Hmmm I'd have to see the process, off the top of my head if you deleted all associated polygroups and the sides of the petal and plane were shared, they'd get deleted as well; to play it save, you can ctl+shift visibility marquee drag to select a small portion of the petals, then hit ctl+shift+a to grow all visibility, then delete hidden to get rid of anything not associated with the petals.
Hello Mike, Is turn off shadow the same macro as, Current light/on off (lightcap menu button)? Haven't tested it but from the looks of it one should work directly from macros tab (turn off shadows), and the other from the lightcaps menu? maybe i'm mistaking... Thanks on the videos

barely five minutes in and I learnt many new things. wow, this is some high quality content.
Many thanks Michael! you are the best sir!
ole video still extremely useful today! thanks alot!
how did he isolate petal at the start to get rid of the plane
ctrl shift click any polygroup to isolate it, then geometry > modify topology > delete hidden
When I deleted the planes, it also automatically deleted the sides of petals. No idea how to fix that

render/render properties
it would do no harm to tell us how you are selecting and deselecting. its a pain to try follow along.
IE how the hell did you switch back from spot-light to sculpting so easily???????
thanks in advance :)
