HP pavilion is the best budget laptop. I used mine all through University. It lasted a good 8 years. It recently broken down due to my own fault of not taking good care of it. But if you take good care of it then it will last a very long time

@@zizipositena4704 clean in with air spray and a fabric cloth every week (including the battery), don't eat and drink near it, switch it on and off the proper way, be patient when it's loading updates, download an ad blocker from chrome extensions.

@@askenderaskederalle4066 I'm not sure which model it is. It's definitely HP pavilion. The model I have is heavy to carry around so its not ideal if you are looking for something you can travel with. But HP pavilion is definitely really good for all things

The two people that I know that have bought HP laptops in the past couple of years have had the screen hinges break on them within 12-15 months. In both cases, they had 12 month warranties, and the hinges broke just outside of the warranty periods. If you take one apart, you will see that the hinges are screwed into thin plastic sockets in the inside corners of the laptop's base shell. Both of them were 17" models. Honestly, the screen is nice, sharp and crisp and the specs are good; however, once the hinge breaks the laptop is nearly unrepairable. It's sad.
When Chromebook laptops are ranked with other laptops it is clear that Chromebook laptops CANNOT CERTAIN IMPORTANT and CORE applications, so right there, Chromebook created a different segmentation.
There are two kinds of clients for a laptop because there are two kinds of laptops. When I see laptop lists confuse certain people (if they don’t understand the difference) and for those who know, they automatically cross out the Chromebook in a video if they work with Microsoft .
I think Chromebook should be listed in their own segment in articles or videos.

I bought my wife 2022 HP Pavilion 15.6 because my brother in law had one that lasted 12 yrs!
Unfortunately, many reviews today only review a laptop after a few weeks into it.
Maybe readers should be aware certain issues a year or 2 into using this laptop. Just a personal experience, and may or may not apply to all. Also, they may have fixed some of the issues, or not.
I've been using it for almost 2 years now. (i7, 16GB, 1TB SSD). It was a great deal at Costco when I bought it, but I have come to regret it so much. Maybe it's just my luck, but the right side plastic hinge imploded less than a year later and so the laptop could not be closed. Plastic fragments were falling off.
The frustrating warranty repair took weeks, (the hinge part was out of stock)! Now, another year passed, it's becoming unstable again, with a few keys not working properly. For example, I could no longer capitalize the letter "q" from the right side shift key.
So, yah, I have my doubts about HP now, but users' experience may vary.
So what's your laptop of choice now? Please don't say dell. I can give you horror stories far worse.
@@BlueGravity777 , I've gone back to Acer. They maybe plasticky, but they are light and durable. I have used 3 or 4 Acer laptops in the past 20 years or so, and they do deliver the bang for the buck. I found myself coming back to it again.
I just purchased the Acer Swift 5 a couple of months ago, and so far, my only complaint is the low speaker volume. It's light, fast, no fan noise, never warm to the touch, etc. 3 year warranty also. I am happy with it.

@@BlueGravity777 , my wife and kids swear by MacBook, but I am a traditional guy. I've had good experience with Acer and Asus. I heard Lenovo is good, but for QPR, I've often found myself back to the Acer camp. It's not your top shelf stuff, but it's like a Toyota Camry for me. Make sure you look for one with 3 years of warranty, if such thing is available in your part of the world. Look into credit card extended free warranty also.
@@Birdylockso thanks for the good advice. I hadn't even considered warranties yet but but seems the logical place to start. To be honest most of my laptops have been Pavillions and Dell. God help me I hate Dell. The old Pavillions worked for me with little to no trouble. I've never had one of those Alienware, they seem ok. But it's still a Dell. Might try to steal my wallet while I sleep 🤣 maybe I should be looking at who will stand behind their product like you say and find the best warranty. I'm looking for a gamer - business computer. Work and video, video editing, a few games here and there. Nothing like the kids get into. But like to be able to if I want.

Exactly! Chrome books become bad after awhile and become slow as shit. It’s literally only meant to run chrome

Pavilion is the best computer I've ever owned.

@stephanie workman , - I have bought two of them, the cheapest ones, factory refurbished with 1 year warranty, model HP 17-cn1053cl c/w Core i5-1155G7. I bought one for my life. Then in a couple weeks later, - a 2nd one for me. They are pretty good for home and cottage use.

HP Laptops are just bad. I have one next to me that it makes so much noise that it is embarrassing even to take it out, the USB and the Wireless are not stable. After the guarantee was expired and I opened it, I found that the PCB were not screwed on the body. Especially in the low end models that you recommend I am sure that the things are really bad.
This good thing about what I write is that you can ask for a raise in what HP is paying you for the things that they sell.

hp laptop has serious problem. Its all about brightness key ,i consulted doctor because of eye pain ,finally i found problem because somebody by mistake increased brightness full ,it is very difficult to manage brightness,

It's all about Intel, Well Intel Stinks, I bought a HP 5000 Series Mobile with 6 Cores12 Threads On battery runs at 2.2 Ghz and plugged in Runs at 4.1 Ghz. maxed out the ram 32 Gigs 3200 DDR4 Dual Channel Memory. Battery life is extremely well just about 14 hrs. Face it. Intel's days are numbered.

never again hp I had bought an hp laptop in the 1000 euro price range. I was very disappointed. The hinges on the monitor broke after only two years. I didn't use the laptop very much. The battery was also very empty after a short time. All in all, I have to conclude that the processing is very cheap. HP is no longer an option for me.

Hp laptops are decent but the chrome book hp is garbage stay away .keyboard froze after 3 months and I really don’t use it that much only to print few pages for my my job report now I have to get a new one so if you going to type a lot don’t get it . Waste of money

I'd say stay away from HP. They're completely rubbish, the built quality and over experience doesn't complete with other laptop brands at the same price range.
HP omen is a very good gaming PC. I don't know where you people buy HP laptops from that it's trash, maybe it has hardware issues and you think it's the case. Faulty electronics exist you know? I've had an HP laptop for 4 years and it was on Par with Asus or Lenovo, very good build. However with any laptop, mine became very slow after 4 years of daily useage.
