Due to work I couldn't watch this live, but may I say, Dariush, you are a great interviewer! Many great questions, and time went by so fast while I was watching it.
What a brilliant interview! I've always enjoyed watching Eugens channel, but hearing him talk to you is such a treat. I love and admire his honesty and have such respect for the way he talks about himself, his life and his work. I hope his brand will be a huge success! I'd love to try his fragrances sometime, I am sure they are very, very good. I know his taste in perfume and am convinced that only the best of the best is good enough for him. No marketing strategy, no cash grabbing, no cheap ingredients......I agree with you Mr. P. that maybe he should take some of the artistic credits too...... I'll catch up on the vetiver master class soon! My favorite ingrediënt in perfumery......
Eugen and I have a rather particular (and peculiar) history dating back to the mnemonically misty days of Facebook a decade ago. I have not as yet smelled any of these scents but I can imagine that, if they're anything like Eugen, they're uncommon, memorable, and emotionally meaningful. And I couldn't be prouder of that dude ❤
I was really looking forward to this - can’t wait to watch it on the weekend 🤩 After following Eugen for quite a while this is actually the first time I see his surname. I had the chance to smell the scents and all three are really exceptional!
Antoine Lee is great! Unfortunately, his perfumes are usually too expensive for me to own. However, I am looking forward to trying Eugene’s new scents. Dariush, thank you so much for making this happen.
This is wonderful.all the three are masterpieces they truly are,and Antoine Lee is a fabulous perfumer and so down to earth..Eugene is a pure talent, everything he does in his life he does it to perfection,if he was a perfumer he would be one of the best perfumers ever to exist.thanks brother Dariush for this amazing interview you’re an amazing reviewer and nose.
OMG, what a great video and so much fun! Loved every question and every moment. This was truly the ultimate video for us hopelessly romantic perfume lovers. I am so grateful for this community because most people I know think I am overly a perfume nut to put it mildly. I love these kind of videos and it seems that there are more of us perfume maniacs that I ever realized. God bless us all and Tiny Tim too! (I wonder what perfune Tiny Tim would have worn). Eugene, I wish you much success and Dariush, you continue to amaze us and keep us interested in perfumes.
Good chat, and thanks for incorporating some of the questions a few of us were batting about before. Very torn about TH-camr fragrances. There’s a ton of shadiness at work among the American TH-camrs who attach their names to perfumes, men seemingly unfamiliar with how conflicts of interest work. But Eugen’s setup seems legit, and he was open about the fact that ultimately this is the perfumer’s creation, which is what you want to hear from an enthusiast who respects the art and the artist. While I might not be creating space for these offerings on my shelf, I’ll say that this interview made it clear that a TH-camr can actually put out fragrances in a way that feels organic and honest.
Navitus only slaps youtuber names on their bottles. Eugene IMHO has invested his own funds(and quite a bit if it) and commissioned and sought after creating his brand and perfume. Just like Aerin Lauder would. Surely there's a difference. To me it's a huge difference.
Please look. There is E, 3, M, W. This image is pregnant. Garlands, really, the way they lope along, but so strict as well, is comment upon the scent, is it not? Four. 🍀
God had all the inspirations back then, otherwise the world would not be known to us and obviously God still has the last word. I wonder if God wears perfume. Perhaps so, as he gave us the sense of smell in the first place.
This was most enjoyable. I want to say for those that are quick to compare his talent with other TH-camrs, although Eugene is generously giving Antoine Lee who composed these magical elixirs due credit, Eugene, is architect (as Eugene mentioned). He's still a co-designer and co-composer in my mind. Was Mr. Dior sewing every dress designed by him, does every jewelry designer sit at the bench(as a jewelry designer I can attest, no, I do design, but do not sit at the bench). I also want to share that his perfumes are NOT the same genre or situation as other youtuber branded offerings(I.e.Navitus). Eugene has on his own accord and effort, from A-Z, created a brand, invested funds, designed logos and bottles, reached out to Antoine Lee, marketed, packaged and shipped everything. There's no comparison to what some other youtubers are doing(lending their name to a bottle and being involved a bit in the creative process). This interview was highly enjoyable, Dariush. Zan.zendegi.azadi.
This is the collab I needed!
Thanks for watching.

Finally. The meeting of two renowned perfume critics. Absolutely interesting!
Thanks very much indeed.

Heartbreak as inspiration for perfumes? That goes along with about 80 percent of songs that are about love and breakups.
This is very true!
Thanks for watching.
So if we're doing TH-camr perfume now, I'm guessing Fragrance One and Navitus are next?
At the moment, I have no plans to interview the founders of those brands.
Thanks very much for watching.
