In tablet mode ideal for car diagnotics software while on the go, especially with the full size USB-A port built in, so no additional dongle needed.
A regular laptop is kind of bulky for that.
You can obtain them under serveral different brands now, on Am..., eB... and the like, even without an ssd preinstalled.
How does the licensing work on that device? Is the Windows key stored in the BIOS? The drivers get provided as a download after asking for them, I assume?
No key, have to provide your own.

Thanks for adding the drivers, any possibilities you have the exact weight? seems like you'd be the only person online that does, not even aliexpress states it 😂. Also do you know if you can boot of off external drive? Another user saying they had UEFI problems in bios. Cheers.
I'll have ot get the exact weight later, it's heavier than you would expect for it's size till you realize the case is all aluminum.
I was able to boot linux just fine from a USB drive, so I cannot imagine an external hard drive being any different and would depend on the OS you are trying to boot, if it supports that. But I ran into a lot of issues for non windows based OS' not finding drivers for major components.
@@AICvideo thanks for the reply, I'll be using a user friendly distro so hopefully that'll help. Saw your other video where you booted into Linux after my post. If you can get the weight that'll be really interesting. Seen reports saying it's over 1kg but really can't imagine that!

No, it comes with 12 gigs which seems appropriate for the system.

It has a touchable display screen. I'm not sure about linux drivers.

what do you mean? It charges via USB-c with my lenovo chargers, and it will drive my 2560x1440 monitor without too much issue.
@@AICvideo USB-C ports sometimes support connecting said port to a monitor instead of the traditional HDMI port. I'm curious if it can do that and if it functions. (Portable monitor reasons)
It works with my USB-C doc, I don't have a USB c to hdmi or displayport adapter, I also don't have a monitor with USB-c connection.

You mentioned getting hot. I'm considering this to connect a dj controller (usb powered Mixtrack 1) to it running virtual DJ for a couple of hours. What do you think?

It gets warmer to the touch than say, and iPad if you were going to hold it, which seems to be the way you're supposed to use it? but if you're not holding onto it, it's perfectly fine. the CPU never got above 65degrees C, despite being pushed as hard as I could push it.
And yes, you can install windows from USB. I have my own license key, so I used that to activate it, you can skip that if you want or buy your own key.

Use it for Ham radio stuff and some hacking experiments. Install Dragon OS and Kali Linux on dual boot

It advertises 30 W PD Charging, so I'd assume that it works with a power bank supporting PD

Correct. USB type C. I use the charger for my lenovo thinkpad to charge it with.

I don't own that, and it's like $60, so I probably won't be playing it, but I'll be playing some games on it soon and recording it.
a portable devtop -- my only concern is 4 threads. i feel i need at least 8. but there IS always SSH and my desktop DOES have a 32 thread processor and I DO also have a server with 24 cores 48 threads, another server with 4 cores 8 threads, and another server with 6 cores 12 threads.
With Cinnamon (the DE i use) it's super easy to make a command into a convenient launcher option. I currently do this to launch a language with all my threads, for example, there is a second " julia" that runs " julia --threads 32", so i could also make one that launches julia remotely via SSH :p
plus i can make the icons large and make a big onscreen keyboard icon to better facilitate using it in tablet mode. It is rotatable, seems nice for video calls. I like reading in portrait too :)

@@worldshell2313 quick google search, they are the same, but the n95 is a 15w unit, the n100 is a 6w unit. so the n95 higher battery consumption and more heat for more performance.

Put Linux on it & do a new video, Fedora or Debian. Also biggest use of these is to plug into big external monitors or portable monitors for productivity like Libreoffice etc. So would be nice to see a review of performance with external monitors.
