Can't believe that we are on the era of restoration of Nintendo Switch by OT. I'm still using the V1 for almost 7 years and it still works and runs smoothly..
Same, I even got the OLED a couple years ago and gave my classic to my kid. Even after years of use it's still going very strong. I keep it clean and dust free.
There is something so satisfying about seeing something worn and obviously heavily used be restored to its original state. All it needed was some attention.
I can't believe that you do such excellent restoration and cleaning work as to leave that console so dirty, the fan dirty, you didn't do a job to improve the case, the work was done without as much care as you do the other jobs.
I'm glad someone else noticed this. It kind of confused me and threw me for a loop. Very different level of attention to detail than I'm used to with OT.
Seeing you repair this Nintendo switch reminds me of my own broken switch that I have been struggling to fix for quite a while. I hope I can learn a thing or two from watching you fix different things and be able to repair my switch on my own. It has been quite the journey from not knowing how to do a single thing, causing more damage to the switch, and then learning how to fix that part as well. I just hope I will develop the skills to actually fix it though. Your videos are very entertaining, and I may gain more knowledge from them in order to fix my switch. Thank you for walking through your steps better than other channels I have seen. It has been pretty helpful!
I would like to reach out and say thank you for being honest with your content. This literally is a fake restoration video. The board was swapped and I'm also very disappointed. The shade of green is different, the markings on the coil next to the BQ chip differs, the USB port wasn't changed and has factory solder on it...
@@Delcaek Yeah, I found this video so bizarre... as someone that has fixed a few switches, you can see from the mounting holes on the port that there is no way those inner pads are properly making contact. Yo that step definitely annoyed me. I was like so you are just not going to remove that old adhesive? Like that's a step you ALWAYS do especially seeing how rough that old adhesive did.
depending on how you look at it, the switch can be considered a current gen as well, not to mention unlike playstation and xbox, nintendo hasn't released a successor to the switch yet.

This is great to see. I remember repairing a switch I got by getting new joycon rails for it because the owner who had it dropped it and one of the rails got ripped out. Only was able to use two of the 5 screws to hold it in and it works perfectly now. Was a nice repair lol, also added new thermal paste :P
