    Great video - very thorough - appreciate it. It's a very straightforward job, and you raised all the great tips for those who've never done this before. Well done. My Givi's are going on this week too - really like the look. That skid plate is so chincy though!!

    You should remove the skid plate, but only to cut a relatively small relief that allows the oil filter to be pulled out without having to remove the skid plate the next time. Also, remove the fill plug, not to remind you to put oil in it, but to allow the oil to flow out much easier.

    I wish you could show me how to put the huge skid plate on the Expedition.
    Did oil change last night and had to wrestle it off. Hope it goes on easier than it came off.
    Thanks for the video!

    Great video very informative , if you put it on its side stand you'll get more of the old oil out. Also in the UK the first service has to be done at the dealer or you lose your warranty 😡😡

    In US you don’t loose warranty for doing this on your own? In mexico you need to bring it to the dealer with 1000 to 1030 km or you loose warranty forever

      I don’t believe that they can legally deny your warranty if you have documented and receipts for properly changing the oil and filter on the motorcycle. You would need to check with your own dealer to confirm this as I think a certain amount of it is up to the discretion of the dealer that you will be using. If your dealer allows you to change it yourself then certainly do it you can always bring the bike by for them to hook the computer to and read if there are any error warnings or codes that have developed on the bike during the break-in period. Thanks for your question. By the way at the end of my break in/run in. My dealer did not even have the filter for the bike or the O-Rings.

    Thank you for making this video! Will you please share a link/name of the torque wrench you used for tightening the filter and screens?

      I used a Harbor freight 1/4" drive click type torque wrench. Here is a similar one on Amazon through my affiliate link amzn.to/3Cebatb

    So it took 3 full quarts of oil or just a little more?

    did you pay the $600+ for first service? or?

    • @nordenamerica
      @nordenamerica  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nope just did it myself. When the bike has actual problems I’ll take it in and ask them to check it out under warranty

      @@nordenamerica that's what I'm thinking. If it were a reasonable price to plug-in and check things, I'd be on it, but $600 is crazy.
