Dear Chef, Yours is the best recipe to soak cashews and grind. Rest people suggest dry roast and dry grind. The challenge there is continous grinding will bring out the oil in cashew. I have a query on proportion. You had mentioned on weight basis. I want to know, if it is one cup to one cup, Is it the paste to Sugar or Full cashew 1 cup to sugar 1 cup! Pl clarify. Sure you don’t need any oil to keep the dough soft and prevent it from drying out?
Also, you haven’t mentioned how long the cooking/mixing process takes.
No need for oil and you knead the dough well to smooth and soft. the natural oil from the cashew itself is enough.

No need. the cashew naturally will have oil substancxe which is good enough.
