Quick tip. Render your environment in Layers. Front Midground Far. Half of your scene can be converted to a matte painting at some distance, similar to your fog cards in comp. The scene is really struggling and you are killing all the work you have done with denoising an unopitimized scene :)
I completely agree. I tried rendering in layers, but the clouds were visible in every layer, so each one ended up taking the same amount of time to render, which was way too long. Unfortunately, my GPU isn’t very powerful, so I had to lower the resolution and samples and ultimately decided to render everything in a single layer to save time
@@Phillefx Thank you so much for the tip I completely agree with it! Honestly, it didn’t cross my mind while I was working on this. This animation took about a week and a half to create, and I was working on it during my free time, so I didn’t have much opportunity to fully plan out every detail. Your feedback is incredibly helpful, and I’ll definitely keep it in mind for future projects!
@@t-bagtuto no problem. I love environment art. Did try a lot of pipeline tricks for a full cg film. I did need to move to unreal while making it involving a lot of other problems which are a breeze with offline rendering. I always underestimated how much is done in comp and how bad and neutral a lot of top cg renders look out of the box. 70% is done in post tbh. Keep going :)

@ I mean you could just render still for the faraway renderlayer and just project it on proxy geo or cards in post. Saved a lot of rendering time

Do you have a tutorial on your channel or any external tutorial link on how to create the clouds without volume? here: 24:42
unfortunately not , but it is simple as see , it's just a noise texture mixed with gradient texture
