30, is sold for 5 and 10 max. These are gangs, and never deal with them.

Chris, I think you are really right to be positive about the cultures you are visiting. They are just different to us. I have read that they haggle for everything because they just do. Now I run a pub and when people joke haggle with me I am like dude just pay but like... its just cultural differences. Kindness is a universal language though. I get it must be challenging at times though. Big love ❤
